Perfect place for our family get away!! Clean and very roomy. The 2 separate areas made it easy for the kids to watch TV and the adults and younger children to be able to relax and talk. The river was clear and made for a great kayaking experience. Game room and deck were a hit! Close to store and restaurants!

Stay was great! Plenty of space for a large group of people. Clean and comfortable accommodations. Plenty of parking for 3 boats and 5 trucks total. Only down side is it’s a little dated and an older building. I would stay again.

The Waterfront was a perfect place for our family to gather. The ten of us had lots of room to spread out and the kids really enjoyed all of the games available in the lower level. Having two kitchens gave us lots of room for cooking meals and the large room was a great place for everyone to gather, play games and be together. The kitchens were well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. Kayaking and paddle boarding on the river was definitely a highlight. We would definitely recommend the Waterfront.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback — we truly appreciate it. The home is actually a historic property that was originally a general store, and we’ve intentionally preserved certain original elements to honor that history. There’s a full binder in the house that shares the story of the building and its roots in the community. While the home has been completely remodeled down to the studs with updated systems and finishes, we chose to restore and keep special features like the original shiplap in the former general store area and portions of the refinished wood flooring to maintain its character and charm. Our goal was to thoughtfully blend modern comfort with the unique character of the space. We’re grateful you chose to stay with us and appreciate you taking the time to leave a review.

Wonderful place for a large family or friends gathering. It is well stocked with most creature comforts, has plenty of space to spread out, and there is lots to do indoors and out. Owners were very responsive, and understanding (because something always comes up).

Cozy and comfortable

The property had plenty of amenities and was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The two kitchens made things extremely easy. TVs in the bedroom were very nice. And we had a great campfire. A few of the guys caught some fish on the river. Really nice place thank you.

Annual family trip

This place was perfect for our annual family trip. 3 generations, ages ranging from 6-65, enjoyed the house, the neighborhood, and the river! The house was stocked with everything we needed. So much room to spread out. The 2 kitchens came in handy for home cooked breakfasts and dinners. Los Magueyes came in handy for delicious lunches and margs! Rented a boat from Oconto Fun Rentals and it was great! Everything was PERFECT!

Lovely stay for all!

We could not have been more pleased with this home and its amenities! We had to be small maintenance issue (the dock slide was loose) which was immediately resolved with courtesy and ease. We stayed in early September and were able to enjoy both the outdoor and indoor recreation space. This is the perfect home for kids and adults. Plenty of space to spread out for everyone. Only note is it is close to main road and near railroad tracks. We would stay here again!

We had a GREAT time! We stayed here as a family of 20 with 4 adult couples and 12 kids (ages 18 - 4) for our Christmas gathering. There were lots of room(s) and plenty of TVs & entertainment/games for all of us to be completely entertained! The two kitchens were perfect to allow us to make our Christmas dinner and enough seating.for us all. We took an enjoyable walk to Copper Culture Mound State Park and through the Christmas lighted wonderland at Holtwood Campground, both of which were within walking distance. We would've had a winter campfire, but ran out of time! The place is charming and perfect for a large family/group. Summertime, with the river right in the back yard would be amazing and we hope to come back!!

In safe for small children

The property was not what i expected the inside wasn’t to bad the exterior of the property was very unsafe the dock was in poor shape and was not accessible for small children. It was also next to a busy highway

Hello Tarl, thank you for your feedback. You had proven to be a very difficult guest from the moment you checked in. Swearing and yelling at us because you did not follow our check in process and were frustrated. This property is not on a highway. This is a town of 4,000 people with a top speed limit of 25 mph. It is on the corner of two intersecting roads both with a speed limit of 25 mph. The dock is perfectly fine. We inspected it and it is in perfect condition. The safety parameters for small children is up to the parents. We lived in this house with our two little kids while we remodeled it and consider it safe, we have many large families that book and stay at our house throughout the year never mentioning this issue before but I am not here to say what is and isn't safe for someone else's kids. All I can say is that this house is on a single floor, we have a large game room built for families, we provide kids toys/ books and pack and plays and high chairs all to accomodate infants, toddlers and kids at the property.

We had a large family group of 18 with plenty of sleeping room and areas to hang out together. Enjoyed ice-cream just a couple blocks away, mini golfing, coffee shop and a short drive where we docked our boat. Spent a day at the beach as well which was close. We found most everything we needed at the house for cooking. There was ample parking space and we all enjoyed the games in the basement area. Would recommend staying here with your large group. Everything was clean and neat and we found the history of the building very interesting. Thanks for your hard work on the building providing a great family get-away for us.

Wonderful home!

We rented this property for a bachelorette party. The host had amazing communication, the property is just as listed if not better! Fully stocked kitchen, towels to use, so much space. The place is SO CUTE, and easy to navigate, many bedrooms and outdoor space. We had an amazing time and are so happy we chose to stay here!

So much space and seating. Clean and modern, Had a large party of people and We always had enough space. River is Pretty clean, had no reservations swimming in it. Owners were on top of everything and had everything we could ever think of. Would absolutely stay here again.

Family Reunion

Coming from San Diego, Houston, Chicago & New York our family of 15 thoroughly enjoyed Oconto and this home. It was the perfect size, and had all the amenities we could ask for and more. We enjoyed fishing, paddle boarding, floating, and most of all the basement. The hosts were super accommodating and were quick to answer any of our needs. Would highly recommend this place for large families or groups so you can rent both places. I personally wouldn’t want to share the space with someone we didn’t know.

Riverside Getaway

An amazing home for a large or small group. The home was clean with every amenity you could need. You can fish right out the back while having a fire, play games in the basement, or enjoy the deck. The owners are extremely nice and helpful when needed. Overall a 5 star experience!
