Beautiful

This condo was excellent. Absolutely beautiful view of the bay but also close to the beach. The pools, especially the lazy river, were a big hit since it was double red flags our entire stay. Condo was super clean and close to pretty much everything.

Okaloosa bayside

We were torn between beach or bay. This is the best of both. We stayed on bayside but had access to beach and amenities on both sides of the resort.

Best trip ever

We had the best time, the condo is just awesome, not one issue. The property is clean with friendly staff. We had dolphins in the bay right off balcony the whole time we stayed, plenty of activities for the whole family. I will definitely be back! Thank you so much for making our family vacation (Easter) one that we will always remember!!

Labor Day weekend

Stayed with my adult children, 3yo, and infant. condo was nice and fantastic view. we enjoyed all of the ementities and will come again. Kitchen was not overly stocked but we had all we needed for two meals in, and there is a grilling area which was nice. I highly recommend if you are looking for a resort that is quite and out of the hustle and bustle.

Comfortable and beautiful view

We had a wonderful stay during the Thanksgiving week. The view was pretty. Kitchen was well stocked. The only issue was that the dryer didn’t work but property manager resolve with alternate solution.

Great location love all the things around to do but this unit needs updated. Mattress and pillows are old and worn out. Furniture needs to be replaced. Very worn. We enjoyed our stay because of the location.

Relaxing

If you are looking for a beautiful, clean place to stay with your family for a warm relaxing getaway look no further. This amazing place will not disappoint. We had everything we needed and the all of the beds were comfortable. There’s a balcony that overlooks the bay with plenty of patio furniture and the perfect view of the sunset. A trip across the sky bridge and a short walk takes you to the breathtaking ocean beach. There really is something for everyone to do here! Plenty of restaurants, attractions and plenty of shopping.

Condo is worn

Condo is dirty and needs updates, but will sell because of amenities. View is great. Patio furniture needs fixing. Lazy river is great, plenty of tubes. Even swam in the harbor since the gulf was full of seaweed.

Spacious unit with nice view

We were there for a boys baseball tournament. It was great for what we needed. This unit was spacious with a nice view. My only negatives are that the decor is very dated compared to most other units which made it someone dark and you can’t tell from the pictures. This unit would be great with some updating and if it were a little better stocked with the basics.

Stuff we experienced needed a little change

May need to update listing as the second pull out bed that was a love isn’t in there anymore. It didn’t affect us but could someone else. Also the broom that is in the closet to use is so small. So may need big one. The floors were very sticky. But overall was a great stay and would stay there again. Great location and beautiful view

Beautiful place. Better instructions on remotes and cable in living room would help. We got stations in the bedroom that we couldn’t get in living room. If you turned the Tv off in living room the Tv in bedroom would go off. The pillows in master bedroom left something to be desired. There should be a warning on how HOT the water gets in this condo. Plenty of dishes and appliances. Nice place. Would highly recommend.

Great spot for families!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo is well equipped-kitchen has pots and pans galore, lots of cooking utensils (both for indoor and grill use), cookie sheets and muffin pans. Washer and dryer in unit were a great addition and they even included a drying rack for towels and suits. Beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water for showers, games and books and beach cart with two chairs. We loved the pool and while there were times of day it would be crowded, we never had an issue finding chairs or floats for the lazy river. The beach access bridge was great for making a safe crossing and I also enjoyed the gym-larger and more equipped than many resorts I've been to. The views were stunning, location was convenient and we appreciated how much quieter and less busy Fort Walton was compared to Destin. We reported two minor issues and they were immediately responded to-the texting option is so nice! What put my review to a 5 star was their response to a random request we had-two of our grandson's toys ended up on the balcony below ours. When I called I was told that unit wasn't managed by the same company so I'd planned to wait until morning and call the HOA. A little while later they called me back and said they'd done some digging and found the management company and discovered the owner was staying in the unit-they coordinated with them to get the toys returned. We appreciated that so much! I'd definitely stay here again.

Amazing Stay on Okaloosa Island

This was our first time visiting Okaloosa Island, and my family had a wonderful week at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort. The condo had enough space to accommodate all of us and it was fully equipped with all the necessities needed for a week-long stay. We loved the large patio with the serene water view. The pools and lazy river were a hit with my six-year-old. We liked that we had a smaller pool right next to our building and the lazy river pool area was a short walk from us. We also enjoyed the easy access to the beach - just a short walk over the bridge that connects the two properties. Definitely get to the beach early to reserve your chair and umbrella because they filled up quickly. The beach was great, the only downside was the chair/umbrella rental company takes up the prime spots. I have visited many beaches in Florida, and this beach cannot be beat. The check in process was a breeze and there was always indoor and outdoor parking near the building. The resort is close to restaurants, Publix, the Boardwalk, miniature golfing, and Gulfarium Adventure Park. My son had a blast being part of the dolphin show there (reserved online ahead of time). The property manager was amazing! My son left all his Nintendo Switch games in the unit after we left, and she mailed them back to us the very same day. Overall, it was a wonderful week with unforgettable memories. If you are like me, and look at a million properties before choosing one, then you will not be disappointed.
