LIC #3313 The Eagle's Nest is a beautiful 5 bedroom 4.5 bath home in the hills above Estes Park with breathtaking views of the nearby mountain peaks. Only .5 miles to Rocky Mountain National park and .5 miles to downtown Estes Park. The hot tub on the deck overlooks the valley below.
The gourmet kitchen has a large Sub Zero fridge, double ovens, and a gas cooktop. 4 large flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, shuffleboard, and games. Large enough for big groups, 3 separate floors, 4,500 sqft of space to spread out.
There are three floors to this spacious property. The 1st floor has a front entry and an entertainment room. The 2nd floor has all the common areas - kitchen, dining, living rooms along with one master suite with its own private balcony. There is a large outdoor living space off the kitchen where the hot tub is located. The 3rd floor has 4 bedrooms including another master suite with a private balcony. There are two driveways to the property - one from below that leads to the first floor and another that comes from above with access to the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Just a few minutes from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, The Eagle's Nest is located in a private, quiet, mountainside neighborhood overlooking the Big Thompson River. When you look out the front picture windows at Lumpy ridge and the Mummy Range of RMNP it's hard to believe you are only a 5-minute drive to downtown - close enough to walk if you are looking to stretch your legs. Just a half mile down Riverside Dr from downtown Estes Park.
WINTER TRAVEL - in the winter, snow is frequent and the driveway is steep. With 5-6 significant snow days (more than 3 inches) a month from November to April, we highly recommend at least 4-wheel drive. The paved driveway to the front of the house is about a 12% grade. There is a gravel road to the back of the house which has a 7% grade but is not as steep as the front. There is a good chance that you will experience some snow during your stay - which is one of the best things about Estes Park in the winter - but if you aren't prepared can cause problems! The driveway to the front of the house is steep - 4-wheel drive is required in the winter. Enough parking for 5-6 cars. Only a half-mile drive to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park and the same half-mile drive to downtown Estes Park.
An electric vehicle charger (Tesla Wall Connector with adapter for any J1772 EV) is free to use in one of the lower floor garages. The 60 Amp 240-volt circuit provides 11.5 kW of power. As an example, this charges a Tesla Model 3 (extended range) at 44 mph. There is an elevator on the property that is kept locked due to liability issues. If you have an accessibility need, please contact the owner to discuss use - which would involve signing a liability waiver.

The house was awesome! Very clean and very spacious for a big group! Dave was a great host very helpful and answered every question we had very quickly! We would definitely stay here again!!
Fine home with top quality appliances/furnishings, ample room for ten people, close to downtown but far enough away, large front windows with lovely view, met our needs perfectly.
Home was spacious and a great fit for our entire family. The view was spectacular and the game room was a hit for the kids. The location was perfect for Rocky Mountain National Park and to the town of Estes Park. We enjoyed our stay!
Eagles's Nest was perfect for our family gathering of 9, ranging in age from 5 to 79. It was clean, well laid out and roomy. Beds were very comfy with nice linens, and we all loved the fluffy bathroom towels. The kitchen was very spacious and well stocked with all the supplies and utensils that we needed. Best of all was the very large dining table and that gorgeous view! The location was terrific, very close to RMNP, and a doable walk into town for those who are regular walkers. The front drive was quite steep, as noted in the listing, but having the rear drive/access is a good alternative. Our host, Dave, was very responsive and attentive, making this a truly fantastic memory for all of us.
This house was perfect for a vacation with our extended family. The location is close to everything in Estes Park, the rooms are spacious and just as described. We would happily stay here again.
The view from the home was incredible. Accommodations were luxurious, and the home was very thoughtfully stocked. We would love to stay here again sometime.
Eagle’s Nest was a terrific experience! We really enjoyed the view, house, spacious rooms, amenities and kitchen! Loved the location…close to town but absolutely serene! We loved it! We will be back!
We love the house! Great location and has everything you need for a home away from home. Beautiful Mountain View’s! 3 large smart TV’s and an awesome hot tub. Would definitely recommend!
Gorgeous home for my family to gather for a long weekend. We reveled in the comfortable and beautifully-appointed spaces, the spectacular mountain landscape and the nearness to hiking and enjoying The Rockies. I would recommend this home unreservedly.
