About this property

Cabin B at Smith Lake Alabama Cabins

Free water trampoline and on property kayaks available to rent. There are 3 cabins available for rent on the same large lot that can be rented together for larger groups or individually. Cabin A sits on top of Cabin B (Duplex), and Cabin C is on the other side of the property. There are two large swim piers to share. Each cabin has 2 queen bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Please note, this is Cabin B.

Experience the beauty of Smith Lake from the large front patio that is level to the lawn and only steps out the front door to the water.

The lot is fully manicured and shaded, making it a cool place for kids to play and to take a break from the sun.

Jump in and enjoy the year round deep water from the 14x20 swim pier complete with a ladder and boat dock.

If your a fisherman, our fish are fed regularly and are easy to catch off the pier.

After a long day of playing, kick back and relax in this newly built cabin complete with new furniture, wifi, smart tv and a cozy updated cabin feel.

This cabin has 2 Queen beds, and one full sized futon.

Location is everything! We are located 5 minutes from Dodge City, 15 minutes from Cullman, 40 minutes from Birmingham, and 55 minutes from Huntsville.

The lake lot lays well -just walk through the yard to the piers walkway and you are on the water-you dont have to go down hundreds of steps to get to the water. We recently added additional parking at the road. Allowing easy access for 3 rigs with boats to back down into parking near the cabins and two additional rigs with boats to easily pull in and out at the entrance. There is ample parking for cars as well.

Too much to say in a review but very bad experience, left early was so bad. Keypad on front door didn’t work, bugs everywhere, no thermostat to control temp inside, furniture missing “pulls” on drawers, lightbulbs out, bad smells, sheets dirty, cigarette butts on patio, only four towels when five people were staying there, only had sheets for two beds so couldn't make up the futon, inside of refrigerator was dirty with dead bugs in it, no soap or supplies to shower with, half a roll of toilet paper in the house, moldy walls in bathroom, etc. Seemed as if it wasn't cleaned prior to us arriving. Not well kept, not serviced, not cleaned. Was very similar to camping which is fine if advertised as such, but was very misleading. Still waiting for the welcome email explaining what to do, how to check out, etc. Not stretching the truth, really just want to warn others.

The keypad batteries went dead. We quickly gave you the key. It is an authentic cabin in the woods. Not a luxury hotel. There are bugs in the woods. Nothing we can do about that. We have monthly pest control, but does not eliminate bugs and spiders that build webs every single night. The discolored wood in the bathroom is not mold. It is discolored wood. Hence the authenticity of it. Vrbo sent you the welcome guide 24 hours prior to check in with all instructions including toiletries, linens provided and where to find the extra linens. It also included contact information. This was sent to the email in your booking. Must be user error. Lastly, The home is thoroughly cleaned between each guest and our other guests absolutely love the cabins, especially B. With many guests raving about the cleanliness and quaint atmosphere. With only a few steps to the water, it is a rare gem. I personally inspected this cabin and after it was cleaned and was satisfied. Thank you Karen for your big city opinion of a small lakefront authentic cabin.

We stayed in Cabin B, the lower cabin overlooking the lake, and it was absolutely incredible. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with beautiful woodwork and large windows that offer stunning views of the lake and surrounding property.The cabin was spotless and very well-maintained, with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It’s also conveniently located just off I-65, making it easy to get to while still feeling like a peaceful getaway.The lake itself is known as one of the cleanest in Alabama, and you can truly tell—the water is clear and inviting. We loved having a brand-new gas grill, which made it easy and fun to cook out each evening while enjoying the view.The dock was in great condition and featured a fun inflatable water trampoline. You can also rent kayaks right on the property, and the dock is perfect for fishing.Inside, the cabin has been beautifully updated with attention to detail in the woodwork, windows, cabinets, and countertops. Check-in was seamless, and the property owners were very responsive, accommodating, and easy to communicate with.We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already booked our next trip! I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing, scenic lake getaway.

If you like being by the water, this is it. It is nice for a small family or a couple.The place is tight but that is expected for a 2Br 1 bath.This is the bottom unit. There is an upstairs unit so be ready for people walking upstairs.Things to be ready for:1. Make sure you ask for the hard key. Their electronic lock did not work for us. The battery died. 2. Communication with the host was OK. It was unfortunate for us the host was on vaca so the communication was not the best but we did resolved the issue.3. The Keurig still had a spent pod in it and the water was still in it from the previous guest. That should have been emptied for the coming guest.4. Their cleaner forgot to put a trash bag in the trash can. We had to go buy trash bags. They had none which is not good for any short term rental.5. They only provide 1 role of toilet paper, no extra. There should have been but they just don't provide it.6. The place does get cool eventually but cool air is coming out of the vents, not cold air. I know what 68 degrees feels like. They said it is set to 68. It is not.7. going down the dock is not the best. No stairs, steps. It is on an incline.8. Beds are not comfortable. if you have back issues.. this will not help.9. KAYAK rental... the host didn't control the previous guest. We rented it but we never got it at the scheduled time. That was very disappointing. The host gave our money back.Over all it is an ok stay.
