The house was beautiful. There are a lot of steps leading up to the property so be cognizant of that. Fantastic communication with the host and such a beautiful and well-kept property. Highly recommend!!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Beautiful place to stay! Great views and plenty of deck space to exist outside and enjoy the mountain air. The hot tub was a very nice addition that both the adults and kids enjoyed. The property was clean and in good shape on our arrival. Check in was easy and quick. The stairs to get into the cabin were a hassle, but worth the effort.
Great location and beautiful views. Two things to consider before renting- be prepared to drive up a steep driveway (our Honda minivan and Tesla made it), and there are 62 steps from the driveway to the top deck. So, you have a 25 lb cooler....get ready for a workout. The house is clean and well-equipped. Comfortable beds with extra soft blankets in the closet if needed. The porch swing and rocking chairs were favorites for early morning coffee and evening beverages. If the weather were cooler, the hot tub would have been awesome to get into during the evening hours. We saw a black bear walk up the driveway into the woods during the light evening hours, saw hummingbirds, butterflies, heard owls, and coyotes. The grill was cleaned like brand new. The gaming room was a favorite for the kids. Activities we liked: Middle Prong trail, lunch at The Abbey, Honeysuckle Pool, renting bikes on car-free Wednesday at Cades Cove, ultimate package of Go Kart. black light mini golf and arcarde, Climb Works zip line, Metcalf Bottoms hike, River Rat tubing (good for all day) Food Truck Social, Iron Forge Brewery and Gatlinberg Brewery- limited menu but the pizza was great. This is a great rental that is close to it all, but nestled in the quiet foothills. I would recommend to everyone!

Thank you Reece, for taking time out to review our cabin. Looks like you really got to do the Smokies like it is supposed to be done. Yes the cabin is well located in the middle of all these activities. In many cases just a few miles down the road. Our driveway is a little steep but no concern for any 2 wheel drive car. We have a beverage cooler in game room and the fridge has icemaker. Next time leave cooler in truck and save your back. We have unlimited ice waiting for you. Thanks again I’m going to Reccomended guests use your review as a guide for Smokies vacationing the right way.
Absolutely love the cabin. Amazing views and everything was exactly as pictured. Owner was very friendly and sent thorough instructions and details for the stay. Would definitely rent again.
Our host was amazing—I never once needed to reach out because all correspondence was incredibly detailed and timely. The property itself was outstanding. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the cabin was in pristine condition upon arrival. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
Check in process very easy, very responsive host. Cute firepit area. Could use a little extra cobweb dusting around ceilings. Concrete/railroad tie steps need some TLC. Game room needs some updating(pool rack, pool stick tips, pool chalk, darts with tips for dart board.) Beautiful view! You definitely get your exercise in with the steps overall nice house and nice, quick and responsive host!!

Hi Amanda. Thank you for your review. Glad you enjoyed the Firepit. Just found out our pool rack was destroyed prior to your arrival. New one on order. I’ll ask cleaners to put out new supplies for gameroom.
Ron was really great with communication and assisting us with things in the cabin. The day we checked out, there was ice and he helped with that as well and was very nice. The house was clean and had everything we needed! Great hosting!
We had a wonderful stay, everything thing was just as described. Be prepared for the steps, it was a weekly workout, seeing bears right at the cabin multiple times was amazing and had a beautiful view. And love that we could take our dogs along.
The cabin is cozy and the owners are extremely nice! We spotted a momma bear with her cubs twice during our stay (very cool if you’re inside, a bit scary if you’re climbing up the walkway). Most of the drive up to the cabin is easy, but the driveway is definitely steep. Overall our group of adults and kids loved our stay and never had a boring moment

About the host
Hosted by Ron and Kattia Jackson
Ron and Kathy are happily married over 20 years. We love to travel the world but love to spend time visiting our cabin and the beautiful smoky mountains. Our favorite time of year to visit the cabin is late October - Early November. The leaves are in full color, it is quite with very little traffic. Just magical experience traveling through the country roads with farms everywhere. You must try it at least once.
Why they chose this property
Cabin is less than 10 miles to all the attractions of Pigeon Forge and only a few short miles to the park entrance. You are away from the traffic and congestion of the Parkway but can be in the mix of it all in a few short minutes. You can sit on the deck and listen to the birds sing and the distant sounds of the cows and roosters in the valley down below. On a clear day you can see the light of the heaven and the lights of the city in the distant mountain view
What makes this property unique
True mountain getaway. check it out for yourself. it is sure to please.
