Enjoy the peacefulness of El Cortez on Mustang Island, just three miles south of Port Aransas. This two-bedroom second-floor condo is nestled within the tropical landscape and offers all of the amenities of home. With marine life décor in shades of blue, the open living room is made up of a couch, loveseat, a TV and a sliding glass door to the balcony. The full kitchen is equipped with all things needed to prepare a meal with spacious countertops, white cabinets and appliances, a drip coffee maker, dishes, basic pots, pans and utensils. Sit down for meals at the dining table with seating for four and two additional stools at the breakfast bar. The master bedroom (BR1) contains a Queen bed, a Twin bed, a closet, a chest, a TV and a sitting area. The ensuite bathroom holds a tiled vanity and a tub/shower unit. There is also a full-size washer and dryer for your use during your stay. The guest bedroom (BR2) is comprised of a Queen bed, Twin bed, chest, closet and TV. The ensuite bathroom holds a tiled vanity and a shower. Take in the ocean breeze while sitting out on the balcony with your morning coffee or cold beverage. This complex offers a new golf cart accessible boardwalk to the beach. After a day of fun at the beach, cool off in the shared pool, or grill up snacks and dinner on the shared grills. El Cortez is just five minutes from Port Aransas offering a variety of restaurants, shops, nightlife and fishing charters.

The property was more dated than the pictures depicted. The inside needed some attention. The master toilet kept flushing on its own, which kept me up at night. The master bed was SO hard and didn’t breathe, so any part of our bodies touching it got hot. Gnats were present in the kitchen sink and found a roach in our room. The sliding patio door wouldn’t open. Not sure how you walk to the beach, but the clear path said no El Cortez visitors, so there must have been an alternate route.

Awful apartment

Not only the description wasn’t acurate, it says it was newly renewed and it wasn’t. All the metal parts in the house were more than rusty and all the kitchen drawers were old dificult to open and need painting. there wasn’t enougth dinning ware or cutlery and the existing one was so old and dirty. The bed sheets werent complete either and the bathrooms were really old and dirty. The neiborhood is lovely and property management really responsive.

This property needs work. Front door looks terrible, so first impression was bad. TV had a black line running through it and the ROKU remote wouldn’t work. Entertainment center had a broken shelf. Patio door wouldn’t open. One of the trim beds had a janky frame. Mattresses need maters covers. You feel all the fabric bumps on the mattress. Like a cat sharpened its claws. There was ONE roll of toilet paper for 2 bathroom apartment. Not that we would have gone thought it, it having a roll per bathroom is standard. Broke lamp you had to unplug to trim off. Outlet was behind a dresser. There was a nightstand in the master that had no outlet behind it. I pulled out on of the chairs at the breakfast table and a rods fell out of the chairs back. No coffee. Toilets will run if you don’t adjust the handle. Wanted to sweep up the sand we were bringing in, but there was no broom. It was just an overall unsatisfactory stay.
