About this property
"The Arched Chalet" Stunning Green Mountain views close to Killington and Okemo
Welcome to the Arched Chalet, one of the last arched ski homes in the area located on Plymouth Notch ski mountain. The ski mountain isn't operating at the moment but it is for sale. The mountain is wonderful to hike, explore and take in the views of untouched Vermont scenery from our hot tub. Our modern and spacious chalet is also situated south of Killington, north of Okemo and just outside Woodstock, there is no shortage of things to do in the area!
During the winter months, you have so many activities nearby at Killington and Okemo, and many other ski areas in the region.
During the warmer months, it is near a string of lakes and Camp Plymouth State Park on Echo Lake that has a great family friendly beach. Plenty of local shopping, endless hiking, etc.

The space:
Feel like kicking up your feet and relaxing? Our mid-level, large living room is perfect for unwinding. Includes a new wood burning stove, soaring arched ceilings and a wall of windows looking out on stunning mountain views. Our home is filled with new furniture and appliances, beautiful decor, two chair swings, new beds, smart TVs and strong internet.
On the first level a family room with a larger smart tv and sofa is perfect for movies, board games and as additional hang out space (the wood burning stove in the first level is not for guest use, however the main level stove can be used for those who are experienced with wood burning stoves).
The loft space is great for taking a nap or as additional sleeping for your guests. Please be sure to watch children on this level as it does open to the living room below.
Sleeping:
-Primary Bedroom (third level) Queen bed + pack and play
-Loft (third level) Twin bed + trundle
-Guest Bedroom (second level) Queen bed
Bathrooms:
- Full bathroom (second level)
- Full bathroom with bathtub (third level)
Kitchen:
- New counters, new appliances and freshly painted cabinets give a mix of modern and rustic in our chalet. We do not have a microwave and our retro fridge is on the smaller side.
- New dishwasher
- Cookware
- Barware
Heating:
- All rooms in the house have their own electric heat and the large common areas have their own high powered gas heating as well (all newly updated).
- Portable fan
- No air condition
Outdoor:
Outside we have two decks on the backside of the house that faces the green mountains with amazing views. One the main level, and another on the second floor. These are perfect for star gazing at night as well! On one of our decks we have a new Nordic hot tub that is serviced and cleaned weekly. It's a perfect spot to take in the green mountain views.
On the front of the house we have another deck facing the road.
There are plenty of areas to enjoy the outdoors. Killington and Okemo are within 15 minutes, and this house is situated near hiking trails and nearby several lakes including Camp Plymouth State Park which is right down the road and has access to a beautiful lake, with rentals for standup paddle boards, paddle boats, and a nice beach for kids.
Washer/Dryer (first level)
Wifi and Cellular Service:
We have free high speed WIFI for our guests to use. You will need to turn on WIFI calling once you arrive and get on our WIFI. Cell service is spotty so it's recommended to use WIFI calling.
*We do not have landlines and cell service is spotty.
**Prior to departing we recommend you print or screen shot directions incase you lose cell service while en-route. Within 5 miles of our location, cell service is highly spotty.
Winter roads:
The property is situated on a steep mountain. While the driveway and roads are plowed and treated by our association, be highly cautious if there is snow. Since the road is steep, if the weather has snow, we highly recommend an all wheel drive vehicle with snow rated tires. If you don't have a 4x4, visiting is fine in the winter, just don't drive in snow. In the winter conditions can change quickly and we don't want you getting caught in a bad situation.
Generator:
With the sometimes harsh winter weather in Vermont, we installed a new, full house generator that will automatically start should there be a power outage.
If you have questions, email or call us, and we will give advice.
Other notes:
*No Pets.
**Please do not leave young children unattended in the loft level.

About the host
Hosted by Jordan Lund

My name is Jordan and we're super excited to host you at our mountain chalet in central Vermont! My husband and I love traveling and weekend getaways with our three kids! We also enjoy home design, projects and renovating. We always talked about having our own little vacation home we could enjoy as a family and also rent out to family and friends. When we discovered this property we knew it had the potential to be an amazing mountain escape. We've done a lot of work to update this 1970's ski chalet and bring it back to life. We are so excited to share it with you and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
The views, the large windows and unique architecture. Also, the central location to lots of Vermont attractions like skiing, snowmobiling, lakes, farms, hiking, shopping and great food.
What makes this property unique
So much to do in every season especially in summer at Echo Lake, fall leaf peeping and winter skiing. Our property is unique and special due to its location as well as its architectural features. My background in home decor and design helped me with the vision to update this home while also retaining its original character. We hope you enjoy your Vermont experience at the Arched Chalet.
