Had a wonderful time at the cabin, well furnished with everything you need to make the stay perfect. plenty of room and clean. Property manager was very easy to work with and communicated in timely fashion. definitely will stay again.
This was exactly what we needed for our yearly family get-together. It's a large home with plenty of room, plenty of bathrooms, and a geat kitchen, we cooked enchiladas for 20! The outside area was family friendly with lots of room and close to McPhee Reservoir. Alek was a great host, very responsive. Hopefully, we can come back next year!
House has good bones but there needs maintenace inside and out. Felt the beds were full and not queen as advertised. We would not rent again for the price paid.
Such a nice space to celebrate a special occasion with friends who I cherish so much. This house provided such a fun safe place with plenty of room for myself and friends to enjoy my 40th.

This property should never be allowed on VRBO. When we walked into this house we could not believe what a mess it was.The garage can was full, spider webs were on all the light fixtures & windows, the counters and tables were covered with dust & grime as well as dirty windows. We found tuffs of animal hair in the TV room. We spent a couple hours cleaning and dusting before we could even move our gear into this place. One of the bath tubs had hair in it…. One of our guests got shocked when he plugged a phone charger in a socket it their bedroom that night, it had two prongs sticking out of the lower outlet that he was using. The home owner said why did he use it? Well because the light in that room only 1 bulb out of three work and it was terribly dark! And he didn’t see it. Our bedroom had a chemical odor which might have been from a new foam mattress but it was terrible to try and sleep. The final straw was the two coffee pots both had old moldy coffee grounds in them…. We couldn’t spend another night in this place and moved to an another place the next day. The owner Did offer a cleaning refund but not any refund on the 4 nights that we paid for but didn’t stay due to the condition of this property. We would not have even stayed the first night but had nowhere else to go.The property owner told us that we were not a good fit for his property which was correct, no VRBO renter would consider a filthy home a good fit. I cannot imagine how this house was/is allowed on VRBO.
We loved our stay at this cabin! It met all our needs for rooms and beds, and we especially loved that we could take our dogs. We took my parents-in-law, who stayed in the main level room with adjoining bathroom. My family and I stayed upstairs, with my youngest on the pull-out bed in the family room. There was enough seating in the kitchen, and everything was well stocked. Great location, only 20 minutes away from the entrance of Mesa Verde National Park.
Beautiful view of the mountains and surrounding area in a great location to walk dogs, etc. There was a slight problem with ants and crickets. It looked like the cabin had not been cleaned in some time, with some cobwebs and insects. However, the sheets and bedding, and bathrooms, and kitchen were clean.
Thanks again for a great stay!
Cozy cabin in a quiet area, convenient to Cortez and Dolores. The host was very responsive when we could not get the oven to turn on.
We could not find a 4th bedroom with a double bed that was listed, but we still had enough space. There is an EV charger in the listing but I’m not sure it actually functions. We did not have an EV so did not affect our stay.
Really enjoyed the location and stay here! Not super remote yet very quiet and peaceful. Watching the sunsets here were breathtaking!
House was well stocked and accommodate us well!
We are repeat visitors to Bandit Ranch. We always enjoy visiting and spending our much needed family time at this spot. We come as family to escape into the mountains and to use Bandit Ranch as basecamp for our visits to Moab, Bears Ears, Durango, and the Navajo Nation. It is cozy, especially with the fireplace and back porch that allows us an amazing view. My kids enjoy all the space and places to ride their bikes. They also enjoy the large indoor areas for playing boardgames, playing pool, and hide and seek. My kids are already asking when they can return to Bandit Ranch. We are a large family, so we love the space and amenities. We recommend 10/10!
The house was absolutely perfect. Clean and comfortable. It was snowy so we weren’t able to enjoy the land as much as we would have liked. The kids didn’t want to come home!! Alek was a wonderful host.
Great cabin. The host was very accommodating and usually responded to our communication within a couple hours.
We had teens so the high speed internet, big screen tv, pool table, ping pong table, and darts were a hit. (There were no terrestrial channels or cable TV available.)
The kitchen was well appointed we were able to cook three meals. The kitchen table was only big enough for 6. However, there are two tables so you can use the extra table if you need more. Great big windows to take in the scenery. The morning sun is pretty intense. So, some window shades might be good to have installed in the future.
County access road is very well-maintained. The backyard isn’t entirely closed off. So a medium to small dog could easily get out. So you can’t just leave them in the back yard.
Within 30 minutes from Phil’s world, which is a great mountain bike trail system in Cortez.
We had a great time and will definitely be back.
Bandit's Ranch was the perfect spot for relaxing and hanging out with friends. Lots of space inside and outside for everyone to spread out, great kitchen, comfy living room, and fun game room! We saw mule deer in the backyard and lots of birds. The owner was super responsive, friendly and accommodating.
