Casa Soleada, our private beachfront home on beautiful Tankah Bay, is a large 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bathroom multi-level home with over 4000 square feet of living space designed for comfort and relaxation. Enjoy panoramic ocean views from all living areas and outdoor patios.

Our nightly rate is attractively priced for up to 8 guests. For each additional guest, just $50 per night is added. We're a great value for groups of all sizes. If you're celebrating a Birthday, anniversary, wedding or a family/friend reunion, our skilled staff will help you make the celebration very memorable.

Each of the 4 large bedrooms is furnished with a plush king-size bed, private bathroom, large closet, air conditioning and an ocean-facing balcony. In addition, 2 of the bedrooms also have bunk beds. There is an on-site caretaker and daily maid service and cooking service for breakfast & dinner provided Mon. thru Sat. You just pay for the groceries and a small shopping fee, and our staff prepares your wonderful home-cooked meals right at the villa.

The villa has a gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, rich wood cabinetry and culinary cookware. There is a comfortably furnished indoor living/dining area, and a relaxing ocean-facing tile-roof patio with a BBQ grill for outdoor dining. The host TEAM was amazing. Yobany and Edith are truly wonderful human beings, and Edith’s cooking is second to none. We felt welcomed and well cared for throughout our stay.The property itself is thoughtfully designed for groups. It offers great shared spaces to spend time together while ALSO allowing for privacy when needed. The owner was extremely responsive and efficient. We did experience an AC situation during our stay, and it was addressed promptly.For families traveling with young children, I’ll share a couple of practical points that are helpful to know in advance (and MY BAD for not confirming these details ahead of time). The beach bottom, while sandy, is riddled with large rocks, which makes it difficult to walk out comfortably and limits its suitability for small children.Also, the pool is not heated. The water is refreshing and great for cooling off (Canadian lake style ), but it is on the cooler side for extended periods. The children tended to get chilly fairly quickly, even in HOT weather.Sharing this simply as information for future guests who may be traveling with small kids. These were oversights on our part, not issues with the host or the property.Overall, we rate this place a 5 out of 5. It is a wonderful setting for a group stay, and the hospitality from TEAM EDITH and YOBANY made the experience even more special.Our sincere thanks and gratitude to TEAM EDITH and YOBANY for their warmth, care, and hospitality.

Frank the owner was extremely helpful kind and patient. He got back to me immediately abt any questions or concerns. Yobany the manager & his wife Edith were very nice and helpful. The house is right on the bay. It’s a gorgeous view- we got some beautiful pictures. Unfortunately we went during sargassum season & the whole Caribbean was suffering but we went in some awesome cenotes which were very much enjoyed. All in all a great vacation. Bring bug spray tho the mosquitoes are relentless if your prone to getting bit.

The house is great. Every room has a private bathroom and all of the rooms were a good size. The caretakers are very kind and friendly. They pop by daily to see if you need any cleaning done. We had them cook us one dinner which was fantastic and they also did a few loads of laundry for us. The road to get to the house is long and unpaved. We got used to this after the first day but it does take a bit to get to the main road. Our only complaint is that we came during the seaweed season. The beach was pretty much unusable. This obviously is not the owners fault but when you spend so much money on a beachfront house it is really disappointing. The caretakers worked really hard to create us a path to the ocean for kayaking etc. There was also a more usable area a house down. Instead though we took advantage of Xcaret and the Gran Cenote in Tulum. I highly recommend both.

Cozy beach front villa

We had a lovely stay at this villa. While it wasn’t “luxury “, it was in a fabulous location and had almost everything we needed. Positives: Good communication with owner prior to arrival Care taker and his wife were kind and lovely We used the cooking services on most breakfast and dinners, And enjoyed family meals outsideBeds were comfy, rooms were spacious, there was plenty of room for everyone (we were 8)Hot water was plentifulGreat breeze The location was ideal Kayaks, water shoes, snorkeling gear, paddle boards all huge plus Pool was cleaned dailyOutdoor space great!We walked to cenote down the road and snorkeled there as well. Cons:Little tiny bugs in rooms and beds and cupboards (I get that it’s by the beach but this can be easily addressed) Pool small (More like large hot tub) but we still enjoyed itVilla is a little dated and can use a few upgrades For example, No dishwasher (which is a problem if you’re a large group and don’t want to leave dishes out b/c you don’t want to encourage bugs) Shower heads need updating. They sprayed everywhere and if more than one person showering than water pressure not great. None of these things really hindered our stay. They are just constructive comments to help make future stays more comfortable.

A Wonderful Vacation

This is the second visit to Tankah Shores, the first being 10 years ago in the next-door three bedroom. Both houses are wonderful, right on the beach and so clean. Yobanny and Edith and family are wonderful hosts, so attentive to any needs we might have had. We used Edith's cooking services and she did not disappoint - the food was fabulous. Highly recommend skipping the pricey restaurants down the street and just go with Edith! If you have a chance to stay at either Tankah Shores properties, run don't walk!

