Ben, we are happy to know that you had the memorable stay you deserved! We are so glad to hear Big Canoe has offered the amazing view experience it has to offer and we hope to host you again soon. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We value your feedback.
We loved this house! The view was amazing. You can see Atlanta on a clear day. The downstairs area with pool table and family room was very nice and cozy. Kitchen had everything you would need. It is high up mountain which doesn't bother us but roads are steep. We love Big Canoe and saw so many deer!

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Pros:Beautiful home with a great layout, stunning views, and plenty of space for a large family.Cons:The home is at the top of a mountain with very narrow, winding roads. Driving up requires skill; not recommended for large SUVs.The lockbox was broken, and we had to force it open at midnight in freezing weather with young children. We were later told the lockbox has been broken for almost a year.Management was unresponsive. We reported a broken dryer for four days with no action and were told it has also been broken for nearly a year.Cleanliness was lacking, with cobwebs, dust, and even a large spider found in the bathtub.Summary:Nice house, but poor management and unresolved long-term issues significantly impacted our stay.

We’re truly sorry for the challenges you experienced during your stay, especially given the stress of late-night arrival and traveling with children. Issues with the lockbox, dryer, cleanliness, and communication are unacceptable, and we regret that these concerns were not addressed promptly. We understand how disappointing it is when long-standing problems impact what should be a relaxing visit. While we’re glad you enjoyed the layout, views, and space, we deeply regret that management issues overshadowed those positives. Your feedback has been taken seriously and is being used to address maintenance and response times moving forward. Thank you.
Please do not follow GPS, as it will direct you to the most challenging road in Big Canoe. Too many turns and steep incline will stress anyone driving to Eagles View in a hightop van. When you check-in at the guard gate, please ask them the best route to take.

Thank you so much for sharing this helpful tip! We understand how tricky navigating can be, especially in a larger vehicle. We’ll definitely share this advice with future guests to help make their drive smoother. We’re always here to ensure your stay is as stress-free as possible!
I traveled with a group of moms for a weekend getaway. The property is stunning. The view is by far the best I’ve ever stayed at in GA. The layout of the bedrooms was perfect and the fact that each bedroom had their own bathroom was very accommodating. The kitchen was spacious and had all appliances needed. We did get notified 2 days prior to arrival the the oven was out of order so that was not ideal but we made it work! A few things that could have been better was if the double French doors locked and stayed in place….. the front door only locks if you hold handle up and that came after 20 minutes of trying to figure it out and a phone call at 11pm to the agency. Small inconveniences that can easily be fixed if someone put in the time. Overall great property and I would stay again if the nuisances got fixed.

Amazing view but house needs work.
The view was breathtaking. However, the house is in dire need of maintenance and TLC. The double ovens in the kitchen don’t work. The furniture is aging and becoming threadbare (the wooden chairs on the deck are not useable unless a covering is placed over them). One of the balusters on the back deck is broken with a plastic bag tied to mark it. The sheets in the master bedroom had holes. The washer knob was broken so it could not be reset. The ice maker did not work due to all the frost in the freezer. The switch plate downstairs on for the overhead lights becomes dangerously overheated. The thermostat upstairs is difficult to set and is not true to the temperature it displays. The final morning of our stay there was no hot water for showers. For such a beautiful home it’s sad to see it so neglected.

Teresa, we're so sorry to hear you were disappointed with aspects of your cabin and had to deal with both of the stoves not working, worn furniture, holes in the bedsheets, broken washer knobs, and more. We hate that the cabin was not in pristine condition, and do apologize for all the inconvenience caused. We value all guest feedback, good and bad, and we're working to address all of these items with care. We, again, apologize for your poor experience. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better stay in the near future.
