Much love, respect, and work has gone into creating `A Shore Thing` to be appreciated by family gatherings and groups wanting to bond and enjoy Lake Hamilton for its beauty, adventure and peacefulness in a clean, well cared for home. Outdoor security cameras with views of the entrances and exits have been installed. They are only monitored if neighbors inform us of excessive noise (past quiet hours) or parties occurring. We value and respect the privacy of our guests.

The entire property, front and back yards are yours to enjoy. We are on a level lot with plenty of room for lawn games and easy access to the water.



This is a small neighborhood. The majority of residents live here year round. Please be respectful of their right to quiet enjoyment while using this vacation home.



I am just a phone call or text away if you have any questions. We have a handyman on call if you need something we can not resolve over the phone or text.



We are located just off the main channel on the north side of Lake Hamilton. This makes for excellent skiing, wake boarding, or tubing. We are also just a short boat ride from the famous Sam`s Pizza, Bubba`s Brews, Fisherman`s Warf and the Back Porch Grill on the lake. Our cove is home to many turtles and fish, so bring your rod and reel and get ready to haul in the catch of the day.

The lake, dock, paddle board, and kayaks are for your use. Use them and swim at your own risk. We are not responsible for any injuries that may occur while using these items.



This house is on Lake Hamilton. Entergy drains Lake Hamilton every year for shoreline maintenance and general Lake Health. That means that from mid-November to mid-March there is no water under the dock.

This was the perfect location for my annual retreat with my basketball team. We enjoyed it-- it was spacious, clean, and we enjoyed all the amenities from the movie theater, pool table, card table, and of course the kayaking.

We had a wonderful time at the house. Great location. The parking was tricky with the amount of people we had there. I did end up buying a set of washcloths because there wasn’t enough the everyone to shower. I did leave those for future guests. I would stay here again.

3 generation vacation

House was set up perfect for everyone to have their own space. Kids loved their own bunk room and the adults their own room with a king bed. We had one 16 year old that had his own room with a queen bed. We had 5 little ones that fished off the dock with hotdogs and caught little perch all afternoon. Game room, pool table, bar area was all great.

We got the whole family together for my moms75th birthday. This was the perfect place to have it!! Everyone had a bathroom and bedroom. Girlfriend and kid’s trip

My girlfriends and I stayed here for a weekend with our kids . The kids absolutely LOVED the house . Especially the pool table and the theater room . Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy and also retreat to their own room when they wanted . The owners were exceptionally quick responding to messages, and the check in/ out process was effortless. Great spot for a good time on the water

This property was perfect for our group! With kids of all ages, being off the main part of the lake was great. They were able to kayak and paddle board without being around lots of other boats and jet skis. We also managed to make time for a movie in the movie room and play some of the games that were available in the house (pool table and board games). We had a fantastic time and would definitely stay here again if we come back the hot springs.

Fantastic Family Vacation!

Thank you for a great place for our family to stay while we enjoyed the lake. Your home is lovely and provided all that we needed for a relaxing and memorable time. We used the paddle board and canoes when we weren’t on our own boat, so we appreciate the generosity. Everyone LOVED the media room!! Many games of pool were played while others were reading a book on the deck or cooking in the kitchen.

Family Vacation

Property locations was great. We loved the theater room, and had a family movie each night. The pool table and card table were both used tremendously during our stay. Our young adults loved the kayaks and paddle board and we we appreciative of those being included in the rental. We had plenty of room to spread out and have our space during the stay. This was a really great property for all ages, we had grandparents, parents, 20 somethings, and teens!

Very Disappointing

2 of the main bathrooms were out of service during our stay with raw sewage backing up . Host took hours to respond and it was only repaired on our last day. Porch doors weren’t functional, drier vents hot air into media room making it impossible to enjoy, master hot water faucet wouldn’t shut off…….too much more to list. This was our family vacation for all of our grown kids, grandkids and elderly parents. It’s hard enough to get family together when we all live in different states, then to have our gatherings ruined by a horrible stay. We come to Hot Springs every Summer, but I’ll never stay here again nor recommend it!

Great Home!!!

We LOVED this house so much! The view of the lake and all of the outside seating made for such a peaceful week. The theater room was a hit for the whole group. Definitely plenty of space for everyone and the bathrooms especially were really nice. It was fun to also use the paddle board and kayaks, as well as fish off the dock. Laura was always very fast to respond to any questions I had. A couple things of note for your stay. They did not have a griddle which would have been nice especially for cooking for multiple families. So bring your own if you’d like. Also the top floor was noticeably hotter than the main level. My kids were up there and often complained about how hot it was. To cool down the top floor I had to turn the AC down but then it made it pretty chilly on the main floor. Next time I’d bring a box fan for the top floor or just more blankets for those on the main floor.

Girls Trip

WOWWWWW!!! This place was so clean and so spacious!! The movie theater was an amazing feature on one of our rainy days! I would HIGHLY recommend this house to anyone visiting Hot Springs!! The drive to the downtown area was short! Hoping to stay here again one day during summer months to enjoy some boating!! If you are thinking of renting.... DO IT!!!!

A great stay for family and friends

The house was clean with plenty of room and amenities for everyone. Check in process was easy. Communication with the property manager could have been better as I haven’t received reply for a couple of emails that I have sent. However that didn’t negatively impact our stay at all. We will definitely go back.

My name is Laura Cabrera. My partner, Kate Turpin and I are your hosts here at A Shore Thing. We both live and work in Little Rock, where we enjoy hiking, biking, lake-ing Cross Fitting, hanging out with friends, and coaching rugby. Kate coaches the Little Rock Women’s Club-side Rugby Team and Laura coaches the Little Rock Men’s Club-side Rugby Team. If we are not in Little Rock, we are, we coaching rugby at a tournament in a nearby state.

A Shore Thing is located in a cove off the main channel of Lake Hamilton. That is a mouthful. However, staying here means you get the best of both worlds. You have smoother waters to enjoy things like paddle boarding, kayaking, and fishing. You also get to enjoy all the great attractions that the main channel has to offer such as Water skiing, jet skiing, tubing and all the great lakeside restaurants.

Why they chose this property

Kate and I are both sun lovers. We enjoy being outside and if water is involved, even better. We have always wanted a place within driving distance to relax and unwind, but not too far from entertainment, shops, and nightlife. Hot Springs offers everything. When this house came up, we jumped at the chance to own on the lake. We love Hot Springs for the race track, the casino, historic downtown, Bathhouse Row, and the great restaurants. Oh, and or course, The Lake. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

Start each morning with a tasty cup of coffee from the coffee bar complete with a Keurig and a regular coffee pot. Enjoy a meal outdoors in the airy screened in patio. Watch a movie in your own private home theater with reclining stadium seats. We are just 15 minutes from Oaklawn and Magic Springs, so pack up the entire family and come make some great memories.

With enough room for 4 vehicles and a boat trailer in the driveway, you can bring your boat and enjoy all the lake has to offer in this magnificent vacation home. YES, you CAN dock your boat at our dock. We have cleats and buoys across the length of the dock.
