Located in the quiet seaside village of Charlo's Cove, you will find that this century Acadian home has all that you need for an enjoyable stay. Only a hop, skip and a jump from the Atlantic Ocean, let the sound of the waves hitting the shore lull you to sleep at night … and the occasional fog horn, but that can be charming in it’s own way. “The Island” can be accessed at low tide, there is clam digging (take note of any seasonal restrictions), rocky and sandy beaches nearby, and a children’s playground in the community.
Several items are provided, to get you started, and the property includes a washer/dryer/clothes line and dishwasher. Nothing beats fresh sheets off the line! Each bedroom has a new double bed, covered with cozy duvets. (One bedroom downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs).

This was such a relaxing stay. The ocean, gorgeous beaches in close proximity, we saw seals, we looked at stars, the kids got off their tech for a while and enjoyed nature.
The cottage itself has everything you need to make the stay great and the location is beautiful.

The area is very quiet. Good place to relax. The building is pretty old and cosy but smells like humidity. No phone signal and if no power, there was a power outage on second day, no way of outside communication because no power means no internet meaning no Wifi calling.
After arriving late in the night, we found our cottage all ready to receive us. Upon waking the next morning, we were struck by the wondrous beauty of the Nova Scotian landscape. We also experienced the remarkable Acadian warmth in neighbors and strangers who helped our vacation be a lifelong memory. We will be back!
We enjoyed our stay in Charlo's Cove. The house is directly on a beautiful beach. Be aware the cell coverage is very limited so much so we were unable to make a phone call from the house. Not a big deal unless you need to! The advice in the ad, that you pick up your groceries ahead of time, is good as it's a long way to a store!
It was the absolutely wonderful week!
We were not lucky enough for the weather, it was cloudy and rainy. But we enjoyed our stay for 100%.
The place is equipped with everything needed. The house is old , but it's very clean and very well maintained.
The most important thing is the nature around. You don't hear any people noise, no cars, no radio or loud music. All you can hear sitting on the deck and looking at the ocean is nature, the birds, the ocean, the seals, the trees. It's so calm and peaceful!
Walking trails are beautiful, especially the Forest island.
The people we met are so friendly. We had a great fishing experience just on the wharf. You an easy get yourself a very good mackerel for a dinner. And thanks to Lori's friend, we've got the unforgettable fishing on the boat, catching mackerel and pollock, and we have seen the seals on the rocks!
Now we have these great memories that will stay with us for life.
Thank you Lori!
Ouf quelle vue !
This seaside cottage was a great location for my dog and I to do some hiking and exploring. A very quiet community with friendly folks. A bit out of the way for those who might want services and shopping close by, but suited me perfectly. Lots of shoreline and walking trails just outside the door. Would stay again.
My daughter and I stayed here and we were constantly amazed by the views, the quietness, the clarity of the stars at night, the sealife we could see from the cottage and most importantly how beautiful the location is and how friendly the people were. We will be back and next time we might not leave.
The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, the grill lit on the first go, the beds were deliciously comfortable and the water was hot as heck with great water pressue. All in all, a dream.
The cottage did have wifi and it was good enough to check the occasional email, attend a video call or two and watch an episode of Ted Lasso.
If you are looking for a quiet, quaint and friendly little village, this is your place!!! The scenery couldn't be more beautiful being a hop skip and a jump from the ocean! This is the perfect little cottage to give you a relaxing reset to life!! We have stayed here the past few years and we cannot wait to go back each consecutive year to come! Charlos cove is nothing short from amazing!!! Not to mention cleanliness of the cottage, easy check in and out, as well as the friendliness of the owner, no matter how many questions you have!!! We absolutely will be back!!!💕
