Claire, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We value your feedback! We are so pleased that your family enjoyed a great spring break getaway at Sound Choice on Edisto Beach. We are sorry to hear that linen and cleaning protocols were a surprise. We include this information in the rental contract as well as the check-in reminder sent 7 days prior to arrival in hopes that guests will not encounter any surprises upon arrival. We hope to add the bed being made upon arrival to our property services in 2024, and we certainly don't want guests to feel that they must clean prior to departure as a professional departure cleaning is included on every reservation and completed at check-out. Below is the information included in all correspondence include on the refrigerator notice regarding check-out procedures for the properties that we manage: While standard departure cleaning is included in your rental rate, you are still responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the unit during your stay and other basic duties. These include sweep any excess sand/hair that may have accumulated during your stay - empty refrigerator – place all trash in cans provided outside of the home – no debris left in house, under house, on porches, or in yard – make sure no furniture or furnishings have been moved – wash and put away dishes –LEAVE ALL BEDDING NEATLY ON THE BEDS. DO NOT REMOVE SHEETS FROM BEDS. THIS WILL BE COMPLETED BY THE HOUSEKEEPERS UPON YOUR DEPARTURE. COMPILE ALL USED TOWELS ON THE BATHROOM(S) FLOOR(S). In completing these it greatly assists our housekeeping staff. If you would like to add a “wake-up-and-go” cleaning, please contact our office no later than 48 hours prior to departure to schedule.
