About this property

Wilderness Club Chalet Golf Retreat

Welcome to the Wilderness Club. Take advantage this private 4 BR 3 1/2 bath Chalet with views of Wilderness Lake and the Purcell Mountain range in an area affectionately known as northern Montana's "banana belt" for the nice temperatures and plenty of sun. Gather around the Great Room and share stories around the fireplace or take in the morning light with the floor to ceiling windows. Make sure to bring the clubs and chip your day away at one of Montana's most premiere golf resorts. Bring your boat, paddleboards, and lake toys to Lake Koocanusa, one of Montana's largest reservoir lakes that extends 90 miles and into Canada. Hike in the Kootenai National Forest on trails right near the Canadian border where you are lucky to see another hiker. Or head to fly fish on the world-renowned Kootenai River just south of the Libby Dam. This is real Montana which you can enjoy from your luxury filled and fitted outpost. Finish your day on the large deck while the Traeger smokes up a family feast or put on clean clothes and head to the Wilderness Grille and enjoy Montana cuisine cooked up from the chefs onsite.

This house is amazing!
The house was amazing. It was perfect for our family. The big windows and decks were wonderful to see the view of the lake and wildlife. The 4 bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderful. Beds were very comfortable. The kids loved the log bunk beds, toys & games. The Hot tub and the big decks were awesome. Both the main living room, dining room, kitchen and entertainment room downstairs were very nice. The furniture was very comfortable. Derek was very responsive when we had any questions about the house.

About the host

I'm a Montana native, growing up in nearby Whitefish on a horse and cattle ranch. Montana has always been a special place for our family and we have kept a second home here amidst living overseas and working on the West Coast. My husband and I met overseas in Singapore and have two children, 4 and 7. We love the outdoors and are constantly looking at ways to hike, mountain bike, climb, wake surf (a must do on the lakes in Montana!), ride horses, or ski, skate, and skin in the winter. Montana provides an amazing outdoor lifestyle to raise our kids.

Why they chose this property

We are in a great position to call Montana home now and wanted to find a place that captured what we call "old Montana" - where life is a little bit slower, nature is still wild, and lakes are broad, deep, and cold with few boats. We bought this place in the Wilderness Club as it provided the perfect spot to explore northern Montana - both in the summer and winter and provide that weekend getaway home base (and only 1 hour from Whitefish). We hope you enjoy this home as much as we do!

Wilderness Club disclaimer: Guest of this property do not have access to the Wilderness Club Clubhouse, pool, spa. waterpark, gym, or splashpad.

Guest are able to book tee times for Golf!!
