This was a perfect place for a cozy weekend. We really enjoyed relaxing in the woods, and loved the multiple options for movie-watching! The whole house is expertly decorated as well. We hope to come back!

House was awesome! I couldn't believe that in all the rooms you’ll find a spare blanket, full length mirrors, and even a fan!! My husband loves sleeping with a fan and normally on trips he has to use the app and hates it, this was a game changer. Thank you for thinking about the “small” things that make a stay away from home so comfortable.

Such a warm fun place. Clean and family friendly. I had the best night sleep I’ve ever had in years while staying here. I haven’t been able to sleep in for about 4 years and the bed and pillow was so comfy and the rooms stayed so dark that I finally accomplished a long sleep. The tiki room was awesome with so many different board games to play. It was a perfect place to stay during our yearly adventures to Maris farms. Made some great memories this year thank you.

Amazing house

A Few of us stayed here after a conference at Muckleshoot casino. Everything about the experience was top notch the house has everything you need for a stay, beds incredibly comfortable, local to many stores, and just a great place to hang out and socialize or use as a home base for day outtings.

We really enjoyed this fun mid-century mountain house. The details were spot on and the owners couldn't have been more gracious. The only regret we have is that we weren't able to spend more time there.

Thank you for your feedback. Although, we have over a dozen lights surrounding the hot tub, they are solar powered and when you visited, they hadn't fully charged due to the weather. But we appreciate the feedback and we will be purchasing electrical lights for that area for future guests to use. Thank you and we hope you get to visit again in the future!

Perfect choice!

This was the perfect place for a group of five friends who flew in for a wedding. There was plenty of room, the house was in a great location, and the owners did a wonderful job of creating a fun retro vibe with attention to even the smallest details. Great house!

We enjoyed our stay so much at the Mid-Century Mountain House. Our only regret was not using the house to its fullest. We were only there for a long weekend, and most of our days were jam-packed with family gatherings at other homes in the area, so we didn’t get a chance to use all the house had to offer! It was the perfect size for two families, and our 8 year old son loved the hot tub, and putting on vinyl records every morning. The decor was in total alignment with their theme, and we truly enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend staying here when in Bonney Lake! We have already shared the listing with friends and family.

60's TV show feel with modern day class

I don't think our words could ever fully express what a great place this is and the owners are Super good! Our kids loved the welcome basket with retro candies in it. the furniture was very 50/60's look but very comfortable. The Tiki Room was a hit! The beds were super comfortable. The communication with the owners was very good and they were very fast to reply and truly helped us to accommodate our needs the best they could! The neighborhood was VERY quiet and that's what we really needed after our hard day of events.. Next year when we come back for the event we attended we will truly hope this place is available!

Funky house with lots of charm

We stayed at home for a local wedding, so we only spent a little bit of time on location. It was well placed near Kelley Farms for the wedding and conveniently located. We were very fortunate to be able to check in early due to an early rehearsal. Unfortunately, it wasn't very clean. The floors were sticky and dirty, and the guest bathroom shower curtain had significant mold. Otherwise, it would have been five stars all the way around. It may have also been helpful to know there are stairs everywhere. We had to scrounge up a baby gate for the little one and then rig it to keep her safe.

Wooded setting just minutes from shopping

The home is quad level with the kids rooms on the bottom two, the family space on the third level, and the master bedroom up top. There is a washer dryer which work well. There is a hot tub and a fun game room down on the bottom floor too. There is also a full deck with a retractable awning. The decor is fun 60’s theme. Furniture in the 60’s wasn’t particularly comfortable, but it’s adequate for TV viewing. Great drive through coffee shop 4 minutes away called Java 2 go. Fantastic Thai place just 3 minutes away, and a small convenience store just 2 minutes away. But looking out the windows it seems like a secluded wooded area. Super cool. We enjoyed our stay and plan on coming back in a few months.

Wedding retreat

10 min away from Kelley Farm so perfect for out of town wedding guests or for a "get ready place" for all your set up peeps for wedding. Very communicative hosts and home was clean and super functional. Would totally recommend it!

Why they chose this property

You've never stayed at a home quite like this one. Every piece of furniture, every small appliance and utensil, every corner of each room has been meticulously designed and decorated in exquisite Mid-Century Modern style. From the coffee bar made from a repurposed 1952 Motorola television to the MCM supper table with seating for up to eight. The bedrooms are tastefully done in individual, classic colors like Mustard Yellow, Olive Green, Burnt Orange and Teal.

This large home on 1/3 of an acre has plenty of room to roam and explore. Four bedrooms comfortably furnished with high-end linens. Board games, puzzles and more. Plenty of parking for numerous cars, RV's and/or boats.

After spending the day exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest, enjoy some classic fondue (fondue pot's in the kitchen), then retire to the upstairs living room to listen to some classic 60's albums on the record player (it's also a bluetooth speaker for your own music). Or watch some tv on the huge television custom-built to look like a 1962 flat screen. Want to enjoy either of the fireplaces? Just push a button and they turn on.

In the mood for an after dinner drink? Head downstairs to the authentic tiki room with decor curated from all over the world, including a three-foot Moai head and original 60's bamboo tiki bar.

Then it's outside to the hot tub. No vacation is complete without a soak in 100+ degrees of water. Make sure to keep your eyes open while you relax, one of the many local deer might try to join you in the hot tub.

Mid-Century Mountain is the ideal centrally located home for your Northwest getaway. 60 minutes North to Seattle, 60 minutes East to Crystal Mountain Skiing. 60 minutes south to Mt Rainier. 30 minutes West to Tacoma and Puget Sound.
