This is a great getaway place. We come down from Utah for our sister in-law’s 50th birthday surprise party. Most times we stay in bayfield with them but needed a place we could stay so we could surprise her. Thanks for a great quiet place.
It was comfortable and cozy. A little dated but clean!
Enjoyed the location being close the Vallecito Creek Trail, and at least while we were there (over Christmas) very quiet and very light traffic.
Cute cabin. Super clean. Great winter wonderland view.
Stayed in this tiny little cabin. We had a wonderful stay. Everything we need is there.
Didnt get to use the amenities ( ex: vid arcade etc ) but would be interested in coming back in summer..to see what the place has to offer in summertime.
Communication is excellent!
Very cute little cabin tucked away amongst the mountains. The warm Christmas lights really set off the snowy mountains vibes to come home too. Thank you for the kind man in the snowcat who directed us to our cabin, had trouble finding it in the dark. My partner and i both agreed we wanted to come back again in the summer.

Bathroom sink
I didn’t think to look so closely at the picture that the bathroom did not have a sink or an outlet. We used the same sink to brush teeth, wash hands and do dishes in a really small area.
Think of the needs of the older guests, no outlet did not allow us a night light plug-in for safety, we had to leave bathroom light on which was bright.
Sufficient for the night we were there, but don’t plan to use property again.

Hi Amy we are sorry for the troubles you had. We aim to please and hate to see reviews like this, however this is a small, one room efficiency cabin. We have tried to get every amenity we could squeeze into this space
Overall we loved the location and cabin we stayed at with just a few minor issues. First the PROS:
-Campground does not feel over crowded like others where RV's are packed in tight. While it was full, did not feel too busy.
-Very quiet during evening hours.
-Beautiful trees provide shade throughout the property.
-Amenities for kids like a small playground, basketball hoop, and other activities.
-Cabin was VERY CLEAN upon our arrival and everything was in good condition.
CONS-
-The cabin's driveway was off the main County Highway where cars sometimes drove fast, although it was not a super busy road.
-The website for Blue Spruce Campground stated that cabins have "great AC in the summer". While you don't usually need AC in Colorado, the week we were there it was VERY hot and we were surprised to find not all cabins have AC. The unit was very hard to cool off, although management did bring us a portable fan which helped for the rest of the time.
-On our last day the power was out from 10:30-4:30 while a crew was working on it. While I realize these things sometimes cannot be avoided, more communication would have been nice in regards to expected duration. The fridge started to warm up so we had to purchase ice to put in our cooler so our food would not spoil because we did not know how long the power would be out.
Overall we were happy with our experience. The property is close to the lake and we had a good time.
Property was everything I expected and more.. Fully stocked with everything you could imagine, from pots and pans to silverware paper towels sponges just about anything you would possibly need and anything they didn't have in the cabin They had available at the office. Wonderful experience highly recommended
We found the cabin a bit small and really missed having a sink in the bathroom. The fridge is small and we were disappointed to find the freezer had 2 inches of frost buildup.
Laundry mat was closed for the season when we arrived, cobwebs were throughout the ceiling, heater was loud, area was clean with a very calming environment. Vallecito Lake area was nice!
The place was very clean, be we did have a few concerns. First of all, there was only one sink in the. That means when you go to the bathroom, you have to go to tje kitchen sink to wash your hand. Also, it stated there was AC. There wasn't any. They did provide a fan though and that help. It also stated that they had WI-FI, it was of no use at all. Don't count on it if you need. Finally both bed frames had wheels on them that did not lock, so they would move all over the place. That all being said. The place was reasonably price and pretty close to the lake, which is really beautiful. I would definitely spend a few more dollars next time and get a bigger place.
