About this property
Kenai River Kayak and Cabin #3 30 feet from the riverbank
Kenai River Kayak and Cabin #3 is 30 feet from the Kenai River. This is the 3rd unit of 6 on the property.
Cabin number 3 is a dry cabin that was built 30 feet from the in the 1970s and is grandfathered in as buildings can no longer be built this close to the water. The remodel has been completed in 2021 and is always being upgraded. It is a 12x16 cabin with a front and rear door. Please call 907-953-7069 with any questions.
It has a twin/full style bunk bed that sleeps 2 with memory foam mattress toppers All linens and blankets are provided. Fully furnished with wood and leather furniture. Free WiFi and smart TV
The “dry” kitchenette has everything in it but it the kitchen sink. It has a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, and infrared cooktop. We also use a hot/cold water dispenser so there is water in the cabin. There’s basic cooking utensils, and pots and pans plus paper plates.
For outdoor cooking we have Weber charcoal grills, propane gas grills, and a traeger pellet smoker in the covered cooking area.
For bathrooms I have a shared separate 12x16 shower-house with two full bathrooms located 30 seconds behind the cabin. In it are two separate bathrooms, that have upright showers, toilets and sinks. The hot water is on demand.
There is approximately 150 feet of private fishing access right in front I have nets, 6 camp rods and reels for use. The hardware, knives and tackle is on you. I don’t give out the pointy stuff We have cleaning tables, hoses, and a natural disposal system in the front yard when you are done cleaning the fish. Each unit has its own chest freezer. I do have food saver vacuum packers to get you started but there’s no commercial vacuum packer at this time.

My daughter and I needed a place to bring our dogs and this was the place! The cabin was clean and provided what we needed. The bathrooms were also clean. The property was well taken care of and provided a front seat the the river!
We enjoyed our stay on Robbie's property. There were several cabins & yurts, which would be perfect for a large group. The bathrooms, in a separate building, are very clean and spacious. The location is right by the Kenai River. He has piers and cleaning stations for any fish you have caught. He was a wonderful host.
Really enjoyed our time at this special place. The host was really focused on making sure his guests were enjoying themselves throughout the day. Can't stay any closer to the river as it is right outside your cabin door. Central to both Soldotna and Kenai.

Disappointed
Great potential, our cabin was right next to the Kenai river. We couldn't get any fresh air in the cabin because it didn't have any screens on the window or doors and there were mosquitos. The bathrooms are seperate from the cabins. Low water pressure caused the toilets not to flush properly so we had to drive to a gas station to use the restroom.

Reached out to VRBO customer service. This person did not stay in Cabin 3.
Robbie the host was an awesome communicator and really made sure we had everything we needed to have a great stay. The amenities were nice with a grill and smoker available for us along with some fishing poles to go after the salmon on the Kenai river which was just as advertise only 30' from you door step. Our timing was bad between fish runs but it was still a great location to explore outside of Soldotna.
What I have to said is A+++ rate will go back every year excellent place, excellent people.

Was a great get away with the kids! Very easy to find and close to everything youd want to do in Soldotna. We were greated and showed around everything the place had to offer. Room was cute and cozy! Beds were very comfortable. Robbie was a great host for sure! Available when we needed help getting a fire started during a rainy weekend! When my oldest wanted a bigger fire he said "Hold on! Let me see what else we can add to the fire!" Very friendly and welcoming and made sure the kiddos had fun! Gave them each a set of binoculars to use while we were there. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again!
