Beautiful home, well appointed, comfortable beds, little touches that made us feel like home versus a generic stay.

Creating a comfortable, thoughtfully appointed space—with cozy beds and special touches—is exactly what we strive for, so it’s great to hear that came through. We truly appreciate you choosing our home and would love to welcome you back anytime.
Host was super easy to work with and the house was perfect for our group ( 4 adults, 3 children). We skied 5 days at Schweitzer and the house is so close and covenant. Great hot tub, kitchen and game selection. Can’t recommend this house enough if you are skiing at Schweitzer.

William and his crew were fantastic guests! They came for their annual ski trip and took great care of the ski shack during their stay. The place was left in excellent condition, and communication was easy throughout. We’d happily host them again anytime.
We've skied and rented VRBOs all over the Rockies since 1984. This one was tops. The location featured the most beautiful view ever. The attention to detail was unmatched: furnishings, kitchen utensils, private hot tub, the linens, the beds, even the artwork all exquisite. Over the top. We hated to leave. The hosts were super easy to connect with, responsive, and answered all of our questions. We're already looking at 2027 with plans to come back to Schweitzer and visit The Ski Shack again. Highly recommend...if you couldn't tell.

Wow! Thank you so muck for those kind words, Mark! You and your team were amazing to host and looking forward to hosting you for your 2027 ski trip! All the best to you. Thank you so much for staying at The Ski Shack.
Absolutely amazing place to stay! The views are breathtaking and exactly like the photos on the website—if anything, even better in person. Every detail was thoughtfully planned with so many special touches that made us feel truly welcomed and at home. You can tell the hosts put a lot of care into creating a relaxing, beautiful space. We loved every minute and will definitely be coming back!
These folks should be commended for thinking of all of the little things. They provided a very clean, modern, well decorated, majestic, and perfectly furnished house for a mountain ski retreat experience. I’ll always remember the experience of sitting in the hot tub at night while the mountains howled and the snow danced like white flames in a forested snow fire. Our hair was frozen but our hearts were warm and bodies were hot. Great ski and snow vacation.

Thank you for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed your time at Schweitzer.
What a fantastic place to stay! The views are breathtaking, especially when soaking sore muscles in the hot tub after a day of skiing the beautiful Schweitzer slopes. The house is perfectly located in a quiet part of Schweitzer and yet it is close enough to walk to the main hub of the village. The house was a pleasure to stay in and was comfortable in every respect. The heating worked very well and the house hosted every amenity one could possible need. The host (owner), Ania, was amazing to work with and was very quick in responding to our many questions, since this was our first white Christmas ever. We arrived to a complementary basket of very nice goodies which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our time at Skishack, as the house is called, was truly wonderful and we look forward to returning there in the future.

About the host
Hosted by Ania Cassie
Our family travels the world. We have always stayed at other people's homes while traveling. Doing so allows for more unique and personal experiences, and many times, it's more comfortable than staying in hotels. We live in Spokane, and Schweitzer has been our favorite ski resort for years, so when the opportunity came, we build our own "ski shack". We love everything that the mountain has to offer during any of the seasons. We would love to share our place with other families and hope you will love it as much as we do. We take huge pride in our place- there has been a lot of work put into designing and building it. We ask that our guests treat the place with care and respect. Hope you will find it relaxing and inspiring. Happy traveling.
Why they chose this property
The house is located on the mountain, with gorgeous views, and close proximity to the lively center of the Schweitzer resort. During busy seasons, the location allows to slow down, unwind, hear the birds in the morning, and watch the stairs at night.