Our extended family ages 4-60+ enjoyed celebrating our parents retirements at this great property. The house was spacious and the teenagers loved the game room. The owner was extremely responsive and the property had everything that we needed. Huge perks were the hot tub and the garages.
First vacation in 20 years and it was well worth it. The property was perfect. Great location, great amenities, and just a wonderful trip. There were so many little details that made the stay even more enjoyable. Great views. Will stay again if possible and hopefully it won't be 20 more years.
Spacious house right outside Estes Park for a family Thanksgiving. Plenty of rooms for everyone with quick access to things to do in town. House was fully furnished with all the necessities for preparing a Thanksgiving meal (aside from the food of course). Great view of the mountains at all hours.
This home is clean, spacious and well stocked with everything you would want in a rental, even toys for a two year old. The hot tub was very clean, and we all tremendously enjoyed the weekend. Will definitely rent this home again for an Estes getaway!
What a beautiful home. The location was perfect. We stayed for 3 nights during spring break. Estes Park received 3 feet of snow during our stay and it was magical. We cooked all our meals and the kitchen is perfectly stocked. Hope to stay there again next year.
House was wonderful. We have been staying in houses for years and this has the best view of mountains. I would recommend this to any large group. Elk were around each day. Quick access to downtown Estes.
This was a perfect place for us to stay with 5 couples from high school. We enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful space for hanging out and cooking. The view is amazing and we watched an eagle, deer, elk and other creatures from the huge picture windows. David was great to work with. We had an awesome time!
We truly had such an amazing stay! We came for our wedding and the house was hands down the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. Everything was incredibly clean and the house is stocked with pretty much every amenity anyone could ever need. The beds were very comfy, rooms nice and spacious. The views are incredible from pretty much every room in the house! We will definitely be back and will be staying there again! Dave, was wonderful to work with and very pleasant for everything we reached out to him about.
My family met up with my inlaws to stay here during our visit to Estes Park. We have never been to Colorado before and we were in complete awe of just how beautiful it is here. We enjoyed the views from the property and the hot tub and shuffle board won the group over. It was fairly easy to find and get to despite the road construction in the area. It is very close to downtown Estes Park and convenient to get to. The guide book the owner provided was an amazing bonus with great recommendations. The accomodations were absolutelt perfect and we will be recommending this property to anyone travelling there.
Beautiful views, as described-close to RMNP and downtown Estes Park
Beautiful view from the large picture windows in the living/dining room. Saw elk and/or deer in the mountain meadow every morning. Property is professionally managed, clean, with quality appliances. Phone app was accurate and helpful even without cell service.
We did experience a communication issue but this was resolved satisfactorily prior to our departure. With 11 family members from 3 to 65 all were happy and comfortable with the property.
We just got back from our week in Estes Park staying at Eagle’s Nest. I can’t say enough good things about this house or the area! We are a family of 6 (4 kids all teens) and we had plenty of room and cozy common areas to hang out together.
The house was very clean and well stocked.
But above all was the spectacular view from the living room kitchen eating area. Gorgeous mountains!
It’s also in a great location. The supermarket is less than 10 minutes away and the shopping Main Street is also under 10 minutes.
One of the entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park is only 15 minutes.
One of the best family vacations we’ve ever had. We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you!!

My wife and I live with our 4 children in Loveland, CO - just 40 minutes from Estes Park. We love visiting Estes Park with our children and decided to share our experience here with others. We love the mountains and all the activities that come with it.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the Eagle's Nest for the amazing views, the private feel yet proximity to downtown, activities and especially Rocky Mountain National Park. When you relax in the hot tub on the deck, lounge on one of the private balconies or look out one of the picture windows you would never know you are only .6 miles from downtown - all you can see are mountain peaks and tree tops. The experience of being out in the mountains with the convenience of being so close to town is second to none.
What makes this property unique
This house is so nice - built well and no expense spared. The furnishings are top quality and comfortable. From the luxury comfort of the best mattresses on all the beds to the Tesla charger in the garage. This house has everything you could possibly want on your vacation.
