We have created a peaceful, sparkling clean and private Studio Suite, including plush linens and stocked with over-the-top amenities. We provide all the basics and much more, like flashlights/lanterns, binoculars, beach towels, yoga mat, a small fridge stocked with a few bottles complimentary water, Keurig, coffee pods, creamer and sweeteners, toaster, microwave, toiletries including sun screen, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste and more.

Excellent home base

Great location and great hosts! Everything is spotless clean and hosts put in a lot of thoughts to make us feel like home 👍 Their complementary fruits, snacks and hot coca made our day for my daughter. It is close to great restaurants while it's in a quiet neighborhood. Jenni and David took my daughter and her friend to play and feed puppies they are taking care of. They just loved it. If we come back to hilo, we will definitely look up this wonderful place again.

Exceptional Service

Had a very pleasant stay at Jenipher and Davidʻs home. Jenipher communicated well and responded to all questions/concerns. The studio was fully stocked with amenities galore! Very clean, inviting and peaceful. I heard the coqui frogs at night but didn’t mind or lose sleep over it. Loved the interior local decor and cool relaxing colors. I was allowed to bring my cat too (I brought my own kitty’s supplies) which I appreciated very much!

Peaceful, Private Home Away from Home

We thoroughly appreciated this peaceful, private home away from home, which far exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, light-filled, had phenomenal ventilation, and was equipped with thoughtful amenities: refrigerator/freezer, hot plate, microwave oven, and coffee maker with all the fixings and snacks to boot. The kindness of the Hosts was so apparent in their lending to guests outstanding Hawaiiana reading material and maps, user-friendly cable TV, flashlight, ice chest, binoculars, beach towels, and dog food. Our outstandingly positive and stress-free stay at this special luxury suite, took the concept of hospitality to a whole new level. We applaud and thank our kind Hosts, and look forward to seeing them again soon!

Just Perfect

Jenipher and David were excellent hosts, the room was well equipped and the perfect home base for the two nights we spent in Hilo. Our first night, we arrived home and the sky was so clear we saw the Milky Way. Thank you so much for providing us a home away from home in Hilo.

Hilo Stay

Loved staying at Jenipher and David's hale. They were very welcoming and place was perfect for our 3 day stay. Not too far from town and it was quiet except for the coqui frogs at night - but you get used to it. I would definitely return. Mahalo!
