Cozy Clean and well maintained beach front home located on South Dakota's 4th largest lake! Great retreat for relaxing, family fun, boating, fishing and hunting. We provide all your necessities you just need to show up and enjoy your stay.
We have our home professionally sprayed for bugs, spiders, mosquito's and may flies. Unfortunately May Flies are very annoying. They typically are only around in May. Wanted to be upfront so you are away of these pests! This is around the entire lake for all to deal with (:

This was the perfect cozy cabin for a girls trip with my sisters and cousins. Slept 7 adults comfortably! Everything we needed was there. Close to the lake with a nice beach area. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

This house, and location, were perfect for our holiday get-away with our son, daughter-in-law and 3 grandchildren. It was well stocked with anything and everything you could think of. We thoroughly enjoyed our lake time and would definitely rent here again!

Felt like Home

This beach home is cozy and spacious ! Located right on the lake in a small lake front community, you have full access to water activities, relaxing on the beach, paddle boarding/kayaking, sitting on the dock, watching the ducks, pelicans and sea gulls - endless possibilities! The host has the home stocked with EVERYTHING you could need - beach towels, indoor games, toiletries, an abundance of kitchenware and basic cooking supplies, binoculars, extra space heaters.... Lisa, our host, was so responsive to every need we had during our stay. There are cute little bar/grills within a quick drive, grocery stores too ! I highly recommend this property - a great find !

Absolutely AMAZING stay!!

We had such an amazing time during our stay! The house was so nice, clean and beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities of home (even Wi-Fi and Directv). It was absolutely perfect!! Anything we needed was there. Lisa was such a wonderful and generous host. She was so easy to communicate with and was available for anything we needed. She even surprised us with a 4th of July gift basket! There was a storm that was predicted to roll through one day, and she made sure to stop by to make sure there wasn't anything we needed, and even gave us an extra space to store our numerous lake floaties so that we didn't have to deflate them in preparation for storm. (Side note: There is a storm shelter under the house. We didn't ever need to use it, but it was a great comfort to know it was there.) The location was absolutely perfect. There is a nice grassy area right off the deck (that we used for playing yard games and sitting around the fire pit) and then at the edge of the grass there are a set of stairs that lead you down to access the beach and lake. (The stairs are very sturdy with a nice handrail on each side.) They also have a dock as well. We rented a pontoon for a day and loved having the option of docking it right at the house. We had such a wonderful trip and made some great memories. We are very thankful to have found this "gem" on beautiful Lake Poinsett. We can't wait to come back and stay again soon!

Fun place!

My high school girlfriends and I get together at a lake every summer and we LOVED staying at Lisa’s place. Great set up and layout of house. Everyone loved the beds because they were so comfortable. She has basically everything you need (great towels and bedding!, plus fully stocked kitchen, games!) I would recommend getting a cordless stick vacuum for the floors as they can get pretty sandy with the beach, and it would be nice to be able to get that cleaned up quickly so it doesn’t end up all over the house. We would definitely stay at Lisa’s again. We also had great neighbors!

Great Experience

We had an absolutely great time! The rental itself was really well laid out with everthing well stocked and really nicely decorated. Has a very home like feel. There is a yard for games with the kids (games provided with the rental) along with a sandy beach which the kids thoroughly enjoyed with their floaties. There was no reason to seek out any other entertainment. Our hostess was fantastic and would highly recommend staying here. I'm sure we will go there again.

Our furry family consists of Nugget our Shih Tzu the oldest who is 4, Betty our 1st Golden Retriever who is not even a year yet and full of love and energy. And last but not least, Archie our daughter's Golden Doodle. Nick name is Clifford the Big Red Dog.

Why they chose this property

This Cozy beautiful home has been ours for almost 20 years. Has completely been renovated from top to bottom. We added a crawl space for in the event there happens to be bad weather. Open up the trap door in the pantry! Chairs and flashlights all ready for you in hopes that you won't need them. Before every season we replace all bedding and new towels to keep our place fresh and top of the line comfort and clean.
