We had an amazing time in this beautiful home. The host bent over backwards to make sure we were well taken care of. The views are gorgeous and the house is very well appointed. Enjoyed the gentle ocean, waves and breezes in the bedrooms facing the ocean. Would definitely come back here again.

We loved the house and location, and Brooke was great to deal with. We chose the house because we had family stay with us. We loved the location It will be bigger than we need for Bobbie and I as a couple, but should we bring family back we would be looking at the house for availability

Brooke is an absolutely incredible and accommodating host. She is very responsive and had great recommendations for the island. We ended up leaving early because of a potential hurricane, and she was flexible with our booking. However, note that the house does not have AC and it can get extremely hot and even with fans. The house feels like it has seen better days and was not thoroughly cleaned. There were cobwebs and bugs that worsened the longer we were there even with all of the screens closed. We did see turtles every night and morning and that was lovely.

Katie, I am sorry that the heat impacted your trip. It has been a really unspeakably unusual weather season for our island. The three hurricanes in six weeks have been difficult for everyone, but I definitely responded as quickly as possible to have extra fans delivered as soon as you let me know that the house was too hot and a couple of fans were not working. I thought that we had resolved that issue as best as possible. We do not have air-conditioning but we usually do have a wonderful ocean breeze. The house is very open air so air-conditioning is not a possibility. I wish that you would have let me know about the Housekeeping issues as I would’ve also had those addressed as soon as I was informed. I also include our Housekeeper’s contact on your check-in instructions. We have a great team and try to provide an excellent experience for our guests. As far as accommodating you for the hurricane, I generously refunded the night that you left early even though that is not my responsibility. Our house is not brand new, but we take pride in the responsiveness of our team, the amenities we provide and our wonderful location /price point in Puako. If you are looking for a more updated house, you will definitely pay more. I hope your next stay in Hawaii will meet your expectations.

What a beautiful trip in a beautiful spot. Great home; if you are a lap swimmer this is the house you want on the Big Island. If you are a a tide pool explorer you will be in heaven. The house is equipped with more than ample water gear. We enjoyed the boogie boards on a nearby sandy beach (less than 10 minutes away by car). The wildlife - on land, sea and air - surrounding the home is exquisite. Everyone snorkeled, every day, right outside the house. Safe, welcoming, easy location. Brooke genuinely wanted us to have the best vacation possible and was available anytime. We appreciated her sincerity and her warmth. To sit on the lanai or on the couch with the sliding doors open to the sea and just be was really what I needed personally. SO much beauty right there. Returned rested, soulfully rested. Thanks to this place.Thank you Brooke, the very best wishes to you. I'm going to swim my morning laps in that pool someday again!

We have been to Puako many times before, but this time wanted to bring family. We had six adults and a toddler, and the home was spacious, comfortable, very well appointed and ideally situated. We made most of our dinners there and loved the lanai dining table where we ate and watched sunsets. A bonus treat was fireworks set off from Mauna Kea that we watched from the backyard. Our guests enjoyed the pool as a cool down after a hot day, some of us braved the snorkeling accessible from two houses down (you have to really watch the tides to do it safely though). Brooke was an amazing host, very helpful and communicative. We will certainly return and bring family again!

Incredible stay, family memories for a life time. Incredible location to explore, relax and be together with family. The pool was great to have for the little one and the ocean had amazing snorkeling right outside the door. Home is unique with its amazing ability to open up the back of it for indoor/outdoor living.

This house was absolutely perfect for my Big Island vacation. Going to sleep each night to the sound of the waves crashing right outside my bedroom window and waking up to watch the turtles cruising around in the surf every morning was magical. The house is right next to Beach 69 and Hapuna beach, and the location is great for getting around the Kohala coast. I definitely hope I get to stay here again someday!

It’s difficult to describe anything as perfect these days, but this home was indeed that. I have no idea what the owner, whom I know only as Brooke, does for a living, but she could easily succeed in the hospitality business. The setting is magnificent, everything you need is there, and it’s all perfectly organized. We will be back ASAP!

Relaxing stay

Never been to the Big Island before and we found this beautiful home to stay at and spend time with family. We had fun exploring the island but the best times were spent as a family enjoying the welcoming home and gorgeous views of the ocean!!
