The house was great! Check in was easy. Host was responsive. Very roomy! The only thing listed wrong was that it is written as a three bedroom house, but there are actually four bedrooms! Queen room, full room, twin beds room, and bunk bed room. My family enjoyed our stay! Being right on broadway does mean you hear the cars going by, so it’s a little noisy, but it didn’t bother us. Very family friendly with all the baby toys, high chair, and pack n play!

Such a beautiful home! All of the rooms were perfectly clean. They have created such a great atmosphere, it felt like home away from home. Would absolutely book again!

Cozy, clean and warm

This was a perfect home for us to get together to celebrate Christmas/New Year. It had all of the amenities needed and we had a wonderful visit and made amazing memories. We highly recommend this property if you are planning a visit to Tyler.

NICE!!

Convenient to restaurants and downtown. Nice neighborhood. Home was very clean and inviting. Had everything you need to cook and even a few condiments in fridge. Host was accessible but we did not anything. The shower in the Master was amazing and double sinks were a plus for the girls. Would definitely stay again and I'm Really picky!

Great area - centrally located

Historic area and adorable house in a central location. It was just my husband and I but this would be the perfect place for a family get-away, very kid-friendly. It is on a busy street, but in a great neighborhood. We had a very comfortable stay!

Easy Vacation

The layout of the house is perfect for friends and family to vacation together. Great layout, kitchen eating area and workout room. No backyard and the driveway is not paved so muddy in wet weather. Other reviews say the downtown location of this house is busy but the house is quiet-we completely agree!

Weekend visit

My family and my daughter‘s fiancé came to Tyler to visit our daughter who works in town for the summer. We planned to celebrate her birthday weekend. The house, although being an old structure, seemed to very damp and stale. We didn’t feel like it was very clean, and felt we needed to wash most of the items before using in the kitchen. Lots of items need to be replaced or updated as they have been not so gently used. All of the bath towels could be replaced, same with the mattress in the master bedroom. Also, the location was fine, except for all the noisy vehicles we could hear throughout the night on Broadway. Yard was a little overgrown and there was some trash on the front porch upon our arrival.

Bad experience

We never stayed there, the house wasn't going to be ready until Monday. We were supposed to check in Friday, July 19th, the house was not ready due to damage done before us. We had to stay in a hotel for 2 nights, than left Tyler. He has only given a partial payment back

Cute Home But couture use a few upgrades

Home was very charming but could use some furniture upgrades, carpets replaced paint touch ups. Average supply of paper towels, trash bags would be nice and cleaning supplies. Neighbor was nice. Communication at first with host was difficult and Check in was not at 4 pm as stated. We were not able to get in till 5. Which being from out of town and that we flew in made us have to find something to do Towels still in dryer and had to run the dryer two more times causing towels to smell sour. Dish clean but still in dish drainer and dish washer.

Review of property in Tyler, Tx.

We found the property cluttered and unclean. Food left by previous tenants was still in the refrigerator, as well as opened bags of rice and sugar left on the counter, and the kitchen counter was cluttered which gave the impression of uncleanliness. Needless to say, we did not food prep in the kitchen. Bathroom linens were very worn. Broken bathroom tissue holders were left on the walls. Furniture did not "match" and no degree of consistent style was seen. Furniture also very worn. Beds in extra, unused bedrooms were bare of any sheets, etc. While we didn't use these rooms, the effect on the condition of the entire house was negative. In all, the house felt unkempt, tired, unclean, and uncared for. The noise from the street in the front of the house was loud and did not help us to feel safe or comfortable. It seemed that the very minimum amount of effort was made to provide any comfort to guests.

Disappointing

I was excited to see the good reviews and booked this property for my family’s Christmas Vacation for a week. Upon check in, the home smelled of dust and mildew and caused my relative to have an allergic reaction and asthma attack. After walking through the property we also noticed dirty/soiled bathroom and bedroom linen, dead insects in the window sills, dirty cleaning supplies out in the open, and takeout left in the refrigerator. The place looks good online but be aware the cleanliness and maintenance were not up to par when we checked in for this stay. Also, the owner and the property manager were not responsive to our concerns or VRBO staff outreach until after what would have been our final day of check out! So disappointed in this property that we didn’t even stay but ended up checking into a hotel. On a positive note, the check in process was seamless and the communications leading up to our stay were good and that is why I give it 1 star. I do not recommend.
