Enjoy Spectacular Sunset Views ☀️ On True Lakefront

Amenities include a brand new 600 square foot deck with unobstructed views of the Fox Chain O' Lakes for the grill-master to enjoy. Only 25 steps away from the home are 2 private 24' docks for those evenings when you want to catch the moonlight off of the water or fish. With 175 feet of private waterfront, our floor-to-ceiling bay window will lend a stunning lake view and has built-in bench seating surrounding a custom-built table designed to accommodate 8 people with 4 additional counter stools that surround the kitchen island.
We have a completely renovated, raised ranch-style home with an open concept including an updated kitchen (with all the amenities) and living room. The master bedroom features a brand-new king bedroom suite with walk-in closet (smart TV). The second bedroom has a queen bed with nightstand and a chair 1/2 twin sleeper featuring direct lake views out of 5 of 7 windows (smart TV). The main floor also has a remodeled bathroom with shower. Also remodeled is our lower-level, featuring a sectional sleeper, a bedroom cove with 2 twin beds accompanied by a trundle unit, updated second bathroom with shower, and a laundry room.
Take a paddle on 1 of 2 kayaks (included) or enjoy conversation around the nice firepit to talk about your memorable day on the lake or your activities in downtown Fox Lake which is only a half-mile away! We have plenty of space in the back yard to set up for a corn-hole tournament or other outdoor activities to keep you outdoors when you are not on the lake.
Summer fun: You will be a 25-minute drive to 6 flags or spend the day at the beautiful Chain O' Lakes State Park which is only an 8-minute drive. The home is also in close proximity to a beach with a park for the kiddos! Head downtown and grab an ice cream, take in a movie at Fox Lake theatre, or browse the local shops.
Winter fun: Whether its snow skiing at Wilmot Mountain which is only a 12 minute drive, Snowmobiling, or Ice Fishing, there are plenty of memories to make!
The Chain O'Lakes, or simply "The Chain", is a waterway system composed of 15 lakes connected by the Fox River and man-made channels. Encompassing more than 7,100 acres of water, 488 miles of shoreline and 45 miles of river. There are too many restaurants to mention with boat access located on the Chain however we are very close to El Puerto Mexican Restaurant which is a local favorite. Enjoy Blarney's Island which feature a restaurant, bar, and live entertainment daily in the summer and only accessible by boat!

My wife, Judy, and I had a great time fishing and boating The property has great views of the lake gorgeous sunsets every night. The house was stocked with everything that you could think of. Laura and Kirk are awesome great to work with and very responsive overall it was a great place to stay, and we would definitely do it again.

Great location

The house was very well stocked and accommodated our family get together. We rented the homeowners boat and it was great to able to get out on the lake every day. There were restaurants very close and easy to access by boat.

Perfect Lake House

Absolutely blown away by this property. The location is perfect, right on the lake with minimal stairs down to the water. The house is laid out very nicely and was clean and incredibly well stocked. We loved our trip & thank you again!

Cozy waterfront location in Fox Lake

Property is better than described in listing - there is nothing that needs to be added or improved. It’s a perfect location on the lake and close to many restaurants and bars. Also, great for children and pets. Kirk and Laura were very responsive and communicative which we appreciated. We look forward to returning when the weather warms up.

A Stay With A View

This fully upgraded, overwhelming stocked home has one top priceless quality among its many - the full lake view. From main floor, full deck, bedroom, dining area and yard, the gorgeous view of the lake is a feature that’s not to be missed. Birds of all sorts grace the dock and nearby piers for a most spectacular daily performance. Wonderful stay for those looking for fun AND peace.

Our family gathered in this lovely home. It is the best VBRO that we have stayed in! The place was clean and fully stocked with such great things. It felt like we were staying with relatives rather than in a rental home. The kitchen has all of the pots, pans, silverware, plates, spices, coffee, and snacks that you could want. And the bathrooms have all the things that you might forget.And so many activities to do. It was winter time so we could not take advantage of the kayaks on the lake. But the jigsaw puzzles and the games that were available really helped us during our times of being in the house.

Family Reunion

The house was wonderful! So many amenities, kitchen utensils were fantastic, beautiful location, lots of towels, spices, just everything a family would need for a week! We loved the pontoon boat, fire pit, bags game and the deck was fantastic! Loved our stay and would return. Kirk and Laura were so responsive and helpful during our check-in process and answering all of our questions. Highly recommend and would return.

