Ponderosa Paradise @ Buchanan Vacation Homes - Luxury Lodge/Pool/Basketball

Family and friends are welcome at Ponderosa Paradise. Built-in 2021/22, our new, single-level home has been crafted with past guest suggestions in mind. Every one of the 6 bedrooms has its own ensuite bathroom and no one has to sleep in a bunk! We doubled up the refrigerator space with 2 indoor fridges and 1 exterior (everyone comes home hungry from the river).

The basketball hoop and concrete pad are all yours, as well as a ping pong table, and a spread of lawn games. Your private pool patio has a cabana kitchen, BBQ pit, ½ bath, covered dining for 29, and a flatscreen tv. You can get even more sporty by breaking out the pool volleyball equipment. To top it all off, you get access to the famous Concan Swimming Hole for the length of your stay, for free!

This place is perfect for families and friends who want to relax on the Frio River and keep playing when they come back to their vacation house.

We went all out on the kitchen conveniences. We know Concan can be a bit “rustic” when it comes to some of the cabins. This is not that house.

Enjoy dinner on the patio with dining for 29 as the sun sets over the Frio River Valley.

****There is NO gate/fence between the backdoor of the house and the pool area. Fence encloses the outdoor space. Please do not let children outside unsupervised.****

This property was perfect for our trip. We had our families come together for the weekend and this house fit our group! The layout is very efficient and we had plenty of room to spare. The outside wetbar worked great for hanging out and the outside bathroom was a nice touch.

Great multi-family weekend getaway!

This house was beautiful. We spent lots of time in the backyard where kids and adults enjoyed playing volleyball, ping pong, cornhole and tether ball. The kitchen and living room also had plenty of room for all our 21 guests.

Family Reunion

The house was very nice and there was plenty of room for all of us. It was nice that everyone had a bed and didn’t have to sleep in a bunk bed. The outdoor area was nice and large so that all of us could be outside visiting and have seating. The kitchen was well stocked and the pantry was great for storing food. The house was very clean and cared for. I would certainly stay there again.

First trip to Concan - big family group. House outfitted with everything we needed (bring your own towels and don’t forget kitchen towels!) Bedroom layout was perfect, pool was great , beautiful, peaceful, awesome stars at night. Enjoyed Garner State Park hiking and Concan swimming hole. Needed some help with door access and swimming hole code- Shane immediately available to assist. Would totally stay in this property again

Great vacation rental!

This house was perfect for our group of 5 family's. Everything meeted our expectations. The view at the pool was gorgeous and being at the end of a cul de sac was also a plus. The only issue we had was that the pool got very murky towards the end of our stay. But the water was also being shut off from 12am-6am so maybe that had something to do with it. Other than that, this house was great!

Amazing home with a huge layout.

We loved the house and property. It was right off of River Road. There was just a couple of minor things like Keurig not working. No hand mixer. Restroom outside out of order but the house had 6 restrooms. We will stay there again. We enjoyed staying there very much.

Family Trip

We received check-in information promptly about an hour before arriving. The house was beautiful, a great size, and very clean. The outdoor area was amazing for all of our kids and adults never felt crowded. We had a total of twenty-four people. Extremely well stocked in the kitchen area. Having the washer and dryer was very helpful. We did have a run-in with one side of the house having plumbing issues in the afternoon. But Shane was very prompt in answering and coming to check out the issue. It was resolved the following morning. He was informative and kept us up to date with what was going on. Besides that everything was wonderful and we are excited to come back.

Fun Family Reunion

The property had fun for everyone! Pool, ping pong, basketball, tether ball, fire pit, tvs, wifi, lounge areas for conversations and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms!! All of us marveled at the set up of this property! Just a short driving distance to the Garner State Park and Concan swimming hole! It was perfect for us!
