Relax (or sleep) on the enclosed front porch, cycle the Eastern Trail, head into town to discover the historic pier and boardwalk, or use the bridge in the backyard as a shortcut to the beach. ABOUT THE COTTAGE

Step up to an enclosed front porch with a queen-size futon and wicker seating—perfect for sipping morning coffee or evening cocktails.

Inside the quaint coastal cottage, a queen sleeper sofa invites you to kick back in the open living area and watch a 48” wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Charming nautical décor adorns the light-blue paneled walls.

The all-white kitchen with full-size appliances is stocked with all the cookware and dishes you’ll need to dine in. Gather the group to enjoy home-cooked meals around a wood dining table set for 4.

Retreat to a master bedroom with a queen bed, calming blue-and-white decor, and an en suite bath with standing shower. Unpack your bags in the bedroom closet, and make yourself at home.

THE LOCATION

You are in the heart of Old Orchard Beach. Stroll along the shops and cafés that line Old Orchard Street. Bring the kids to the beachfront boardwalk, amusement park, or historic pier extending nearly 500 feet out over the Atlantic Ocean.

Cycling enthusiasts will love the proximity to the Eastern Trail, a 65-mile section of the East Coast Greenway connecting Casco Bay and Kittery.

Property is cute and clean. I would stay again. That said, the futon in the porch needs to be replaced it is filthy. Also if AC is on andbuou run the microwave the breaker trips. Every time.

Great spot

You can tell from staying at this little cottage that the owners take pride in making sure the place is clean and that the place feels as though they are at home. It was the perfect place for our little getaway. The cottage was in a great area tucked away behind another beautiful home and next to an adorable pond area. The location was also great for walking down to where the beach is and main strip. Id say about a 20 minute walk with minimal turns. Overall, we are very pleased with this cottage and highly recommend.

Intimate home in a very quiet neighborhood, 11 minute walk to the ocean

Very lovely place. It wasn't cleaned to our desires, but the management company was fabulous in taking care of it. We had a great time, nice walk to the beach for exercise. We would stay again.

Upon arriving and entering into cottage, my first reaction was to rent a hotel. The pictures advertised are not what it is in reality. The couches/ chair was old, the pleather on the arm rests of the chair were peeling, couches looked stained and well worn. The cottage had a stuffy musty smell to it. Had to find the breaker to the AC to get it going. Very small bathroom/ shower. Poor maintenance overall. I would not recommend this to anyone. We made it a point to stay out for the days because there was really nothing to be relaxed in the cottage about. Attached is a picture of the chair.

Great stay close to Portland!

We had a fabulous time here, it was the perfect place to stay for our mini getaway. It had everything you’d want/need for a weekend trip - kitchen, fridge, living room with cable TV, a queen size bed, bathroom. Everything was clean, however our only complaint was that we left food on the counter and work up to ants, which wasn’t warmer to us prior to our stay. We contacted TurnKey and they couldn’t have been more helpful, not only did they immediately respond but they came to clean/fix the issue by the time we got back. Overall we had a fantastic stay, would absolutely stay here again!!!

Awesome spot, quiet and great location!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this cottage. I would have rated it a 5 for cleanliness but discovered quite a bit of dust and dirt under and behind the master bed. As someone with super bad allergies this affected me a bit. We were also hoping for a bit more kitchen ware to cook during the week. Otherwise everything else was excellent . The property is quaint and very quiet. Can also walk down to OOB pier from the house or hop in the car and head to the beach in minutes. Would highly recommend!

Great location - needs to be updated

Very nice little cottage in quiet, private setting, but kitchen, bathroom and furnishings are all in poor condition. The shower and porch futon were gross - my wife wouldn't use either. This property really needs updating. Like other reviews, the wifi name/password info texted to me the day before was wrong. Luckily, someone left the correct info on the kitchen table.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family loves staying at this cottage. We've stayed here multiple times and always have a wonderful time. The cottage is very cute an has plenty of room for us to stay comfortably. Theirs a nice patio outdoors to have family dinner at. I'm only giving it four starts this time because of the lack of cleanliness. The tote of cleaning supplies where left out in the bedroom for us to put away. Both closets where left unlocked.The pullout couch had food crumbs on it. Luckily they left the closet unlocked and everything out. Otherwise we wouldn't of had a sheets for the couch. With this being said we love staying here but the cleaners need a refresh in how to properly clean.

