The house was as charming and clean as the pictures. Our group enjoyed our stay and would recommend this location to other groups.

We enjoyed the layout of the house and how cozy and welcoming it felt. It is a bit of a drive from Gardiner, but it backs right up to the park, so we saw alot of elk, and it was very quiet.
Awesome cabin, so close to Yellowstone and wildlife everywhere
Had a great time. Awesome cabin, big enough for a large family. Had everything we needed and then some. Owners were great and very responsive, would def come back
Overall the accommodations were perfect for our family group of 10! The views were beautiful, the Yellowstone Hot Springs & that route in/out of the location afforded lots & lots of wildlife viewing! The condo was quiet, cozy & we especially enjoyed the large kitchen & dining room and the game room. Being it was our 1st trip to Yellowstone, we didn’t really know how close it was to the National Park & so we struggled w/cell phone service & sending texts but definitely a place to unplug! My only suggestion for family groups, separate the queen beds and bunks & put one of each in each room so families can be together vs. couples having to share a room & kids having there own.
We had an amazing time. The location couldn’t be better — just a short drive to the north entrance of Yellowstone and right along the Yellowstone River, with beautiful mountain views in every direction. The house was clean, spacious, and well-stocked with everything we needed — from a fully equipped kitchen to comfortable beds and plenty of towels. We especially loved sitting on the porch in the mornings with coffee, watching wildlife right from the property (we saw elk and antelope nearby!). Evenings were peaceful and quiet, with gorgeous sunsets over the river. The host was responsive and helpful with tips about the area. It was the perfect home base for exploring the park during the day and relaxing in the evenings. We’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Yellowstone.
Ok, but thought it was a standalone house, but it was a downstairs condo. Bad smell came from vents when using heat in or AC. Very unpleasant. Informed owner but heard nothing
This cabin is awesome for a family wanting to enjoy Yellowstone! We used it as a home base for visiting the park or outdoor activities near Yellowstone such as horse back riding, rafting, hot springs, and fishing. The kitchen was exactly what we needed to get breakfast and coffee going each morning before a busy day. We cooked a couple of dinners as well but recommend Wonderland Cafe if wanting to eat out (Bison Ravioli was incredible.) We were able to take our rods and do some fishing close by the cabin (just a walk down to the Yellowstone River) without having to load up a car and drive to find an access spot. Didn’t see any bears but definitely brought bear spray each outing. We saw elk swimming, elk right outside the living room, and pronghorns in the driveway and of course in the fields near the cabin. The puzzles/games/shuffleboard table kept us plenty entertained after those long days at the Park. And of course the views outside the living room is incredible. I would highly recommend and would stay again!
A wonderful place for us to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Beautiful condo on the bottom floor of a 2 story building. 2 families downstairs had plenty of room for 8 (my wife and I were upstairs, renting from a different owner). Kitchen had everything to cook for all of us. The playroom was a big hit with the 4 grandchildren ages 6-10. They also loved the bunkbeds. View is spectacular, and the pictures don't portray how big the unit is. The location is close to the north entrance, which is much less busy than for example West Yellowstone. We could drive to the entrance and be into the park easily within 15 minutes, right through Roosevelt Arch and avoiding the main drag of Gardiner altogether. The northern part of the park isn't as busy, the road from Canyon up the east side is beautiful, as is the Lamar Valley. Beartooth Pass is spectacular. Granted, the road into town is gravel, but it is very well maintained (and I lived on dirt roads for years, none as good as this). An advantage of the road is that there is very little traffic and it is very quiet. Elk adjacent in the morning and lots of stars at night. We roasted marshmallows in the fire pit. And the 2 families rafted the Yellowstone right past the house and rode horses. Jen is a great host and offered good suggestions and kept us informed on what was going on.
We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful Gardiner home, and would highly recommend it. The house is large, spacious, and lighted, with beautiful and comfortable decor and accents, perfectly clean (down to the dishes), and every hospitality detail thoughtfully included, from coffee to cooler, and ample paper products and toiletries. Jen communicated regularly to welcome us ahead of time and offer assistance with grocery, rental car, etc., and was immediately responsive to questions during our stay, as well as with helpful checkout reminders.
My family loved the game room and board games, and one of my kids assembled two Yellowstone-themed puzzles, as well. The kitchen was perfectly equipped for our meals, and we will know to bring less next time, since it had everything we needed! Beds also comfy cozy.
My husband was not crazy about the dirt/gravel drive, but the rest of us looked forward to the bumpy ride, which came with amazing wildlife: abundant antelope, elk (plus babies), and ravens. We had long days hiking and exploring Yellowstone, and this lovely home was just the BEST to come back to and wake up in each morning.
We would stay again and for longer next time, and are grateful for the detailed care the owners have put into making this home the perfect getaway. In our prior VRBO, we showed up to find a boil water/E. coli notice on the door -- what a contrast to our exceptional and ultra-clean relaxing stay at Park's Edge Retreat.
Cheers - Thank you!
Great property! Located off the beaten path but only a few minutes from the park entrance. The home had a few neighbors but the way it was situated with a view out over the lawn and mountains in the background, it felt very private. There were often elk right out in the yard, too!
The home was well appointed and very spacious. The beds and bedding were comfortable and cozy - we took advantage of the dining room for many meals and loved having a washer and dryer and grill.
We loved all of the little surprises that were provided and made us feel very welcomed. Host was great communicator - very prompt and pleasant! We would definitely stay here again next time we visit the park!

About the host

Having a place out west has been a long time family dream of ours. We are so excited to have this opportunity and want to share it with others so that other families can experience the majesty of Yellowstone National Park and the surrounding beauty of Montana. We are from Michigan and love it there! This is a family affair for us and after facing a health scare in recent years, decided life is too short and along with other family members, we decided to take a leap of faith. We are excited to host your family for your Yellowstone and Montana adventure!
Why they chose this property
Our goal is to make this home exactly what comes to mind when you think about Montana and nearby Yellowstone National Park. Fully furnished with log beds, custom stone fireplace, artwork of Yellowstone. A dining room with live edge dining table for 12. We aim to have everything you may need in the kitchen with many small appliances, a coffee station with pot and a Keurig one cup maker. A grill on the private patio. A game room with shuffle board and fooseball table.
What makes this property unique
Property is over 2900’ ft so there is plenty of room to be together, yet relax in privacy. All on one floor, this home is handicap accessible with large bathrooms. One with a walk in shower and one with a tub to soak. The zoom room is the private office incase you may need to work remotely. Office is situated away from bedrooms so working won’t wake up the family. Large dining room seats 12 and is open to the kitchen to promote everything being together. Relax by the stone fireplace in the large living room with views of the nearby mountains (Electric Peak) and don’t be surprised to wake up and see wildlife right out the large picture window!
