Amazing, low key, beautiful fauna and foliage. Enjoyed the daily visits to the coffee shop, had multiple meals at the newly opened onsite Gaia restaurant and loved our morning yoga on our lania. Tunnels is a quick 15 minute drive as are the botanical gardens and the coastal hike. The pool was warm and clean. Only thing needed was a blind that could open and close in the master bedroom and a second lamp as well for the second nightstand.

The property was located right next to the beach as listed with gorgeous views. The pool was easy to access and we were the only ones there when we went! It is a great location from Tunnels Beach, we were able to get there early and easily get a parking spot. The afternoon we checked in was humid so we pulled out the three standing fans in the closet, but only one worked. When we contacted the host number no one answered. When we tried a second time, someone answered, but we were told that since it was late on a Friday, 4:30 pm, that it was unlikely that the "housekeeper" would still be available to assist us. We were there till Tuesday, but no one ever stopped by or called us back about the standing fans. Thankfully all the ceiling fans were working.

The beach and ocean view and location was just amazing. It was fantastic listening to the ocean at night, and the location was only a few miles from town, but it felt like you were in a private paradise. The property was clean and beautifully apportioned. The pool was warm and very nice. The property manager checked on us several times. I would definitely return; it was just perfect and so enjoyable.

Quiet, beautiful location

The unit is described accurately. Plenty of amenities for our family’s 4 day stay. The beach provided spectacular sunrises and sunsets, even visited by the native monk seal.

Wonderful stay at Hanalei

A very nice laid-back area of the island. The beaches here are not swimmable but you are only footsteps from the ocean and the mornings are beautiful to see the sunrise from this location. Sandy Beach right outside of our lanai. Lawn chairs, umbrella and cooler are provided and there are grills available with refrigerators and sink at poolside.

Peaceful location

Wonderful location at the end of the road. Quiet and peaceful. The unit was one of the few with internet TV which was appreciated for evenings when we weren't playing cards. Pool and bbq area was wonderful. We really enjoyed the off/on rain during this time of year. You can't swim here, but Tunnels is only a few minutes away.

Great place for a stay in North Kauai

The property is as advertised. Being at the very northern tip of the island is amazing and having the restaurant onsite with access to the Pool/spa was very nice. Proximity to all of the northern beaches is a real benefit including the one steps from the back door. Thank you.

Summer Getaway

This was my first visit to Hawaii and it did not disappoint. We were looking for a location that was away from the crowds but close to great beaches. We also wanted to be close to the ocean for morning walks and to watch the sun rise. This spot is right next to Tunnels Beach (our new favorite) and some great hikes. This place checked off all the boxes.We are a family of 4 and had plenty of space in the condo. We look forward to returning next year!

Wonderful Location for mornings on the Beach

Perfect sized unit and creative configuration for families with very young kids. We made full use of the walk out to the sand every morning. Our two-year old was a big fan of watching the waves while throwing back some longans.

Dreamy beach spot

You cannot beat this place for location. Listening to the ocean waves at night (and the stars!!) was magical. We were perfectly comfortable with the unit and enjoyed the pool and mellow community. It is a bit of a drive to the places to eat in Hanalei, so best to cook your meals or commit to a bit of a commute.

Paradise

They don't lie when they say you are steps from the beach and you can listen to it all day long from the unit! The kitchen is awesome to be able to prepare meal and the this portion of the island is perfect for the island life with all the shops and restaurants but the small town feel and atmosphere that makes the location perfect!

Perfect Get-away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was amazing, just steps from the water. We wanted to feel like we were truly away and after 5 days staying there, we still had that “pinch me” feeling. We visit HI every year and I’ve lived there for several years as well. I was blown away at how awesome this spot was. Peaceful, water right outside our door, mountain back drop, friendly staff. Our kids demand we come back here next year!!

Great remote location.

Nice clean unit. Adequately stocked in kitchen. Bring your own soap and shampoo’s, not provided. Technically not oceanfront as advertised, but a beautiful view. You are close enough to hear and enjoy the waves. Beaches are awesome. Restaurant on site is open and food is good.

It's so nice to have the Opakapaka Grill open, and the little gallery where you can get coffee or chai :-) We're super puzzled about the "not ocean front" comment...it is totally ocean front with nothing between you and the ocean/beach except a little bit of grass. Walk to the corner of the building and you're at the beach. You can't get any closer to the ocean, unless you're staying in our I1 unit next door or you're on a boat!!! Soap is supposed to be provided, we're very sorry the cleaner forgot to stock that for you.