Cute cottage a short drive from OOB, but Vacasa customer service made the trip a little tricky

Kitchen had everything you could need: grill, tongs, pots, pans, baking sheets, eating utensils, cooking utensils, coffee maker, coffee filters, cutting board, knifes, bottle opener, corkscrew, kettle, muffin tin, oven mitts, salt, pepper, cooking oil, flour, spatula, whisk, serving utensils, and more. Confusingly, when we reached out to Vacasa to see if they had the kitchen supplies we’d need during our stay, they told us the cottage would not have these things, so we packed a lot of cookware we didn’t end up needing. As we’d been warned was likely, we did blow a fuse when we used the microwave at the same time as the AC. It was very helpful that the hosts highlighted the location of the fuse box, but the fuses were mislabeled so it took us a while to get the power back on. I saw surprisingly few bugs given you’re in a little cottage in coastal Maine in the summer. VERY clean! WiFi did not work and I did not have enough cell service to troubleshoot with Vacasa beyond a first email sent from the beach. The instructions they gave me did not work. The fan in the bedroom worked great (I want the exact same one for my own home, actually), as did the AC. I did wish the hosts had left the windows open (at the very least, at least to the porch) before we arrived because the place was HOT after cooking in the hot sun all day with no ventilation. We did not use the living room TV or pullout couch during our stay, so can’t weigh in on those. You are much closer to the owner’s house than I realized when I booked. The driveway that separates the two buildings is about two cars wide, and then the house is right there. The beach is going to be about a 20 minute walk, at minimum, to get to the water. Not walkable with gear for a full beach day, but maybe so if you’re just trying to walk down to the main stretch of Old Orchard Beach for dinner & drinks. However, parking in that popular area was plentiful during our stay (though, cost money). Overall, enjoyed our stay here, but will probably not book anything with Vacasa in the future as I didn’t like having inaccurate info and not being able to communicate with the owners.

Beach cottage

The cottage is in a good location, central to Scarborough and Portland. That being said, the cottage itself is dated and could use some updating. There is heat but no air, and I would suggest putting a fan in the bedroom, as it gets stuffy at night. The bed is not very comfortable and neither are the pillows. I feel like it was overpriced for the value. The cottage was clean and in a quiet neighborhood with approximately a 5 min drive to the beach.

nice unit, good location, laid out well. Some hard to reach surfaces (under couch, floor near furniture, drawers, etc.) were not 100% cleaned. Turnkey was apologetic about this and offered to have someone come and re-clean. However, TurnKey was not flexible when we requested other things like changing our reservation dates.

Cute little cottage close to everything

The cottage is small, cozy and was a perfect place for our weekend getaway. The place was spotless upon our arrival and had a freshly clean smell. There is a beautiful fountain on the property that the owners light up at night. We live in central Maine and had tickets to the Kirk Minihane show at the Saco drive in. We wanted to stay in a place that was close to the show and close to many of the other amenities since we were staying for the weekend. This place did not disappoint. About a 3 min drive to the beach 10 min drive to the drive in and 15 min from the Maine mall. For being so close to everything this place is also very private. Would definitely stay here again.

Ants everywhere and not enough sheets

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Believe the previous reviews that have negative things to say - I thought they'd be resolved prior to my stay but they weren't. For the rate of this place, I expected a lot more. Is it a cute little cottage? Yes. It is close enough to be the beach to make it work? Yes. But...The ants were bad and before we realized their presence, so many of them had infested some of our food we had to throw away several grocery items we'd just purchased. They were in every section of the house and required vigilance to keep at bay; it was gross. Additionally, we planned to use all three beds, and there were only two sets of sheets. We finally got them to bring sheets on night two of our two night stay, but the sheets they brought smelled like mildew. Finally, the bed sags in the middle and the sofa bed is one of the worst I've slept on - in the middle of the night I folded it up and just slept on the couch itself with the mildew-y sheets. Of much lesser importance - you'll find only two wine glasses and one regular glass along with plenty of mugs. We obviously made do with the bad nights of sleep and the ant nonsense, but I wouldn't stay here again or ever recommend it as an enjoyable place. Possibly my worst AirBNB stay ever.

This was a first visit to Maine. The beach was great, the cottage was perfect, and the seafood was fresh - well worth the 6 hour drive from NYC. The pictures capture the place well. The property and outside space was clean and orderly. I recommend this property.

Old orchard beach

We had a great time at this cottage. There were 3 of us and it was tight but we all managed to fit! My only advice would be to have more towels. We only had 4 for the entire week. Other than that great stay!
