Greenwich Tyme House is the perfect place for relaxation, renewal and fun with family and friends and located on the beautiful St. Peter's Bay in one of the loveliest areas of Prince Edward Island.

In a tranquil location, this home is minutes from the spectacular white sand beaches, dunes and warm waters of the Greenwich Dunes National Park on the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

The house has three bedrooms, three baths, two of which are en-suite with a beautiful view of the Bay from the Jacuzzi and slipper tubs.

The main floor and bath are fully accessible. The well appointed kitchen has been created with great attention to detail and perfect for gourmet meals with local mussels and lobster. The main floor is open space and a great location for entertaining with room to spread out unto the wrap around deck.

For in rainy day entertainment there is satellite television, lots of games for all ages and books, both classic and current. The upper and lower decks offer the opportunity to simply sit, relax and enjoy the beauty.

Minutes away from the Greenwich National Park, this home is the perfect location for quiet tranquility with access to hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, swimming, kayaking, restaurants, Ceilidhs (Celtic dancing) and live theatre.

This is the seventh time we have stayed at Tyme House. I can think of no stronger endorsement of this wonderful house and the care taken by its owner. I will not repeat my previous reviews, except to say that Tyme House has my highest recommendation for anyone seeking a relaxing, stress-free visit to the most beautiful part of PEI. Be sure to enjoy the wonderful beaches and the delightful seafood.

Anne quickly answered any of our questions and it was so convenient for all the adventures for the children - lighthouse climbs, beaches and sea glass treasure hunting! We were 3 adults and 3 children under 8 - Anne provided a cot which was perfect for the 6yr old to feel special and Gigi got her own room near the main floor bathroom! Supplies and attention to detail was much appreciated- thank you!

Anne was very accommodating and willing to assist us. She even kindly made up a cot for my toddler which worked out really well for us and he loved having his own little bed. The cottage is well appointed and the location can't be beat. The proximity to Greenwich beach meant we could spend almost every evening at the beach and get home within minutes to shower off the kids and put them to bed quickly. The Golden Dory fish and chips are delicious and minutes away, and the village just down the road with bike rental and ice cream (and gas) was very convenient as well. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of living and dining room seating. The linens were clean and plentiful. The screened in porch was fantastic to take in the beauty of nature. The walk in shower/bathroom and main floor bedroom is great for people with mobility issues. It was a great stay for our family of 7. Would stay again!

Great location with an amazing view. Well appointed kitchen and BBQ, and lovely screened in porch and outdoor deck. Minutes from Greenwich National Park and we highly recommend the “Golden Dory” food truck/restaurant 700m up the road.

Fantastic bay and dunes holiday

Tyme House offers families and couples a beautiful and expansive retreat away from it all. It is a big two-story house with a screened in porch overlooking Saint-Peter's Bay; which is just a short drive to Greenwich National Park. It is equipped with modern appliances and all the amenities you could wish for. We hope to bring our grand children one day.

Bachelorette spa weekend

This property was amazing, from the screened porch, to the comfort throughout, had absolutely everything tou need and then some! We had 7 ladies get together for a spa day and two minutes down the road was out cottage, absolutely beautiful spot, highly recommend!

Close to Greenwich National Park for walking trails and beaches. We enjoyed the screened porch with table and chairs for our evening dinner and watching the beautiful sunsets. There was a jumbled array of amenities in the kitchen but we managed to find everything we needed. Overall a good place for family vacations.

Check in was smooth and contact with host was good. Really enjoyed the screen porch for the evenings. AC was not working and bedrooms in upstairs became quite warm. All in all a very good stay

We had a fantastic stay. Returning to PEI to rent a cottage for a week was a dream trip we have considered for so long and I am so glad we chose this place. It is in a very peaceful area, away from it all. The cottage has everything you need for a great stay. Out host, Anne, was very responsive to messages and questions. We had cosy beds, a wonderful kitchen, and we had the most spectacular view. The main floor was very accessible. We hope to return one day!

Fabulous stay in great house

The house was perfect, comfortable, well appointed! Kitchen was a dream, all bedrooms very comfortable but master on second floor had magnificent view. It had everything we needed and more. Owner responded quickly to questions we had. Great location near spectacular beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back. Highly recommend!

A great location!

This was a very spacious house in the perfect location. We had a great time. We were 7 guests in total (4 adults and 3 kids), but there were only 6 beds. There was no extra pull out couch, so it was a tight fit. We happened to visit during a heat wave, so it was very hot without A/C.Overall, a lovely time was had!

This is the fifth year we have spent our summer vacation at Tyme House. Our repeat visits should make clear how much we have enjoyed staying there. I will simply say that this is a comfortable, well-equipped house, with a beautiful view of St. Peter's Bay, and perfectly located to explore the most beautiful part of Prince Edward Island. The house has recently received a bit of a refresh, with a greatly improved internet, making it an even better place to stay. I highly recommend it. It is truly a five star property.

Our stay could not have been better. We were only two people in the three bedroom house, but the price was right and the location was perfect. The kitchen has everything you might need, including spices, oil and flour. We used the washer and dryer as well. It was so quiet in the evening - we had bunnies, a fox and tons of birds in the yard. There were two different apple trees in the yard.

PEI vacation 2024

Property very well positioned, near superbe Greenwich beach, you can leave home straight on bike trail easy access from everywhere. House well equipped with full kitchen. The house has great view on bay and PEI sceneries, spent every supper in screened porch. Only down side was no tv’s working, but we used our tablets. Overall very relaxing and equipped property that answered to our needs, a real PEI experience and we should know as wehave been going for 14 years to PEI.

A wonderful stay in spite of the heat

A lovely home with a gorgeous view just minutes from the Greenwich section of the park (our favorite!). I’m 78 and can still do the dunes trail, but it took more out of me than 5 years ago! The house is well equipped with high quality appliances and everything else one would need. Great to have a washer and dryer. Loved reading and eating on the screened porch. The host was great responding to our questions quickly. Our only negative was not having air conditioning. Who knew there would be a heat dome over PEI during our stay! We’ve never needed a/c in St Peters the 6 times we’ve stayed in the area in the past. The house had ceiling fans in the bedrooms, good cross ventilation and standing fans that kept us comfortable when we were in front of them, but the heat was oppressive - not the host’s fault! If we return to the area, we would hope to stay here again.

Greenwich Tyme House is owned by Anne Shirley Sutherland and husband, Lawrence Lacey. The farm next door has been there for over 200 years and is Anne Shirley’s childhood home.

Why they chose this property

We built this vacation home next to our century old farmhouse home. We have always believed that this is one of the most beautiful places on Prince Edward Island and we loved the Greenwich Dunes long before they were discovered by the public.

What makes this property unique

As the non-resident partner (& sister), I mostly love the view from the cottage. One never tires of the beauty of the Bay, the mussel farming activities that can be viewed from the balconies. We love food and the kitchen is perfect for chefs. Another very favourite feature are the bath tubs in which one can sit and enjoy an unimpeded view of the Bay. Of course we love the close proximity to the great beaches. This is a great location any time of the year. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
