Summer cottage living

The Hobbit house was a delightful summer stay. Brittany was very communicative and took care of the one small issue we had. Very accommodating and understood our needs. The house was very comfortable and cozy. Would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful, very clean and comfortable - an all around great rental

The hobbit house is absolutely wonderful! Spotless and very tastefully decorated, the interior is exactly the way it looks in the listing photos and has the perfect amount of natural light. I have dust mite allergies and have found that even clean spaces can have unexpected dust mite triggers, but the hobbit house didn't trigger my allergies at all. The host is super responsive while giving full privacy and the location provides great access to things like groceries with a bunch of options around 5 minutes away by car. The plants in the front area were beautiful and made the air smell sweet, and one day we saw rabbits frolicking among them. I would certainly love to rent here again. A couple things that may be worth knowing for planning - the master bed is a bit high, so I needed to kind of climb in (I'm 5'4). The mattress is super comfortable and I didn't have any issues with the height, but I know my much shorter mom would struggle with it, so I figured it could be worth knowing about if you're significantly short or have mobility concerns. Also, if you plan to use the laundry machine or dishwasher, bring whatever detergent you need. If detergents were provided, I didn't notice them, but there's a 24 hour Walgreens just 3 minutes away and multiple groceries stores and a Target near by as well, so it's easy to grab what you need. Lastly, if you're a hammock lover and the hammock pic draws you in, check to see if it's available - I think it's weather dependent.
