Mountain Home on Blue Ridge Parkway
MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YRS OF AGE TO BOOK!
Welcome to Serendipity!
Serendipity is a spectacular upscale mountain home a half-mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway, less than 5 miles to downtown Blowing Rock, 6 miles to Appalachian Ski Mountain, and 7 miles to Boone.
Shopping, Restaurants, Horseback Riding, Gem Mining, Sightseeing, Snow Skiing, Snowboarding, Ice Skating, Snow Tubing, Sledding, and other family-friendly activities are all within minutes of this conveniently-located vacation home. Hiking, walking, and riding trails abound, some within a mile or two of Serendipity, including the well-known Mountains to Sea Trail. Numerous lakes and rivers are nearby as well. Enjoy a serene setting in an established mountain community that is central and convenient to Blowing Rock, Boone, and all the High Country offers.
The approach to Serendipity is all paved roads, and a paved driveway leads you to the house. For those with electric vehicles, take advantage of one of the very few area homes with an EV charger. The charger is a level 2 Charger with a J1772 charging handle. It will charge at about 23 Amps. A Tesla will need an adapter, but all other EVs do not.
Entry through the lower level exterior door closest to the parking area makes initial access convenient. There are exterior doors on the main level into the Dining area and the Great Room. The main level features a huge Great Room, anchored by a stacked-stone gas log fireplace and seating area that stretches out and around, offering numerous entertaining areas. It is a unique, expansive Great Room with fantastic views.
A galley-style Kitchen is equipped to prepare and serve meals for a packed house. Across from the Kitchen is a convenient coffee bar with a small fridge and more counter space for buffet-style meals or setting up a beverage station. The banquet-style dining table in the dining area can seat up to ten guests, plus a four-seat table in the great room for overflow dining. Outside the Dining Room is an outdoor deck with a gas grill and an outdoor dining table for six. Ample outdoor seating on the numerous decks can accommodate more outdoor dining as needed. Also accessible from the main level is the big hot tub, from which guests can enjoy sunny days, starry nights, and priceless mountain views.
The main level boasts two suites with King beds, HDTVs, and full, ensuite bathrooms. These two suites have private covered decks with outdoor seating and views.
Upstairs is the Master Suite with a King bed, amazing views, a private rooftop Juliette deck with comfy lounging furniture, an ensuite master bathroom, and HDTV. In addition, there is a generous loft with comfortable furniture, a Twin day bed, and a Twin trundle bed.
The lower level features a fun game room with a shuffleboard table and a tabletop MultiCade with dozens of fun arcade games. There is a large wall-mounted HD Smart TV in the game room for watching ball games or connecting gaming consoles. The lower level also offers the fourth bedroom suite with a King bed, an ensuite bathroom, an HDTV, and a generous furnished private view deck. A laundry room with a washer and dryer is also on the lower level.
Serendipity offers complete climate control, heating, and air conditioning throughout, plus high-speed WiFi internet. The quality and care with which the owners of Serendipity have furnished and outfitted this special mountain getaway are unparalleled. This has been their family vacation home for decades. We are excited to partner with them to share it with visiting families for the first time in its existence! Come enjoy a memorable family vacation at Serendipity and begin what will surely be a tradition of many more visits and a lifetime of memories!

Great location between Blowing Rock and Boone. Mountain view fantastic. House perfect for two families of 4, with plenty of entertainment for 4 teenagers. Would stay there again.
The cabin was perfect for our family getaway! We loved the beautiful views, and it was easy to drive into Boone or Blowing Rock to eat and shop! The house had everything we needed! We would definitely stay here again!
Perfect place for our family CHRISTmas get away. Million dollar view of The Grandfather and the whole Blue Ridge Mountains. Spectacular sunset view from this house. Everyone thought Serendipty was awesome. Great beds and en suite bathrooms for privacy. We hope to reserve again!
The home was very comfortable and spacious. Some of the best views we have had when visiting the area and great location. We would certainly come back.
The view was spectacular! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday in the cabin. Plenty of room for the family and felt like visiting your families cabin. You can tell so many memories were made at this place. Enjoyed the big table with the family and snugging with the grandchildren as they woke up. Very close to Blowing Rock and all the stores in Boone. Loved it!
Serendipity is an outstanding rental cabin! The view is amazing and location is ideal. We were able to visit many of the beautiful Boone & Blowing Rock attractions within minutes of the cabin. The layout of this vacation home is one of the best I’ve ever seen. It is very roomy, yet also has many cozy areas within the home to relax with family and friends. The cabin was extremely clean and provides numerous amenities. I would highly recommend Serendipity to anyone seeking a very special place to vacation in the NC mountains.
Great place for a family vacation with plenty of room for inside and outside activities.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share regarding your stay. Your trust and your business are incredibly important to us. Its our sincerest hope that a revisit will happen, sooner rather than later.
We came as a fivesome, 3 folks were in their 70s, 2 in their 40s. The stairs into the unit were challenging for the older folks but once inside, we all loved it! Great views! Can’t say enough about the surroundings! And the kitchen was amazing, so well stocked for all of the meals that we made throughout our stay!
Wonderful multilevel house, incredible views from every single room giving each couple/family privacy. Decks from every bedroom. Would love to stay here again.

We loved this house! The view and house are amazing! There are bathrooms connected to each bedroom making it super comfortable for multiple families or couples to have privacy. The game room was fun for the adults and kids, and there were lots of games/puzzles at the house. The location was great to quickly get to the Appalachian ski resort and downtown Blowing Rock. The hosts were really responsive and kind. We did not want to leave, and we hope to come back next year!
Great house; fantastic views; staff was very helpful.
Only comment is the stairs to climb to the house. Obviously necessary for the the location and the views, but a bit of the struggle for older (80+) friends
We had a wonderful stay at Serendipity over the New Years holiday! We enjoyed all fun amenities that were included. Shuttle board tournaments are our new favorite for adults and kids! The hot tub was such a fun place to hang outside of the house! All areas of the house were spacious and the decks were like endless mazes! The views were amazing and the owner even left up the Christmas tree for us!!

Thank you so much for sharing! Our greatest reward is hearing from our guest that they had a great time and enjoyed the home. Take care and we hope you will revisit again soon.
Great house! Plenty of room for 4 couples. Would recommend a brief manual for how to operate TV, troubleshoot Internet, and check out procedures. Kitchen faucet is difficult to turn off.

Thank you so much for choosing and staying in our home. We are thrilled that you appeared to have enjoyed your stay and that the home met your vacation needs. We look forward to welcoming you back again to our home. Safe travels!
We were very pleased with the house and its spaciousness, although the kitchen was a little small for a house that size. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and comfortable.
We arrived on a warm day and didn’t realize until the next morning that the heat was not working. The response was good and the furnace was repaired before the end of the day.
The view and sunsets are spectacular with huge windows to enjoy,
