A troad box that was found on almost every farm at the time was used to store valuable products such as grain and was thus the treasury at the farm. Many of them were then rebuilt and restored, our idea was to build a so-called troad box made of natural spruce and larch from our own forest from Grimming.
It should be a quaint, romantic and particularly cozy accommodation for our guests. Whether in front of the fireplace, in the cozy tree trunk bed, on the panoramic balcony or on the all-day sunny terrace, there is something for every guest.

The house has a living space of approx. 50m² plus. Balcony and terrace.
It consists of a living room with a fireplace, a small kitchen, a solid wood corner bench and satellite TV. Bathroom with shower / toilet. Cloakroom. The house is equipped with an electric heater and underfloor heating in the bathroom. On the upper floor there is a bedroom with a natural beam bed in which you can relax in deep sleep through the fresh smell of wood. A comfortable sofa and a panoramic balcony with a view of the Dachstein-Tauern region.

Optimal starting point for the ski mountains of the Dachstein Tauern region, the Sölktäler nature park, the Salzkammergut lake region, the Grimming thermal baths and much more.

Winter vacation:
Within a radius of 20 km you will soon reach 9 ski mountains with endless kilometers of slopes.
The Stoderzinken, the Galsterbergalm, Planneralm, Riesneralm and the Tauplitzalm are ideal for families.

The Hauser Kaibling, the Planai, Hochwurzen and the Reiteralm are suitable for professionals with action and apres ski.
In 2013 the Alpine Ski World Cup took place in Schladming.

Cross-country skiing is possible depending on the snow conditions in St. Martin, otherwise in the cross-country paradises Ramsau and Bad Mitterndorf. Both places are about 20 km from St. Martin removed.

You can also go snowshoeing on the Grimming,
Ice skating on Lake Putter, sledding, touring and much more.

summer vacation:
We would be happy to advise you on hikes in the Sölktäler nature park, as well as in the Dachstein Tauern region with many rustic alpine huts and regional delicacies.
Sunrise hikes or sunrise breakfast on the Dachstein and
smaller hikes in the immediate vicinity.
A bike tour around the Grimming (45km) or a walk to the Salza waterfall will surely not be forgotten.
A fixed point of our dear guests is always the Stoderzinken, summer and winter with Kaiserschmarren and ski water:)

Cuddling-relax-relax:
If you need rest and want to escape the everyday stress and noise in the city, then you are in St. Martin am Grimming in the right place. Only the church bells interrupt the silence of the place for a short time and announce the morning. You can then sleep on and relax and enjoy your vacation.

We recommend that you spend mild summer evenings on your own terrace by candlelight and a glass of wine.
Or let yourself be pampered with local delicacies in the Dorfgasthof Mayer, which is a few meters from your holiday home.
