The inside of the property is spacious and remodeled nicely and looks just like the pictures. What is not shown on the listing is the outside or the neighborhood, and for good reason. We arrived to the grass being a foot tall, (mowed after we left property as shown in pics) the building next door (within a few feet) is a burnt out shell and many homes in disarray. Within 20 minutes of arriving, we had a person yelling and swinging punches at no one outside the front door, and a car drove up and looked into our cars. Needless to say with grandchildren, we left within an hour of checking in and rented a hotel for the weekend. We were not going to stay there after dark. Host refused refund due to nothing being wrong with the property itself even though it was clearly not acceptable rental for a visiting family. Heed warning and look more into the area prior to making reservations.

Loved the house and little extras included like snacks and drinks. Lots of nice renovations have turned the place into a beautiful little secret gem in the middle of an older but convenient neighborhood to downtown. Will definitely be staying again!

Beautiful Historic house

We stayed in this beautiful historic 2-story home in St Louis, MO for a week. Very nicely decorated, furnished and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The carport with garage door was a bonus. Owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. The area was an older part of town they are refurbishing, but we felt safe and liked the historic structure. Would recommend if you are visiting St Louis or any of the surrounding areas.

She was super sweet to allow us to check in 1 hour early. But the house needs deep cleaned and painted. The shower in the master needs fixed-floor tile broken and shower door doesn't shut closed. It was obvious that the previous people had smoked. Floors were super sticky/dirty.
