About the host

Hosted by Diane Spence

Host profile image
Son, Brother, Uncle and Father who was blessed by these mountains and the family that lives nearby. No matter how far I go in life, I come back here to keep myself and my family humble and grounded. I learned much about the important things in life here. Hard work, determination and humility to name a few.

Why they chose this property

Although this lot was formerly owned by my Uncle for 15 years prior, I bought it from him due to the sentimental value of the A frame that sits on it. You see, it was the last project that my father and his brother worked on before he was tragically killed in a motorcycle in 2009. They put a lot of sweat equity into organizing and building the A frame that future generations of family could enjoy a little escape out into the woods.
In 2021, I had it completely renovated to include power (all solar), water/plumbing, A/C, modern kitchen, bathrooms, laundry and a walk out deck coming off the loft. My Father would have been proud that we kept the A frame going, but now opened it up for others to enjoy and get-away.
