Check-in was a breeze since we had good communication with the hosts as far as directions and the keypad code. The cabin was quaint uncomfortable with everything that we needed for delightful stay. The refrigerator had cold beverages, waiting, as well as homemade pumpkin muffins!Glenn and Charlene were excellent hosts and made sure that we had everything we needed for a great stay.

Lovely spot with friendly and helpful owners nearby. We had a great stay!
This was our first stay in a “tiny house” type place and we were impressed. We enjoyed our week-long stay and Glen and Charleen were excellent hosts and good company.

A perfect stay! Glen and Charlene are ideal hosts, friendly and very helpful. Homemade muffins greeted my arrival! The RV was spotless and had all amenities, plus coffee, spices, flavored waters and popcorn. Great fluffy towels, too. I would certainly visit again.
All the five star reviews were smack on accurate. But I'd add that the location is nicer than we expected and much changed since Google street view was made. Much of Ajo is flat, but this spot is right by the mountain/hills with lovely cacti surrounding it.
Great stay-should have reserved more days! 10 star experience.
Charleen and Glen were super hosts. Explained everything about living in a RV in detail and were always available if we had questions. Home made muffins waiting for us when we checked in, super delicious coffee cake later in the stay and an invitation to a dinner party with 20 of their friends made us feel like life long friends. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back next year.

Enchanted and cozy
We enjoyed the stay. Our hosts were attentive.
VRBO supplied directions to find the owners, but not the lodging. The owners sent it to us, but not until we had already left home and cut our communications.
We will return.
This was a delightful place to stay, especially if you enjoy quails and rabbits running around and dark starry nights.
The hosts were so thoughtful with provisions of drinks, snacks and delicious homemade muffins. They brought me my favourite type of reclining chair, a side table and honey for my cough to ensure I was as comfortable as possible. Very, very sweet people.

Elaine was a lovely guest. We felt bad she wasn't feeling 100%. She seemed to make the most of it though, and was very pleasant to talk with and have as a guest. We would definitely welcome her back and recommend her as a guest.
This small RV was comfortable and adequate; hosts were very accommodating and pleasant. Glenn even helped me get my luggage into the RV (I had sprained my back and am a bit compromised. Charleen had tasteful design and amenities and the place was actually homey without being intrusive. Many Thanks,. Annie
Glen & Charlene were wonderful hosts. They even provided me with a bandaid for my bleeding knee and a couple zip locks on my way out. They go over the top with a lot of extras in the camper trailer. They bed is great, somewhere between hard and firm, perfect if you ask me. The sunrise from the bed was the biggest treat! I fell in love with Ajo... Enjoy! Monday morning yoga in the plaza at 9:00 a.m., bring your matt.
Enjoy!

Tammy was a great guest. She's friendly, communicates well and made us feel like she appreciated our efforts. She loved Ajo! We would definitely host Tammy again!
Great place to see resident and migratory birds. You will likely be greeted by a flock of wild turkeys or one of the resident deer.
There's a trail system that leads you to various areas with different habitat features. Feeders help attract and hold birds for better viewing but this is not simply a zoo, it's a place where the organisms are free to behave in a fully free and natural way.
Be prepared if you stay at the Owl's Nest unit as it presently has no indoor plumbing and the small outdoor sink and portapotty are shared with RV owners. The website makes all that clear, along with other aspects like the option to get linens provided for an additional fee. You will also need to provide your own dishes and utensils.
The location is perfect for town and outdoor activities. The neighborhood is quiet. Everything is in perfect working order in the camper, the mattress very comfortable, kitchen is well stocked, the whole place was spotlessly clean. The hosts went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and welcome. There were extra goodies in the kitchen and more as the time went on. Charleen and Glen are such interesting folks, both with a great sense of humor. They helped me discover outdoor gems I would never have known about or been able to find without their guidance. They were so outgoing and helped me understand the town of Ajo's history and what it is like to live there. Being able to spend time with them definitely enriched my stay. The accomodation and interaction with them was beyond all my expectations. Wonderful!

My husband and I are a blend of the east coast (me) and the Northwest (him :). We have been in Ajo for the last 5 years. We absolutely love it here, and love sharing this wonderful, warm community with others. Ajo is a special little gem in the middle of the Sonoran desert, surrounded with breathtaking desert views most often highlighted with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Being fortunate enough to be here makes us smile everyday.
Why they chose this property
