We had a wonderful stay here, it was clean, cozy, and classy! We would definitely stay again. Hosts made our anniversary stay very special. Highly recommend this place.
I absolutely adore and love this cottage, it’s peaceful,Private and just all around amazing! It’s beautiful decorated, easily accessible, stocked with things you’d typically forget, amazing hosts. I can’t say enough amazing things about this beautiful cottage & amazing hosts!
My sister and i enjoyed our stay so much. It was the perfect size and it was so beautiful and private. What a hidden gem!!! This was our first trip to Camden and we were both really impressed with the city and our accommodations. I feel sure we will be back
If we found vrbos like this everywhere, we’d never stay in another hotel. Beautifully designed and decorated, everything you need, great location, plus some luxury hotel touches that make it feel so special!
We booked the room for a function in a neighboring town. This was very quaint and at the end of aside road. Historic district of Camden. The cottage was stocked nicely with necessities. The bed was very comfortable. The bath towels were so soft and fluffy. Everything was perfect for our stay.
It was an overall enjoyable stay. It was a bit like glamping though because the empty vents in all of the walls allowed all sounds to travel through the entire place. Also, it advertised 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds, but one bed was not accessible due to lack of room to extend the trundle. It was a very nice setup though and did just fine in a pinch. The host was very easy to commincate with and the place was extremely clean.
While small—have to go through main bedroom to only bathroom—this cottage has everything. From towels just for make up removal to spices and cooking supplies, you will feel pampered. It was still a little cold in March to spend much time outdoors, but the garden is beautiful. Thank goodness a video is sent with how to find it as it is tucked away behind a nice neighborhood. However, it’s very close to downtown and the revolutionary war site. My mom and I had a great stay.

Beautiful Property
The location is wonderful…quiet, near downtown. The home was very, very clean and charming. However, as two senior citizens, the 10-12” step down into the main bedroom was a big surprise to us. Since the only bathroom is also part of the main bedroom, stepping down and up several times is not always easy for the elderly. Since we didn’t know this, my husband actually fell when we first arrived, but, luckily, he fell onto the bed and was not hurt. I’m sorry, but that step down really should be disclosed upfront. Young people shouldn’t have a problem, but it’s difficult for older folks.
Another issue was the musty smell. Yes, it’s an older and a beautiful property, and it rained every day we were there, but the smell permeated everything. Even our clothing that remained in our bags smelled, so as soon as we got home, everything had to be washed. I awoke with a headache every morning. I truly hate saying anything negative about anyone’s property, but these two things do need to be addressed.
The home itself is so quaint and nicely done, and everything was sparkling clean. TV and Wi-Fi were great, and location is perfect.

I was offended by this guest’s false narrative about a musty odor. I would suggest their inability to navigate one step within the home and a headache has influenced their decision to malign a property we have worked extremely hard to develop into a first-class short-term rental. The step down to master bedroom is a normal step ; nothing unusual . The guest assumed that the property was old, but the Garden Cottage is nearly new construction, having been completed in 2019. The main carriage house on the property was built in 1895. We have a 4.98 rating on another short term rental site for 91 reviews and a 4.7 on VRBO. Something of the magnitude the guest is suggesting is illogical and false when considering the extensive attention the property receives before each stay. If there was an odor, the guest introduced it themselves on their arrival because it did not exist before or after they departed.
I do appreciate the comments about the location , cleanliness , and WiFi .
