The location for us was perfect because our daughter lives 5 minutes away. It is a 10 to 15 minute walk to Bellecour, near the shopping area downtown. So not a bad location just know that you are on the cusp of a rough neighborhood. Plenty of pastry shops, small grocery stores and pubs and minutes either direction to the subway system.The apartment was as listed and in the light of day was a great space. With the windows open there is nice airflow. Needs a little upgrade in decor and coziness. The kitchen has what you need and the appliances work well. Somethings are a little haphazard. The silverware and dishes. But it works.Our biggest comment to the host was the strong smell of cigarette smoke. We figure it comes up through the vent from somewhere below. It was noticeable and not comfortable for us.

Petite précision sur l’odeur évoquée : l’appartement est au dernier étage, avec ascenseur, d’un immeuble ancien aux beaux volumes, sans restaurant en dessous. Il ne s’agit pas d’une odeur habituelle du logement. Ce serait un plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveau dans cet appartement ou un autre appartement Flat Fish à Lyon. A quick note about the smell you mentioned: the apartment is on the top floor, with a lift, of a lovely period building with high ceilings, and there is no restaurant below.
