Large, beautiful apartment house "Granit", 5 storeys. In the district of Untere Matten 240 m from the centre of Zermatt, in a central, quiet, sunny position. In the house: lift, storage room for skis, central heating system. Supermarket, restaurant, bar 150 m, bakery 240 m, café 150 m, 5 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Wiestibrücke" 170 m, railway station "Bahnhof Zermatt" 240 m. Mountain railway, ski rental 240 m, ski bus stop 170 m, ski school 450 m, ice rink 240 m. Cabs cannot stop right in front of the house. The keys‘ handover takes place by the agency Interhome in Zermatt.
3-room apartment 65 m2 on 5th floor. Object suitable for 2 adults + 2 children. Comfortable and cosy furnishings: living room with TV, radio and CD-player. Exit to the balcony. 1 room with 1 double bed (2 x 90 cm, length 200 cm). 1 children's room with 1 x 2 bunk beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). Small kitchen (3 hot plates, oven, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, freezer, electric coffee machine, raclette grill, fondue Set (chinoise, cheese)) with dining table. Bath/WC. Balcony, south facing position. Balcony furniture. Beautiful view of the Matterhorn. Facilities: hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only.

My wife and I and two kids (12 and 14) stayed mid August 2026. This rental is a great find. Having 3 beds (one king, 2 bunks) was great. The apartment is very nicely sized with an almost comically small kitchen. The kitchen is small it has basically everything you would want (no microwave oven) and functions well. The master bedroom is quite large with A LOT of storage. The kids room is small, but living room is generous. The balcony is wonderful, and may be the best attribute of the place. There is lots of room and the view of the valley and the Matterhorn is spectacular. After a full day of hiking, we spent hours relaxing and taking in the views.I don't think one location in Zermatt is a much better than any other location. I would call this apartment's location very good. Its a short walk to the train station (arriving with luggage is pretty easy to deal with), very close to 2 grocery stores, close to the Sunnegga funicular, and Gornergrat train. It has easy access to the main street with shops and restaurants. Its 1.4km to the Matterhorn express lift, which would be difficult in ski boots but its easy in the summer. Owners don't supply soap for the shower or shampoo. Be sure to bring some.Towels and bedding were quite nice. The wifi worked well. Bring plug adapters if you are coming if you are coming from the Americas or Asia.This is a fantastic rental at a good price, especially if a separate bedroom with a bunk bed works well for your group. The views are amazing.

Ferienwohnung zentrumsnahe

Die Wohnung liegt super Nahe am Zentrum. Bahnhöfe-Einkaufsmöglichkeiten alles gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Wir konnten gut damit leben, dass die Wohnung nicht im neusten Zustand war und heruntergekommen wirkte. Was uns nicht gefallen hat, ist dass Einrichtungsgegenstände verschmutzt hinterlassen wurden, sogar Vogelscheisse auf dem Balkon wurde nicht weggeputzt. "Nachbarn" benutzten ihr Chemine und unsere ganze Wohnung roch nach Rauch, dies dauerte Tage, bis wir diesen Geruch wieder draussen hatten.

schöne, grosse 2,5 Zimmer Wohnung, etwas alt, die Fenster schliessen nicht richtig, in der Küche tropft der Wasserhahn und beim WC läuft das Wasser ebenfalls, das kann behoben werden. Die Küche ist extrem klein, obwohl es in der Wohnung sonst genug Platz hätte. Man muss wirklich alles mitnehmen. Doch wir fühlten uns sehr wohl, gute Matratze, gute Heizung, Lift, nahe vom Zentrum. Tolle Aussicht, wir waren im 5. Stock

Bien placé

Un logement simple, manquant quelque peu de charme mais bien placé. Un très mauvais point pour les coussins qui n'en sont pas. Il vaudrait vraiment la peine de les changer.

Haus Granit is perfect for a week with a young family

This is an excellent location for an apartment with nice sized rooms (excluding the kitchen), and a wide open view. It's within a 10-minute walk to 3 different train stations, and a bus stop, which made it easy to be on the slopes quickly. The apartment had an enormous amount of closet space which was a big plus. The main downsides were: the oldish/spartan furniture and the uncomfortable bed/sheets in the main bedroom; the dull generic building itself; and the handover of keys during check-in and check-out which is not convenient with luggage and kids. We would stay here again.

Nice location, great view, nice apartment

Overall it was great. Close to the train station, grocery store, main part of town. Excellent view of the town and the Matterhorn from the balcony. Apartment was large and well kept. The only two negatives were the very very small kitchen w/o a microwave, but since we didn't spend much time in the apartment that wasn't a big deal, and there is no clothes washer, which would be nice to have after a sweaty day hiking in the mountains. Key pick-up and drop off was pretty convenient. Overall one of our favorite apartments in Europe that we've rented.
