North Mountain Retreat

The cabin and area it is in is absolutely beautiful. The cabin has all the amenities anyone could ask for and the host was very responsive when we had a little trouble finding the place. It was our fault! The area is beautiful and extremely peaceful. It is very remote and further from Norwood than we realize. It’s about 830 minute drive in and out every day from Norwood. The road to the cabin is great with beautiful scenery. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting to get away from it all. Will definitely stay here again!

The stars at night are big and bright!

We really enjoyed this property. The cabin was clean and well stocked with everything that we needed. I must say that the pictures did not show the true beauty of the place. It was much better than we expected! We booked the cabin so we could get away from it all. And we did! The cabin is very secluded and we loved that. The stars at night are so very bright. Each day heading into Telluride we saw lots of wildlife. (turkeys, deer, and rabbits) During our stay it snowed. It was fun getting to play in the snow. You don't get that chance often when you are from Texas! You must know that the place doesn't have internet but does have direct TV. Don't let that stop you from booking this beautiful place. It is a perfect place to relax and get away from city life for a bit. We would definitely stay again! The host was very reachable and always attended to any question or need that we had.
