This property is a perfect place to get away from the city. Its close enough to local attractions yet far enough to be able to sit on the deck in the morning or evenings and rarely hear a car pass by. Highly recommend this property. Thank you for a great place to stay!!
We really enjoyed our stay. We wanted a property that was secluded but still gave us easy drives to go to all of the attractions offered by the Black Hills. The owner has thought of everything and the farmhouse is cozy and well stocked. It was great to have internet and TV, as well as lots of outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the views, the birds and the fresh air. The owner was very responsive and helpful. I really enjoy the Instagram Account and got several ideas for things to do in the area from it.
Our stay at the Nemo Farmhouse was amazing. We absolutely loved the property and home. The owners have truly thought of everything you could possibly need and more. So many details to make our stay so memorable. We enjoyed breakfast, watching the sunset, and star gazing from the deck. Saw lots of deer as well. Communication with Julie the owner was fantastic. She even would text me with suggestions for things to do in the area, and we would share some of the wildlife pictures from their property with her as well. We visited Deadwood, Lead, and Spearfish Cayon. We only stayed 2 nights, and were truly sad to leave. Even our 13 and 15 year old boys. We would love to come back again someday.
If you are debating staying at Nemo Farmhouse, let this be your sign to book it. Julie is an excellent host. The property is secluded and beautiful. The view alone is worth the price of the stay. The house is charming. It is what it claims to be, a farmhouse. Julie thought of everything. The personal touches are everywhere. There are games for the whole family for inside and out. You might find yourself playing badmitten one minute and playing dominoes the next. There is a swing and firepit complete with roasting sticks for marshmallows. There is a reading nook complete with a library in case you forgot to bring bedtime stories for your little ones. The horses and outside critters (woodchucks, birds, etc) were a bonus. Adults and kids were equally happy here. We plan to book a stay here again and would 100% recommend this place to our friends. We made great memories here.
The Nemo Farmhouse is wonderful property and in a perfect location. It is super easy to access and at the same time it feels remote while you sit out on the deck taking in the sunset. My family and I have come out to the hills for years during the summer to participate in the Black Hills 100 race. This is by far the best place we have stayed. The course is from Sturgis to Silver City and back and takes place on the Centennial trail. The trail is visible from the Nemo Farmhouse and was in the perfect spot for my crew to be able stop in at various times during the race for coffee, shut eye, and food.
We enjoyed the comfortable beds, cozy atmosphere, and pleasant outdoor space. Julie has great attention to detail and really had everything we needed. I grilled out one evening, made breakfast burritos for the race, and made pizzas another night. Whatever you want to cook, you will be able to do here. The coffee bar is impressive and fully stocked with all manner of brewing methods and some good coffee options too. The kids and I enjoyed the outdoor games, the book selection (my girls loved reading on the hammock outside), and watching a late night movie together after sunset.
Following the 105 mile race, which was successfully completed, I couldn't wait to get back to the Farmhouse. After 32 hours out on the Centennial a hot shower and the comfortable bed was all I could think about. We will definitely stay at the Farmhouse again.