Great Location & House Layout w/Cook

This was our second time here, it had been about 8 years. The layout of the house with 4 full ensuite bedrooms is great. We were a group of 8 friends & had plenty of space for meals, games & lounging inside and out. Edith & Yobany are excellent caretakers, we had all meals prepared for us. The dishes were outstanding! We had desert daily, all so delish! We used the pre-grocery ordering to stock the house before arrival, there were a fair bit of missing items (including spaghetti ingredients & bread, which we needed to cook our own dinner on Sunday since it’s their day off) but it was nice to have the option and It got us through our first days, so we ate at a nearby restaurant Sunday. We used the kayaks & paddle boards daily. We snorkeled & brought 3 sets of gear, we struggled to find adult fins in the provided gear (mentioned in the listing) that were not cracked or super short considering it’s ocean snorkeling. There were many water shoe options which was nice. The pool was great, we used it daily. There were many games, puzzles & DVDs for our use. The 1st floor en-suite bath could use fresh paint on the ceiling, the lounge chairs were very hard & without cushions. A few more small side tables outside would be great. The owner was very kind, very responsive & allowed us a later checkout, as we all had afternoon flights. The sargassum was pretty bad (can’t control nature) but the caretakers did their best to remove some. Overall it was a wonderful visit.

Exceptional stay

We had a family reunion for a milestone birthday at Casa Soleada. We had a very memorable stay. The property itself is exceptional with beach access steps away from the villa. We utilized the chef services for some meals and it was wonderful. We rented several cars for our group since the property is several miles from attractions. The caretaker/cook couple were great to work with and they took very good care of us. Highly recommend this property!

Amazing house and service

We had an amazing 6 night stay at Casa Soleada. Upon arrival we were greeted by Yobany and Edith with a fresh cooked meal waiting for us. The house was in immaculate shape and even better in person than pictures. The service we had throughout our entire stay was nothing short of amazing. Continual cleaning, property maintenance and cooking. We walked the beach in both directions and determined this is the nicest and best kept single family home in the cove. The only thing worth mentioning as a caution is that there is a small commercial diving operation that operates off the property’s beach front with the boat also moored off the property. Would 100% stay again!

Wonderful house to unplug and relax!

We enjoyed a week at Casa Soleada with our family, including two young children. The house is comfortable and the property is beautiful. The private beach and pool are breathtaking and can't be beat. The location is extremely remote and we did not venture out much because of that -- and because of the beauty of the property. The staff was wonderful and kept us full and happy with their cooking and company. Would recommend for a relaxing and rejuvenating "off the grid" trip!

Casa Soleada was the perfect fit for our family of 3 generations. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. We especially loved the ease of having Edith prepare our breakfast and dinner (almost) every day. Her cooking was traditional and delicious! Do not miss her avocado toast in the morning or her banana bread! The casa is older but well cared for…we loved the traditional feel of it. Sunrise was spectacular. The bay is very quiet with few people walking by … rocky so bring your water shoes. Nearby hotels were fun to stop into for lunch and we especially enjoyed Casa Cenote. Yobany, Edith and their staff were great (it was really nice to have them on the property in case we had any issues). Always felt safe, even taking a walk at night. Everyone hated to leave!

Very well maintained property

The home is right on the beach, with all bedrooms facing the shore and bathrooms in all bedrooms. It is well stocked, from kitchenware to beach toys. It is very well maintained, and kept spotless by the property caretakers every day. The access road is bad, even by Mexican standards, so expect the 1km drive from the highway to take 10 minutes at very low speed. There are several options for dining within minutes walk, and caretaker staff can cook to order in the house for decent prices. This is one of the best beach houses we've stayed in. Great location, excellent caretaker team, very clean, and well supplied with anything you would need for the stay.

Beautiful home on the ocean

We had a most fantastic rejuvenation here! We felt so nurtured and cared for. The food prepared for us was amazing and made with love. Any questions I had during the booking process were quickly responded to. It’s even more lovely than the pictures… and right on the beach. We walked the beach daily, swam, snorkeled, paddle boarded, did yoga, danced in the rain and had a blast! We will definitely be returning.

Fun relaxing week. Great location steps to the beach. Yobony and Edith were great. The food was delicious. All bedrooms had ice cold AC and made sleeping very comfortable. The rest of the home is not air conditioned, but usually not bad with the windows open and sea breeze blowing. But is did get a little stuffy and hot late in the evening when the wind died down. But overall fun enjoyable stay.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! The location (right on the beach), the amenities (kayaks/paddle boards/life jackets/etc.), and especially the staff (Yobany and Edith) who are the nicest people AND amazing chefs....make this place A+++. Wonderful stay at Tankah Shores

We spent 7 wonderful days at Tankah shores! The beachfront location and area were like having a private beach to yourself. The house had everything we needed for enjoying the ocean like kayaks and paddle boards, we even found water shoes to borrow, which were great as it is a bit rocky to wade out right in front of the house. The staff were very friendly and we took advantage of the cooking services, which was such a luxury! When we didn't have them cook or feel like cooking ourselves we walked down the road to Casa Altamar and had some delicious meals. With it being a gated road to the house and Yobany and Edith living onsite we felt very safe. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We fell in love with Tankah in 1997 and purchased property there - no matter where we are in the world, a piece of our heart remains in Tankah. The bay is clean and close to things to do.
