Check-in and Check-out: The holiday rental is available for check-in starting at 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. Please let us know your estimated time of arrival. Key pickup will be arranged on an individual basis. On the day of departure, the apartment must be vacated by 12:00 PM and left in a clean and tidy condition (for exceptions, see “Late Check-out”). All used dishes must be washed and returned to the cabinets; there is no need to strip the beds. Studios: Use of the studios and printmaking workshop is regulated by the instructor and is generally permitted by prior arrangement. The printing press is a precision instrument; please use it only after receiving prior instruction and making an appointment. Materials are kept in stock for emergencies; if you need any, please record them on the list and reimburse the cost. Bathroom To prevent limescale buildup, please wipe down the shower tiles after showering, and please leave the ventilation running or the window open to air out the room as needed. Library: For the duration of your stay, the house library—containing approximately 500 volumes as well as back issues of the magazines *Bildende Kunst* and *Monopol*—is available to you. Please return them to their original locations. Damage: If anything breaks, please report the damage immediately so we can repair it; you may be liable for the replacement or repair costs. Bedding We provide bedding for the duration of your stay. You do not need to remove the sheets before your departure. Payment The full rental amount must be paid in cash before or upon check-in, or via bank transfer in advance. If a deposit has been made, it will be deducted from the total. Unfortunately, we cannot accept credit cards, debit cards, or checks. Blankets Additional blankets are available; these are intended for indoor use only, and we ask that you not use them as picnic blankets or in the garden. Final Cleaning The cost is calculated based on a standard cleaning service. The apartment must be left swept clean upon departure. If there is excessive dirt or mess, you may be charged accordingly. Garden The garden area, including the sun decks, is at your disposal. Please return the garden furniture to the storage room or under the balcony in the evening and bring the seat cushions into the dining room. Grill / Open Fire A charcoal grill is located with the garden tools in the bathroom shed. Candles are permitted only in the garden. Hair Dryer | Curling Iron We provide a hair dryer and curling iron, which you’ll find in the drawer in the pantry. Please clean any hair residue from the appliances after use. Liability The landlord is not liable for the guest(s)’ valuables. A safe is available. First-Aid Kit A small first-aid kit is available in case of an emergency; you’ll find it in the drawer in the shop. We hope, however, that you won’t need it. Kitchen: You’ll find oil, spices, and other items in the kitchen that you’re welcome to use; if you use a significant amount, please restock them. Eating in the rooms is not permitted; the shop in the Jeve building serves as a communal dining area for everyone, as do the terraces and the courtyard. You’ll find operating instructions in the shop. If the dishwasher isn’t fully loaded, please use the short cycle. Please return dishes, silverware, and pots to the cabinets only when they are clean. Do not pour any waste, food scraps, harmful liquids, grease, or similar substances into the sink, as this can cause unpleasant clogs. Trash: Since we are required to sort trash, we ask that you help us with this. Trash must be sorted into: -> packaging materials (in the yellow bag—all packaging with the “Green Dot” label, no food scraps) -> paper, and -> general waste (food scraps, anything not covered by the first two categories) The dustbin is located behind the courtyard door, as is a paper recycling bin. A container for yellow bags is located in the boiler room / print shop. Trash bags and cleaning supplies can be found in the pantry. Utilities Water, electricity, heating, and trash are included in the rent. These costs are calculated based on normal usage; should they exceed average levels, we reserve the right to request additional payments. Parking: You may park in front of the store to unload; public parking spaces are located in the immediate vicinity and are marked on the map. Price Reduction: In the event of a last-minute failure of furnishings, public utilities, or due to force majeure, there is no entitlement to a price reduction. Please notify us immediately of any defects. The guest shall grant the landlord a reasonable period of time to remedy the defects. Complaints made at a later date will not be accepted and cannot be taken into account. Smoking Our guesthouses, workshop, and studio are smoke-free; we therefore ask that you smoke only on the balcony or terraces and leave the ashtrays there. Keys: Your room key unlocks the front door, the garden gate, and your private room, and is part of a new, high-cost locking system. Please do not let anyone else have your keys. If you lose a key, please report it immediately to the instructor; you are liable for the replacement cost of approximately €120. Duty of Care We ask that you treat the furnishings with care, always lock the front door, and use water and electricity sparingly. Late Check-out For a late check-out between 12.00 - 20.00, half the daily rate will be charged; after 8:00 p.m., the full rate for one night will apply. Mid-Stay Cleaning If you would like mid-stay cleaning during your stay, we’d be happy to arrange it for you. We hope you enjoy your time in Lübz and have a pleasant stay!
