3 BR 2 Bath Salt Air Retreat on Deep Water Canal Minutes to the Gulf

We use this house for friends and family so you will find it has all the amenities throughout. Three bedrooms to accommodate 6 people and a pull out sofa with powered air mattress for 2 more. Master with one King bed and en-suite bathroom. Two bedrooms with Queen beds share a full bath with tub and shower. The street is very quiet and has no through traffic. The canal out back has no through traffic either so the only boat traffic is from residents. I keep my boat on the lift so it is not available to tenants, but the floating dock is secure enough to tie up to if you don't mind your boat being in the water during your stay. There is power and water available on the dock. We do have 3 outdoor security cameras. One is focused on the boat & lift out back, one is covering the carport and one is located on the boat. You can see the listing pictures for an image of what areas are covered. The video storage device is on the property. Video is removed/deleted every 30 days. There are several restaurants and bars within a short bike ride or walking distance. Hudson Beach too is within walking distance. The main through roads in the neighborhood have sidewalks. Its a fantastic place to enjoy a quiet getaway.
I encourage you to look at the reviews from my guests and compare to reviews of other properties. The local sales tax on short term rentals is 12.00%. If you are looking at booking a property for less than 6 months I am required to charge you sales tax.

Amazing Vacation Location

Salt Air Retreat is a wonderful facility. It has been completely renovated - with Brand new appliances, furniture (except for a couple of family antiques), cabinetry, etc. It was IMMACULATELY clean and refreshing, my wife is very fuzzy about cleanliness. Everything was fully equipped. Everything was very comfortable and refreshing. Kees is an amazing host - who could not have been more accommodating and helpful. I recommend everything about the home. Being about to sit out along the waterway was beautiful and restful. Especially great if you are a boater. HEARTILY recommend this for your next vacation,Dick Emmons

Saltwater stay

The property was clean and well stocked with beach items and the kitchen had everything we needed. The property was entirely accessible from front to back canel. Loved sitting on the canel side patio for meals!

This is an amazing property. Boaters piece of heaven. 10 minutes you are in the Gulf. Host is amazing, there to help with anything we needed. Very clean and comfortable with everything you need. Can't wait to come back to this amazing property.

Our favorite vacation property!

I believe this was our 3rd time staying here and it was just as wonderful as prior visits. Owner is extremely communicative and accommodating. The home is beautiful, located in a quiet neighborhood, with many thoughtful touches inside for guests’ comfort. We will continue to stay here whenever we can!

Family scalloping weekend

We had a great stay for a long weekend. The home was lovely and just right for our family. It was cozy and nautically decorated which was charming. Beds are comfy which is sometimes hard to find. Kitchen is super stocked which was nice. We really enjoyed the water view from the tv room. The owner is super friendly, helpful and accommodating. We’ve stayed at a variety of places over the years and we would come back here again.

Spacious, clean, and hospitable

This was a great location for my family’s summer getaway. The house has plenty of room, it is impeccably clean, and the owner/manager is very responsive. The nearby beach was closed for swimming due to red tide, but the house is only about 45 mins to 1 hour away from Clearwater Beach and Honeymoon Beach, which were open and beautiful. I highly recommend this house for anyone visiting the Tampa area.

Absolutely amazing

We stayed over New Years weekend. Absolutely beautiful home! We sat on the dock and watched fireworks. Homeowner was very quick to address any questions that we had. This home absolutely felt like home away from home. 10/10 recommend!

AWESOME!!!

My family and I spent a whole week at this property and loved every minute. The house has everything. So clean and relaxing. Sit out back and enjoy the peace and quiet. Grill is clean grounds are well maintained and love the shower. If you forget something I am sure it will be in this house. Thanks for a great stay!!!

Great spot, very close to the gulf

We really enjoyed this house. Very clean and well equipped. The ice machine was very convienent. The owner was very responsive and friendly throughout the rental process. The neighbor across the street gave us a great tip regarding 'redneck island' which was about 10 miles south from the end of the channel. It was a beautiful beach that you can anchor your boat up to. We spent a lot of time there. Local marina was helpful and friendly. Loved the area and location of this house!

Exceptional Hosts

My family stayed at The Salty Retreat for Spring Break 2021 and had a wonderful time, despite the weather. The hosts made the trip!!! Their home was stocked with everything needed, as well as any extras you may not have thought of. It was cozy and super clean. The neighborhood is quiet and has several local good places to eat and we made a daily trip to a tasty ice cream shop. It is close enough to Clearwater and Tampa for sight seeing but far enough for some good old relaxing with a nice fire pit on the canal/ocean. We also kayaked at the "Salty Dog" Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park which was so absolutely beautiful. We would highly recommend this home and are hoping to come back.

