I grabbed this one so we could have a Mountain view when we woke up, and it does. Bears on the first day, wildlife everyday around us, and the scenery and the comfort inside was amazing. Love the game room the multiple decks and couldn't be happier.

Really nice Cabin for the price. Not far off Ski Mountain Road and 5 minutes from Downtown Gatlinburg. Great view and the open window side was nice to wake up to. Little bit hard to get in and out of as its at the end of the dead end road, but still not a big deal. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

Thank you so much for your kind review. We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the cabin, the views, and the easy access to Ski Mountain Road and downtown Gatlinburg. Waking up to that open window side really is something special. The drive at the end of the road can feel a bit tight at first, but I’m glad it wasn’t a big deal for your stay. We’re so happy it made the perfect weekend getaway for you.

Overall, this was a nice place to stay. Plenty of room and nice decor. View was great and had lots of privacy. Even though some things had been remodeled, there were other things that could stand to be redone. For the most part, the facility was clean - bathrooms, especially. There was some dust and cobwebs in places.

Thank you so much for staying at Smoky Mountain Highlander and for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the spacious layout, the décor, the beautiful private views, and the overall comfort of the cabin. I appreciate you noting both the updates and the areas that could still benefit from improvement. We’re continually working through upgrades, and feedback like yours helps us prioritize what will make the biggest impact for future guests. I’m also sorry for the dust and cobwebs you noticed in a few places. While we’re pleased the bathrooms were in great shape, the rest of the cabin should have reflected the same level of cleanliness. We’ve addressed this with our cleaning team to ensure more thorough attention during turnovers. We’re grateful you chose to stay with us and hope we can welcome you back for an even smoother experience next time.

Enjoyed our stay, had fun teaching my Grandson to play pool. Nice hot tub, but only used one time. Everything we needed was there. Also enjoyed a few bear sightings, none were too close for comfort, but close enough to see good.

Overall had a great stay. Great views and a few furry guests. Plenty of room for the whole family. The only issues we had were that some of the dishes were either dirty or in poor condition, some kitchen essentials were missing (any kind of storage [tin foil, plastic wrap, etc.], and antibacterial hand soap), and generally the cleaners seemed to have done a mediocre job (dust and cobwebs all over, mildew in the shower (especially in the window), and a couple other things).

Thank you so much for choosing Smoky Mountain Highlander and for sharing your experience. I’m glad to hear your family enjoyed the beautiful views, the spacious layout, and even a few furry visitors during your stay. I’m truly sorry, though, for the areas that didn’t meet expectations. The condition of the dishes, the missing kitchen essentials, and the cleaning issues you described are not the standard we aim to provide. Your feedback is incredibly helpful, and we’re already addressing each point with our cleaning and restocking teams. The dust, cobwebs, and shower mildew are being handled immediately, and we’re reinforcing our quality checks to ensure future turnovers are much more thorough. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know, and we’re grateful you still had an overall great stay. We’d love the opportunity to welcome you back for a smoother, fully polished experience next time.

Private home with lots of trees. We saw bears every day, which was a treat for us folks from Texas. We enjoyed the hot tub. The beds were comfy. The 2nd bathroom is for baths only - no shower option, so the four of us had to use the one shower downstairs.

Thank you so much for staying at Smoky Mountain Highlander and for sharing your experience. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the privacy, the peaceful wooded setting, and those unforgettable daily bear sightings—always a special treat for guests visiting from out of state. We’re also glad the hot tub and comfortable beds helped make your stay relaxing. Thank you for noting the bathroom setup as well. The upstairs bathroom does have a tub-only layout, and we appreciate you mentioning it so future guests can plan accordingly. We’re always looking for ways to make stays smoother, and feedback like yours is truly helpful. We’re so glad you had a wonderful visit and hope you’ll return the next time you’re in the Smokies.

Very nice day at a very nice cabin at the top of a hill. The driveway can be a little intimidating initially, but it's workable! The views from the cabin are totally worth it. The beds are very comfortable and everything was nice and clean. Rebecca was a great host, and answered questions for us very promptly. Overall a very nice way to visit the Gatlinburg/SM National Park area

Rented cabin for four days-my sister-in-law & myself for a girl's getaway. Has everything you need for a great, relaxing stay. Accessing the cabin was so simple, host was available on a moment's notice if there were any problems & there was only one. Had an issue with the tv, one phone call & problem solved. Yes, it was due to my ignorance but host was kind & understanding & walked me through. Lots of room, beds were very comfortable, the views from the deck are beautiful. Plenty of seating; inside & out. It has all the amenities of home & just makes you feel at ease. The drive up to the cabin was a bit intimidating but this 72 year old handled the drive every day we were there. Do wish we could've been there a little later in the fall, all that foliage turning colors would've been absolutely amazing. I highly recommend & hopefully next trip we can schedule our trip for nature's fall show.

The house was excellent. The back deck looked out over Gatlinburg allowing us to watch the tram on Ober mountain. Being at the end of the road, we had minimal distraction from neighbors. I would imagine the view with the leaves changing would be indescribable. The dining table provided us with a great amount of space to play games. We were able to communicate with the host very easily. Ease of access to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and downtown Gatlinburg was absolute perfection.
