We stayed 1 night on our way to Boston and absolutely loved this place! Really clean, beautiful setting right on the river and communication with Meghan was perfect.
This a wonderful little cottage. We really enjoyed the deck and the fire pit. With being so close to the river, the big windows were definitely a plus for us.
House was as described. well stocked and had everything we needed. Beautiful deck overlooking the river. Even though we had a lot of rain the view was great! Close to the bike trails. Dinner at the Allegheny Grill was delicious. I would not hesitate to suggest this home for your next stay in that area.
My son and i were looking for a midpoint in a curvy Pensylvania route. Parker,PA was interesting. Its a little paddle stop on the Allegheny River. The little house is just sown river of town. Maker sure to ask about kayaks and bikes ahead of time, or bring your own i guess.
Sweet little cottage.
Private enough for good conversation.
Right in the middle of nowhere but at the center of it all
We had a great 1 night stay here that we picked for its central location midway to the Grove City Premier Outlets and the UPMC Northwest hospital.
Newly created turnaround at the end of the driveway eliminates backing down the old driveway.
No sulpher smell in the water.
Easy access to the river for swimming. Bring an innertube or inflatable raft. Water was warm for June.
Had a bald eagle fly in and perch on a tree branch just 20 feet from our deck.
Meghan granted us an early arrival, and then helped us retreive a makeup case that was left behind after we checked out.
Highly recommend this property and it is one of the rare one night minimum rentals available.
We were very pleased with our one night stay, and wish we had been able to stay longer. Meghan promptly responded to each of our emails, which we appreciated. The property and amenities are accurately described. Extra bonus points for finding a John Prine LP on the record player -- great taste! We are birders, and were very pleased to hear and see the number and variety of birds in and around the property. Two things I would emphasize for future guests. Our GPS insisted on taking us to a turn off about a hundred yards from the true turn off to the driveway, so be wary of what your GPS tells you. Second, pay close attention to what the hosts have to say about the driveway itself, and contact them with any questions. Thanks again, Meghan, we will definitely be in touch next time we are in the area.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Quick flip that is only nice becuase it is new and on the wayer
I planned for solitude. I checked ahead of time that there were no cameras on the property as I am recently widowed mom of 3 young kids and was hoping to process my grief without an audience for once. The property boasted quiet.
When I arrived, I missed the driveway. They dont warn you that it is a sharp drop to the property and a scary pull out into on comming traffic.
The place is clean and new, but if you know anything of construction even in passing, you will be constantly annoyed with the shortcuts they so clearly took. Nothing dangerous just unfinished shotty work with almost no caulk anywhere and black grout in the shower so that you are not sure if it is grout or mildew. Smells like mildew.
When I woke up the next morning I noticed 4 undisclosed cameras and a construction crew using the power outlet on the front porch.
The host wished me happy naps and reading and there was hammering and power tools being used on their adjacent property that again was less than an extention cord away fron the front door I was renting! They were also blocking the driveway.
So I planned on being a crying ugly troll all week and instead, i felt i had to be presentable for the multiple stangers that could easily watch me from the deck as well as the cameras that felt most intrusive when I was crying the hardest. No reading, naps or yoga were had.
On check out day the hosts stared at me from the other property as i soaked up the sun until my departure time.

Sandra asked prior to her arrival if she could bring her dog, and we are not a pet friendly home, so we politely told her she could not (as we’ve made exceptions in the past and have had damage/excessive mess from others so have stopped making exceptions - which we also told her). This prompted our $300 undisclosed pet fee (noted in listing rules upon booking) resulting in this retaliatory review. Upon her complaint about the contractor coming on site (rightfully so, they should not have been on the property and that was addressed immediately with them), we viewed our disclosed exterior security cameras to make sure there was no ill-will as she had inferred. There was none, but we also saw she brought her dog even after being asked not to. This unfortunately set a sour tone for the entire trip and there was no way we were going to make this guest happy. There’s also white grout right beside the black, charcoal, grout she mentioned, and can assure guests there is no chance of mold or mildew. And there was guests in our other rental.. so no.. we were not watching her as she left.. nor can the other rental even be seen from this home.
My boyfriend and I stayed at this house for the weekend and it was a great get-away spot! The house was newly updated and clean, and had everything we needed. The fire pit and the deck overlooking the river were amazing and a great place to have coffee in the morning. Very private but close to amenities around the area. The host was very responsive and quick to answer any questions. Easy to check in and out too. We loved it and are planning to go back already!
Perfect spot to rest and relax on the river. Close but to biking trails and good restaurants. I would go back in the future and will miss this peaceful, lovely place.
This well kept property sits on the beautiful Allegheny River. The cottage was clean and updated. The host demonstrated kindness and flexibility in meeting our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and even the smallmouth bass cooperated nicely! The float trips on the Allegheny from Kennerdale to Parker were fantastic--as was the hiking in the nearby Clear Creek State Forest! A wonderful week in a beautiful setting!

So glad you enjoyed your stay with us, James. We'd be happy to have you and your friends back any time you're visiting town!
Loved our weekend escape by the Allegheny River run this perfectly styled cabin! My favorite thing was waking up in the morning and looking out the window at our first snowfall of the season and the rushing river. While there is not a full kitchen, it has plenty of tools and appliances to be able to cook simple meals and then settle in for a movie night on the projector. Minutes from the Allegheny River trail where we went to ride bikes with our kids and Freedom Falls for a short hike by the waterfall, this spot is a gem. Would love to come back on a warmer weekend and take advantage of water activities.
Enjoyable stay in a cozy cabin on the Allegheny river
Great place to stay with the perfect accommodations for the two of us. A bit tricky getting into and out of the property, especially after dark, but it was part of the privacy and solitude of the stay.
The owners have done an amazing job updating this little property. It has everything you need for a perfect stay. Easier to find during the day as our gps (Google Maps) unfortunately took us to a nearby street and very difficult to turn around in driveway but other than that, we enjoyed our stay and the cottage.
The little cabin is so well set up. The owners have thought of so many little things. The deck, the fire pit, the view all great. Quick drive to couple of restaurants and small grocery store. Just can’t say enough. We have stayed at many VRBO’s this is one of our favorite.