Wonderful Home on the Lake

Our Family had a wonderful time on Nippersink Lake at this beautiful home. There was a lot to do at the home itself and in the town close by. The Sunsets every night were AMAZING! We planned our day around being back to the house- they were not to be missed.We enjoyed the fire pit at night and the wonderful shade the gazebo provided during the day. Having the boat rental option was a definite plus. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We truly loved staying there.

Nice Lake Stay

We had to swing up to the area last minute and found this nice little property right in Fox Lake, on the water. It was winter so it was cold and windy but it was a cozy place to stay with a nice view and easy access to shops, stores, and food. We appreciated the holiday decorations and some nice touches around the property. Deck was great and would be fun to utilize in the warmer months.

A slice of heaven!

Kirk and Laura's home is just perfect for a lake get-a-way! They truly thought of everything that anyone would need and were incredible hosts! We spent 10 days on this escape and were very sad to leave. Their home is very clean, with enough of everything one needs, comfortable beds and bedding a fantastic deck with beautiful lake views and so much more! I can't recommend this property enough! Relaxing and well designed little lake home

We really enjoyed spending 5 nights at this beautifully designed little lake getaway home with our family of 3. Our closest friends joined us for few days on the weekend too, and we all fit very comfortably. The owners really thought of every little detail including sweet coffee and snack baskets. The grill and new deck was our favorite spot to watch the sunset as well at the living room bay windows with views of the lake all around. We also enjoyed the fire pit - teaching our goddaughter how to make s’mores! What a relaxing stay. Looking forward to returning.

Amazing Sunsets!

We traveled here last week and had such an amazing time. It was the perfect size home for two families with 3 kids. The home has such cute little touches- you can tell Laura/Kirk were very thoughtful in the decor and was stocked with literally everything you needed. We definitely overpacked! Now we know for next trip. We also rented the boat and enjoyed daily strolls around the chain finding the sand bars. Overall an amazing stay. We def hope to come back again! Thanks for sharing your home with us :)

Family Memories

This Lake House was fantastic. Everything about this home said sit back and deep breathe and relax on Lake Time. We wanted for nothing ! We had just suffered a family loss and the timing of our getaway was perfect for our healing process. Great week

We loved our stay at Fox Lake. The house was perfect and had everything we needed and more. Having the pontoon boat was great. We went out every day and sometimes at night. We explored some of the different lakes along the "chain" and enjoyed looking at all the beautiful homes. The only thing I'd change next time would be to try to arrange dates that include the weekend. We had four 22 year old guys with us. We tried to find the sandbars on Monday and Tues but the lake was pretty dead on those days. It got busier as the week progressed. They still had fun but I know they would have enjoyed the sandbar on the weekend. And.....it would have been nice if they would have caught a couple fish. Oh well...better luck next time! :) They claimed the netted tent on the deck as their "lounge" and hung out there most nights. The deck was beautiful, by the way and the sunsets were amazing! I would definitely recommend this house. It was small but they utilized every space perfectly and we never felt cramped. It was beautifully decorated, clean, beds were comfortable and Kirk and Laura were quick with responses to questions, which I really appreciated. Thank you, Kirk and Laura!!

Everything was wonderful. The air was crisp outside but warm and cozy inside. Every essential was available. The accommodations were perfect for our family of 5 adults and one baby and little pup. The hosts were quick to respond to our inquiries before our arrival and were great to work at checkout. We hope to return during the warmer seasons to get the full lake life experience. This is NOT a complaint just a recommendation for guests. If you are planning on staying with a baby or someone you would be concerned with an open staircase consider bringing or renting an additional baby gate. The hosts graciously provide one for use but having the second helped greatly.

Absolutely perfection! Our plans changed from when we originally booked. The hosts were so gracious and helped us reschedule. The property was so beautiful. Great family time

We thoroughly enjoy every aspect of our stay. The home is perfect and just as described, the outdoor areas and property is lovely. We have stayed in lots of VRBO properties and this is in the top! Definitely would stay again. Handley’s were great to work with- super prompt with communication. Very helpful! Wonderful time at this quaint, clean and well appointed home… nothing left to chance!