Clean, relaxing, and convenient

Great 3/2 Home, comfy master bed, and very, very clean. Easy parking and close to some very good restaurants. The floating dock worked great for our deck boat. It takes only 5-10 minutes to get to the dock from the boat ramp and even less to the gulf for fishing and great sunsets. We also saw a dolphin jump out of the water right in front of the dock. We've stayed in other canal homes and would sometimes see a fin or breach, but this one jumped completely out to the water! We definitely recommend this home if you are looking for a nice, clean place on the water to relax.

Perfect Spring Getaway!

The property was exactly as presented on the VRBO site, and the owner/manager could not have been nicer. Since we arrived late in the evening, we declined meeting in person with the owner/manager, but he was constantly available via phone. The house and property were extremely clean and very well appointed, there was nothing else that could be asked for! We enjoyed the immediate area of Hudson, and ventured out to Tarpon Springs, Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg, all within about an hour's drive. There are many Publix, Wynn Dixie, and Walmarts in the area for provisioning and general shopping. If we return to the Tampa area again, we will certainly look into renting this house. Hudson Retreat is a Treat

Nice clean, spacious home on a quiet canal. So nice to be able to dock our 16' skiff right behind the house- minutes to the Gulf for fishing, boat rides, and to a few restaurants. Also fished (and caught) off the dock, frequent visits by resident snowy egret, great blue herons and a wood stork. Owner and neighbors shared local fishing knowledge. House is well equipped. Bed was comfortable. Owner checked in to see if we needed anything. Convenient location for day trips to Tarpon Springs, Weeki Wachi, Homosassa or Tampa/St. Pete or you can park the car and use the bikes to get around the neighborhood. Beautiful sunsets, too! :-) :-) Spent 21 nights and wished we had some more time to spend there.

Happy In Hudson

My husband and I loved our months stay in Salt Air Retreat and in the town of Hudson . The house is so cute ! It was clean, cheerful and comfortable, with a fully equipment stocked kitchen and lots of bath and kitchen towels. I had asked the owner, Walter if there was a place to hang some clothing that I didnt want to dry in the clothes dryer. He brought a clothes tree type hanger for me to hang my clothes to dry. What a nice guy ! My husband and I could look out the many windows in the rooms in the house and see the water in the canal. It was great ! We wanted to stay again next year but someone beat us to reserving it, darn it. We highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a very nice place to stay, a real "home away from home". Thanks Walter

A Little Bit Of Heaven in Hudson

We have traveled and rented places in Hudson for years but this is, without a doubt, the nicest place we have ever stayed in. When you enter the house, you feel as though you are entering a home rather than a rental. The home is fully equipped with new or almost new appliances. The place is immaculate. In fact, they even have an I-Robot that comes out every morning and cleans the floors. There is also an automatic room deodorant that sprays throughout the day to freshen the air. The entire house is tastefully decorated in a casual nautical theme. It is located on a canal in a very quiet neighborhood. There is a table and seating for six on the outside patio with a gas grill. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. We would readily rent this home again and recommend it to everyone. Unfortunately for us, it is already rented next year for our time spot.

Absolutely awesome

Stayed in many rentals, this one tops them all. The place has everything you need, is super clean, on a quiet street, comfortably accommodates 8 for both sleeping and dining. We brought our boat and were able to keep it right off the floating dock. Just a quick shot out to the channel and the gulf. Boat ramp at the park also just a few canals away. We brought our 3 grandsons and they had tons of fun. So much to do. They did not want to leave Weeki Wachee with the slides and the springs, and the Aqua park is just minutes away. A nightly trip to the ice cream shop was a routine. And finally a bit about the owner. He is the best. We talked the day before our arrival and he spent alot of time answering each and every question. He met us upon arrival, and walked us through the property. During our entire stay, he quicky responded to any questions we had. "Kees" is awesome, truly interested in making your stay the best anyway he can. A pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend this place, we are looking forward visiting again!

Why they chose this property

I love to fish and have a 30 ft Grady White Marlin fishing boat on the lift behind the house. This property gives me what I considered one of the best locations for Gulf access of any other properties in the area. Convenient to get to the marina for gas or just get out quickly with very little idle time. The house is on a VERY quiet street with the best deep water canal in Sea Ranch.

What makes this property unique

My wife is what makes my property unique. She insists there always be nice Towels and Linens. When we stay at other VRBO properties the Kitchen cookware is almost always a disappointment. We make sure you wont be disappointed when you cook here.
