Family getaway

Summit Pass was the perfect property for a three generation getaway. It was spotless, comfortable for everyone, and had plenty of in house entertainment to keep everyone happy on a rainy day.

Great family Stay!!

We had a group of 12 stay here. The property is beautiful! Beds were great. Kids and adults both loved the pool! Game room was well setup. We used some furniture to block the stairs and it worked great to keep the littles from going up or down without an adult. Property is very easy to find. We got to see a bear going thru the back yard one day! Amazing stay

Perfect Getaway

We had a large group consisting of friends and family and a newborn. Tons of things to do in the cabin. Tons of relaxing scenery and just a short drive to pigeon forge made our time absolutely wonderful. The team at Unwind communicated everything clearly and without confusion!

First family vacation

This was the first time our 3 adult sons their wives and kids. Plus 2 great grandmas went on vacation together. For 18 people the house was roomy enough for us. The pool room was really hot!! So much we had to open the outside door. Other then that a few other problems were handled fair for a weekend. Nice house had a great time

Great vacation spot!

Clean, new, well equipped (although a tea kettle would have been nice!). Pool was so fun and the kids loved the fire table. Lots of stairs but there is one bedroomon the main level for guests with mobility issues. Good owners. Check out is early with lots of jobs, so plan that into your stay. We would definateky stay again!

Enjoyed our stay!

My group enjoyed our stay. Pros: very clean and spacious. I felt that the pictures and descriptions were very accurate. Comfortable beds, beautiful views. The neighborhood felt very safe. Lots for the kids to do in the house, zero complaints from them. Cons: the zero cancellation policy. No fault to the listing agency because they advertised it as such, but we actually needed to cancel the trip and couldn’t get out of it. There were only 3 towels in each bathroom, which for such big rooms seemed a little sparse. There weren’t any stemmed wine glasses or cork screw. All of these were minor things that didn’t ruin our trip, but they were worth mentioning. Oh also the fireplace didn’t work and when we contacted the company they said that it was out of commission until they could get it fixed (which wasn’t on our trip).

Had a Great Time!

The cabin was clean, well-appointed, spacious, and bright. The location and views were beautiful. Management was responsive to messages. Nothing could have gone better! This was the best Christmas ever, as I heard from multiple family members, and a significant part of that was our ability to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Great Cabin overall

The cabin is on par with many of the other cabins in the area. Plenty of room for 18 of us. Plenty of beds for everyone. The only complaint would be the main beds were all memory foam mattresses on a platform that we didn't like that much. May be a preference for us. We had a problem with the clothes dryer and I called the management team, they had someone come out later the same day to fix it. Other small things, no cable, only Roku and Samsung TV plus streaming, The pool was a bit on the small side but the kids with us didn't care, it would just have been better to have a bit more room. And one thing to remember is we went in the last week of December, so be very aware of the ice/snow conditions. The roads up to the cabin are steep and very curvy. We actually got stuck on the first drive up but luckily there were many of there and we used the salt from the cabin to get our van unstuck from the ice. Overall a good time was had by all in our family. I would recommend.

Thanksgiving Vacation

Great location and super clean . House is beautiful and the family really enjoyed the home. Only feedback that it was confusing that on the description it said 5 bedrooms when it really is 4 bedrooms and maybe more toiletries for a longer stay. Thank you for everything and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

A great house

We had a blast in Pigeon Forge. The house was beautiful. We had so much room. The kitchen is huge with seating for everyone. Management was quick to respond to our texts. It was a fun place to stay.

Great house, needs a few items

The house is gorgeous and very close to everything it is addressed to be. But we had a few issues and some things can be improved on: 1) it appears that in a effort to save $$ in between guests the AC is turned up to basically off. This was a huge problem for us! The outside temperature was close to 100, the attic room was over 80 degrees at check in. When we turned on the AC, condensation built up in the house and it was basically raining inside. We had pots, buckets, and towels lining the floor. Kitchen tables and one master bedroom were not useable for the first 24 hours until temperature imbalance had time to correct. Company said we should move the bed so people could sleep without getting wet. The beds are attached to the wall! Our 70 year old parents who can’t navigate stairs had to sleep on a wet futon. The third floor didn’t reach 74 degrees for almost 48 hours everyone up there was hot and uncomfortable! We went so far as the call the company because we thought maybe the AC was broken. They were responsive and sent someone. Tech said it’s working fine, but that’s what’s happens when the unit is off in between guests. The management Company said we’d get a discount, but they never honored that. 2) house has a roach problem. Bottom level, they were everywhere. We couldn’t keep anything on the floor. Someone from our group had them in the suitcase when they got home. 3) third level bedrooms are connected. You cannot walk to the third level master without walking through the bunk room. This would have been helpful to know. It’s possible I missed it in the description, but I do not recall this fact being disclosed. We had three very light sleepers in that bunk room. This was an issue for us all week. How do we get to the bedroom without waking these kids? 4) kitchen items need attention; there are certain things one expects a rental house to have. There was to toaster. No wine glasses. Pots are falling apart. The non stick coating is wearing off. We had many meals go into the trash because we cooked it, only to find parts of the pot lining had come off and food was covered with tiny black bits of the pots. Overall, the house is beautiful. The AC was a major issue I would not expect at a rental with this price point.

The view was amazing and the property looks just as great as shown in pictures! We had some issues with the grill but the property manager responded quickly and the problem was resolved within 2 hours. This was overall a great place to stay and I would book again.

Five Stars it's a must see!!

Upon checking into this property we were wowed by the cleanliness and amernities. If you are looking for a property for a larger group of people and multiple families of different generations this property is for you. Large enough for everyone in every way. It's a must see. Needed propane Amy the property manager sent it right away. The directions for check in and out are clear and concise making it easy to know what to do as a renter. It is located in a beautiful community which makes for a fun drive up the mountain. We will be back to Summit Pass.

Overall good stay

We really liked this cabin! By the 3rd day of our stay, the air conditioning quit working, but the property manager was quick to get someone to work on it and get it back up and running. I would like to recommend some additional lighting in the parking area. When it got hot in the cabin, we spent quite a bit of time outside. It was definitely hard to see anything after dark. Very minor!

Amazing space layout!

This house was rented for family members for my daughters wedding! We enjoyed the layout! Enormous space allowed room for privacy or comfortable group gathering. Very spacious!!

A beautiful property but could be better

I'm not one to complain so let's start by saying this home is GORGEOUS. The views are amazing. A short hike up the street about 1/2 mile is a gazebo for an even better view. The pool and hot tub are amazing (but need to turn up the temp upon arrival for the hot tub). The beds were comfortable. What I would offer as constructive criticism so the property managers might tweak their services: - check under cushions for trash in the couches (we found a condom - ugh) - provide more towels. The towels there are thin and low quality and one towel per person is barely enough unless we stop to do laundry during our short and busy weekend. Not what we planned with our time. - provide more blankets. This helps when it's a large group and we want to keep it cool for the cool sleepers and provide extra blankets for the warm sleepers - provide more toiletries like toilet paper and paper towels. For a short or long stay, it's a small "extra" that speaks to the 5-star rating on this property - add a teapot to the kitchen - none existed - replace the 4 cup measuring cup -- it has a crack and leaks - the pictures on VRBO of the deck have more sofas. That was a disappointment since we planned to do group meetings out there So you know, we asked for blankets, towels and paper products and the property manager said "no". We had to make an extra trip to the overcrowded grocery store to retrieve, using up some of our valuable vacation time. I wouldn't let these shortcomings change your mind about renting this beautiful home. If they don't improve these services, you just need to prepare for these things.
