Bring the whole family and get your toes in the sand! This is a charming 1950's oceanfront beach house with 8 bedrooms and 4 bathroom, private board walk to the beach, updated kitchen, rocking chair porch and the most beautiful sunsets over the Atlantic ocean. This is 2 story home with 4 bedrooms on each floor. In the lower level there is a ping pong table for a little family competition. On the 2nd level you will enjoy a new kitchen with quartz counter tops, an open living area with ocean views and an additional 4 bedrooms.

Private boardwalk goes 3/4 of the way to the beach, the last 1/4 is a sandy path to beach. Please do not park directly on either side of the building (septic tanks) or on Palm Blvd; IOP police will ticket - please park behind the half brick wall.

This home has complimentary Cable TV and wireless high-speed internet. All bed linens, towels and starter kit/ toiletries are included. 1 towel set per person is provided. Beach towels and beach chairs are not provided but are available through local Beach Chair and Umbrella Rentals. **** Starter kits/toiletries include small dish soap, small dishwasher detergent, 1-2 kitchen trash bags, 1 roll of paper towels, TP in each bathroom, starter size shampoo, conditioner, lotion, cleansing bar. Keurig Coffee Maker provided.

The location and set up of the home was perfect for our family gathering, opportunity exists on cleaning the mold off the hardwood floors and the exterior of the home needed some general maintenance and repairs.

Run from this property and especially the owner Island Realty. The ground floor smells musty and moldy. This property is very old and dated compared to the neighborhood. Everything is dated and beaten up. After our stay they tried charging for replacement of a screen door when literally everything needs to be replaced. Find another renter and property.

Kitchen was outdated but adequate. Dishes and silverware were comprised from several sets. The BBQ is old/corroded and should be tossed. We had a tough time grilling on it as it was old and full of grease from other guests. Grilling is a key part of beach fun. Buy a new grill and maintain it for the next group.

When we walked into the living room upstairs, there was a giant cockroach on the floor. The house was extremely moldy. Everyone in my family had difficulty with allergies due to the mold. The house is definitely in need of some TLC. Everything is very worn, the furniture was stained and dirty, the house was covered in mold and the beds were very uncomfortable. The stairs to the upstairs are all different heights so it posed great difficulty for my elderly mother to navigate.

The kitchen and dining areas were large enough to accommodate cooking and eating in. But the best area was the porch facing the sand dunes and water! Coffee time, reading, games and happy hours were spent on this large comfortable porch!

Perfect! Will rent again for next graduation for my large family

It is an older home as described and the bottom floor had odor of an old home that had been shut up and not used frequently during the winter. A sunny week for a great stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Major problem with internet and TV all week until Marks finally figured out the problem and fixed it. Palm Blvd houses are so far from the beach hard for someone in later years to walk the distance plus going over sand dunes. Ocean Blvd is much better but hard to find a house that fits our needs and $$$

Perfect Family Rental

Reviewer Comments: Being a local and having rented beach houses my whole life, we found the perfect house for our family to enjoy our son's wedding on the Isle of Palms. This house is well equipped for cooking, with lots of pots, pans, glasses, serving dishes, etc. The open floor plan on both floors was perfect. The porches were big and gave a beautiful view of the beach. It was more than enough room for the 14 that stayed there, with extra room for a few last minute sleepover guests.

Family Time

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family enjoys IOP several times per year. We have stayed in multiple homes and picked an ocean front this year even though it was an older home. This home needs some attention. Upstairs AC could not keep up so maintenance had to bring a portable AC. Outside of house and porches were nasty dirty. We loved the layout and ping pong table. If bathrooms were updated and porches cleaned, we would come back.

We hope that the pictures on our site portray a true expectation of the home. We apologize for the upper floor AC issues, all was functioning as it should but was struggling on that particular day to keep up.

Loved that fact!! Very spacious and suited our needs completely. Would highly recommend. We did have trouble with the keyless entry keypad. Battery went dead and rental office never fixed it so we couldn't lock the door. Housekeeping shorted us hand towels but we managed. Overall, wonderful place.

Extended Family Vacation

The house and grounds are beautifully decorated, and we add everything we needed for small or large dinner gatherings. The dunes and beach are splendid, and we were able to enjoy nice restaurants on Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island, and tour Charleston as well. Wild Dunes golf courses and Charleston National are great close by golf courses. Wednesday nights at Awendah Green is great live music and food (cash only). We would not hesitate to rent this house again. If anything, it is a bit nicer than the listing portrays it. Our group ranged in age from 27 to 72, and everyone loved it!

Family beach trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice location on beach. House was clearly older than surrounding homes, but fit our family needs quite well. We had rented this location about 10 years ago, and it seems updated. There were several broken chairs, but we could work around. Check in/out process was easy. The lower floor at ground level had a bit of a musty odor, but not terrible. The dining space was adequate for our large family. The furniture and fixtures could use some improvement. The beach location, bedroom configuration was just about right for us though. We had a good time.
