Terrapin Amore'

Very spacious, 2 bedroom condo with a beautiful pool. Next to golf course & 1 mile to the beach & village on the paved bike trail, 2 miles by car. Enjoy a shaded bike ride/walk to the village/beach under massive oaks on the bike trails. Relax, sitting or dining on the back deck with a view of the lagoon. This condo is newly remodeled with parking in front & an outdoor shower. This is smoke free unit and pets are not allowed. This condo is the most centrally located place you can stay!
Both bedrooms have oversized king beds. Both bedrooms are on the second level. A twin memory foam roll away bed, twin floor mattress and a queen blow up mattress are available on request. This condo is newly remodeled with leather furniture, new appliances and new front & back decks. Also provided is a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, large flat screen TV's in every room, DVD player, CD player, WiFi, outdoor gas grill, all bedding, linens and towels. There are lawn chairs on the back deck and also available poolside. The front deck has an enclosed outside shower for rinsing off after the pool or beach. Parking is available in front of the condo. It is located with easy access off the island to Brunswick for shopping or emergencies. An extensive health club is located next store to the complex with very reasonable daily, weekly or monthly rates.

Nice but noisy.

The condo was has great decor. There were no Keurig or measuring cups. The unit is right on a busy intersection making it noisy and hard to exit into traffic. That being said the complex atmosphere was calm and friendly.

Long awaited vacation

My husband and adult son stayed for 3 nights. We have not had a vacation in 5 years so we were excited for this trip. The condo was very clean and tidy. There were plenty of towels and the kitchen was fully stocked with anything one might need. The only thing I will mention is that my son and husband have a lot of allergies, so we were glad it was listed as no pets allowed. However, the decorative pillows had feathers in them which my husband and son are allergic to . My only suggestion is to consider replacing those pillows for people who have allergies. Other than that, the condo was just right. Centrally located made it easy to get to pier and East Beach. It was easy to communicate with the owner, Michelle, who was quick to respond to inquiries. We had a great vacation revisiting St. Simon's Island!

St Simon Island Vacation

Let's start with what I didn't like. The main thing was the inability to use the grille. I was led to believe I could use an electric grille on the deck, bit it was nowhere to be found. I texted both the owner and the property manager, and was told by the manager - Sharon - that there was a grille In the yard that was gas but there was no tank. She also informed me that only electric grilles could be used on the deck, for safety reasons. I couldn't believe that the association would not allow adults to use whatever type of grille an owner chose. This was a bit confusing and disappointing. Sharon referred us to a bbq joint in the area, but we didn't want bbq. We like to grille our salmon and did not want to cook it in the house, as some people don't like fish of any kind cooked inside their homes. That's basically my only issue. Aside from that, I found the facility very accommodating. I loved the location, it was very clean, the kitchen was very well stocked with cooking utensils. My wife had an issue with the low seating furniture, but I just think that's one of those issues where you can't please everyone. Had to remind her she wasn't going to live there. All in all, this is a very good place to stay on your vacation or weekend getaway. Thank you Ms Brown and Sharon.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in our home. Unfortunately, our Condo association has very strict rules regarding the grills on the back patio's. There have been problems with some of the renters in the past not being careful with open fires. Safety is our main concern. We hope you will stay with us again when your travel brings you to St. Simons Island. Hopefully your bride will feel comfortable on our couchs.

Great location with a beautiful home feel.

Beautiful place just as pictured. The hosts were just a text away and so easy to reach with quick responses. Perfect location for us. Away from the crowds yet close enough that it was only a few minutes to get to the beach or activities or restaurants. The bedrooms/beds were large enough to accommodate a couple and child. Everything was there for us to bring our own food and cook each meal. The deck was perfect for eating outside or just relaxing. Love the convenience of outdoor shower/rinse off. We also enjoyed the pool. Would definitely stay there again.

Weekend wedding and get away

My cousin and I came to the island for my nephews wedding. The property was very clean, decorated very nice and was close to everything. Our host left detailed and helpful instructions for everything we could think of! We will be back!
