It is pleasantly quiet out here in the country (7 miles from downtown Moscow) and surrounded by acres of forest and farmland. Situated on top of a ridge, you can look out any of the windows and see gorgeous, peaceful views. Relax out on the deck, eat outside on the porch if you'd like, walk our 11-acre property, go to the barn & visit the alpacas—even help with farm chores if you want! Go to the barn and pet the alpacas with Deb (owner), feel their luxurious fleece & see the gorgeous products we make from it— it's really quite a sweet life!

The first room is the yellow queen room and has it's own private half bath. It also has a mounted smart TV over the desk & chair. Use the dresser and get your clothes out of your suitcase! The closet is for your hanging clothes and also has an ironing board and iron. In the closet is also a small kitchenette set-up with microwave, small refrig, coffeemaker, dishes & utensils. We also stock the frig with continental breakfast foods and drinks for you to enjoy in your room.

Next door down the hall and between the queen room and the twin room is the full bathroom for your use and for the others in your party using the twin room.

On the far side of the full bath is the cozy red twin room. It has 2 twin beds, dresser, desk & chair, and a closet to hang clothes and also a mini-frig, microwave, coffeemaker, dishes & utensils. The frig is also stocked with continental breakfast foods and drinks. It also has a small mounted TV.

Both comfortable rooms have quite different and beautiful views!

Awesome! Thanks Deb and Blake…
The ride to the property was rolling hills of wheat fields. The property itself had a feeling of home. Deb welcomed us upon arrival which was very casual and immediately made us feel like we were among family. We would come and go as if it was our home. My wife loved the alpacas and we enjoyed having coffee in the mornings on the front porch and take in nature. From the bobbing robins to the hummingbirds feeding on the beautiful flowers. On our last night I had the pleasure of having a great conversation with Blake (affectionately called Patch) about family, career, the move to Moscow and more. We were here to visit my son, daughter-in-law and grandson who live in Troy about 10 minutes away. It was conveniently located about 15 minutes from Moscow as well. As a bonus the continental items provided in your own room for breakfast were fresh and delicious. The property was spotless and well-cared for. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this property.

About the host

Host profile image
I'm Deb and my husband is Patch. We love people and getting to know them! We want you to be very comfortable in our home. We've been hosting with Vrbo and another venue for a few years now and have had great reviews from our wonderful guests.

We'd love to have you stay and enjoy our home, our property, the fantastic views around here, and farm life with alpacas (wanna help do chores in the barn?—sure, you bet!) We've had more than one person say that our place is "a little slice of heaven."

Why they chose this property

We looked and looked in the area for a suitable home that had enough pasture and a barn for the alpacas where we would be able to easily see them. We just couldn't find one that seemed right, so we built one ourselves instead! It's ideal in every way.

Originally set up to give us and our four children each their own room, we found they grew up, moved out, and we were left with 4 extra rooms! What to do, what to do . . .
We decided to try using a couple of those rooms for hosting and here we are—lovin' it!

What makes this property unique

We are about 7 miles out from downtown Moscow. The drive out to our place is quite scenic with beautiful views of the Palouse farmland growing wheat and lentils with the twin "sisters" of Moscow Mountain as backdrop. It's quiet and peaceful out here.

When you look out the window from your queen room you will see the barn and alpaca activity along with a gorgeous view of farm land with a creek running through it. It reminds us of the Shire where the hobbits live!

On the side of the house where you will enter is the porch with a fantastic view of our "mountains." They change by season and time of day. We like to just sit and relax out on the porch on nice days and you're welcome to take a gander too!

Down the road about a 1/4 mile is Robinson Park for picnicking, hiking, and playing sports. There's lots to do in the college towns of Moscow and nearby Pullman, and so much beauty and the great outdoors along with all the interesting little towns surrounding us.
