We had a great stay at Williams. We met William upon our arrival and he was welcoming and gave us great ideas for our stay. It was clean and well stocked to start our stay!! Great place to stay and convenient to get to to all the sites.
William was terrific! He’s a very accommodating host! The house is beautiful and very comfortable. Easy access to Cork and Cobh. The Boson Restaurant down the street from the house is a great please for lunch and dinner, the staff are very friendly and the food delicious.
The house was absolutely stunning! The hosts were great, they greeted us on arrival and had even put a fire on in the stove! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The air hockey table upstairs in particular was a great hit with the kids.
William was a wonderful host. We arrived early and he accommodated us with no problems. One of the most impressive things about our host was how friendly and interested he was in us having a wonderful visit to Ireland. He supplied us with milk, bread, eggs, butter, coffee, and fruit. His rationale; “I know the last thing you want to have to do is shop for food for breakfast when you arrive. William was an exemplary host. Our experience wouldn’t have been as good without him.
The house has been beautifully restored and is so spacious. William (the host) was easy to work with and provided great recommendations. The location is close to many places and it was a quiet neighborhood.
Beautiful period house. Just charming. be prepared for stairs over 4 levels. William was thoughtful and informative host. Only drawback (if there was one) was not much in walking distance-1 restaurant which had good food. Many things to do in nearby area. Recommend Fota Nature park , just exceptional "zoo"
Cannot fault it. The owner was very friendly and supplied everything you need to start your holiday.
Beautiful house, lovely location.
Highly recommend this property.
We give it 10 out of 10.
This was the perfect spot for us to explore Cork and the surroundings. We most enjoyed coffee/tea in the morning in the private yard overlooking the bay. Spectacular views and charming home and genuine antique furnishings took us back in time. William was most helpful meeting us to walk through the house. Easy checkin and checkout. Wonderful stay.
This property is a beautifully restored home. It had everything we wanted and needed. The location was perfect. The home faced the waterfront and was a short walk to the local restaurant and pub. William was friendly, informative and made sure we had everything we needed.
We loved our time visiting Monkstown and surrounding area.
My family stayed here for one leg of our recent family vacation to Ireland. We were looking for something in County Cork outside of Cork City. This fit the bill perfectly. We enjoyed the views from the front of the house, the character of the historic home, and the easy access to many local sights. The owners were incredibly helpful with recommendations for things to do while in the area, gave a very helpful and very responsive. If ever in the area again, I would book again. Highly recommend!
We loved this older home with so much character . It had everything we needed and the welcome items were much appreciated. We enjoyed having it as a base for travels in the area. Good pubs within walking distance. Loved watching the ships come and go .
Excellent communication from William. Huge period house with high ceilings and so much space. Some lovely touches from William with lots of kitchen essentials waiting for us. We even had homemade orange cake to welcome us.
