Smart TVs are provided in the primary bedroom and living room, and a work-from-home workspace is set up and ready to go in the secondary bedroom.
Note: our home has one full bathroom which is great for smaller families, just worth knowing ahead of time if you're traveling with a larger group.

The property was phenomenal, but I truly want to harp on the host of the property. It truly is kid-friendly. Everything you could ever need for young kids has already been thought of. From cutlery to toys to even child proofing the house. I would gladly stay at any property by this host again.
This property was clean and conveniently located to downtown McKinney. The bungalow was clean and comfortable and would also appeal to families with children with a nice outdoor space that included play equipment as well as a grill. Very quiet neighborhood with walkability to downtown Is an added bonus.
Loved staying at the bungalow. It was very convenient to downtown. We loved having the backyard and play area. The house was lovely and plenty of room.
Exactly met our needs as a family traveling with a baby for the first time. You can tell Jessica has thought of ALL the details for staying with littles. From the baby gear to toys to the coffee bar set up - this was the PERFECT landing spot for our family during a hectic wedding weekend.
The house was just perfect for us.
Super clean, super convenient, centrally located, and the hosts take care of every detail. We are coming back for sure

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
The house was definitely a little more worn than the pictures but still cute and the size was great. The area is what I would consider as being “revitalized.” Newer renovated homes mixed with what appeared to be lower income homes. My biggest complaint was the cleanliness, or lack there of. I think the ow owners should reconsider their cleaning crew. The fridge was gross. Sticky with jelly and old condiments. There was toothpaste on the bathroom faucet and hair in the shower. There was also a used towel in the floor of one of the closets. If this issue was fixed, I wouldn’t mind staying here again.
The house was perfect.Close to historic downtown for a nice walk for fun browsing. The off street parking great. The kitchen was beatiful with everything a chef could need with new appliances. Washer and dryer were excellent with provided pods.Very nice bath and bedrooms a very kid friendly.Big back yard with awesome patio and a great weber gas grill. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!
5 stars! Place was clean, comfortable, communication with owner was excellent. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area. Location is perfect for visiting downtown.
The house was a great place to stay with kids. The hosts had lots of extra comforts for guests, kitchen tools and extra blankets. The space is beautifully decorated and easy to get to. Close to shopping and freeways.
We were visiting from Oregon with a 3 and 1 year old. The bungalow had everything we needed for our kids which was such a relief. It was in a great location and so cute. The play structure in the backyard was perfect to burn off some energy before naps. We will definitely try to stay here next visit.
Lovely home with everything we needed. Clean and comfy! Near historic downtown McKinney with shops and eats. The Saturday mornings farmer market is walking distance and has many vendors!
Bungalow 214 is cozy and comfortable, has a very well stocked and equipped kitchen and is strategically located. I will definitely book Bungalow 214 the next time I come to McKinney! Great place!!!
This was the perfect size for me and my family! They have everything you’d need for young kids. From dishes and utensils to toys. The bunk bed my boys loved! And my kids were obsessed with the playground set outside. My kids were never bored. The owners are so quick to reply if you have any questions and they’re amazing. The location is amazing it is right next to everything.
A charming Bungalow in Downtown Historic McKinney. We enjoyed our stay while visiting my son and his family. The house has beautiful upgrades and is very clean. Many toys and books for the littles to enjoy. I chose this home because the owners are consistent in communication with quick response. Will definitely stay here again.
We love staying in your comfortable home. A few suggestions: level the ceiling fan blades so they don’t make noise, mow the backyard, include a salad bowl in the kitchen wares.
We will book again when we’re in McKinney.
Thanks for welcoming us into your home!
This is our second time staying in this property when having tournaments in the area.
The property is absolutely fantastic, super cozy, super clean, very comfortable; and the location is unbeatable. 15 to 20 minutes to the fields with plenty of options for dining and shoping also minutes away.
I would hesitate to rent it one more time when playing in the area again
Our stay was great, while it is geared towards a family with small children we had a group of adults and we did just fine. As long as you are not picky about sharing a bedroom anyone could stay here. The owners are very thoughtful with a coffee bar that has several ways to brew coffee. We were left some adult beverages which was a great touch. If I’m in the area again I’ll definitely be looking out for this house again.

Thank you so much, Dustin! We are so glad you guys had a great time and hope to host you again in the future!
Easy to find/access, very clean home that has been beautifully remodeled and furnished. My kids are 6 and 3, they loved the bunk beds in the same room as Mom/Dad and all the books and games to play with. I really loved the children table/chairs - it was my 3 year olds favorite spot! The backyard playground was a huge hit too. Fully stalked kitchen to make you feel right at home. Top notch amenities that have been mindfully selected. They were thoughtful and kind. Cant say enough great things! Will highly recommend to anyone that needs a place to stay in Collin County.

About the host
Your host
Hi, we're Jess and family! We're a homeschooling family with two daughters, and hosting Bungalow 214 came from a very personal place. We know exactly what it's like to travel with kids and want it to feel like an adventure, not a logistics puzzle.
When we designed this space, we thought through all the little things that make a trip with kids easier: a crib that rolls between rooms so nap schedules aren't disrupted, a fenced backyard where you can let them run without worrying, and books, toys, and games that you're not stuck entertaining them every second. We wanted a house where parents could actually exhale a little.
We love McKinney's downtown ourselves! It's walkable, charming, and full of good food, so we're always happy to share our favorite spots or point you toward whatever your family's looking for, whether that's the best patio for a slow dinner or somewhere to burn off extra kid energy.
We treat our guests the way we'd want to be treated on a trip with our own girls — welcomed, comfortable, and never like an afterthought. If you need anything at all during your stay, we're just a message away.
Can't wait to host your family!
Why they chose this property
There's no shortage of places to stay in McKinney, but Bungalow 214 was built around one idea: families shouldn't have to choose between comfort and convenience. Most rentals treat kids as an afterthought — a pack & play crammed in a corner, maybe. We went the opposite direction, stocking the home with everything from a rolling crib to a toddler-height step stool, so you can travel light and still have what you need.
You'll also get real character here. This is a genuine 1960s Craftsman bungalow, not a cookie-cutter build, with the charm (and quirks) that come with it. Add a private fenced backyard with a playset, a walkable location half a mile from McKinney's historic square, and a host who actually understands what it's like to travel with little ones, and you've got a stay that's as easy on the parents as it is fun for the kids.
If you're looking for a place that feels like a home away from home, not just a place to sleep, this is it.
What makes this property unique
We are extremely family focused when it comes to this rental property! We've done everything we can to provide all kinds of amenities that will make your stay a b
