Our group really enjoyed staying at this place and its off the grid location. The property is beautiful and had everything our group needed to bond and connect over a couple of days. The shuffle board table and hot tub were great luxuries and games to keep us entertained. Thank you for a great stay!
Incredible property with great views and very clean
We joined another family for our stay and could not have asked for more. There is so much to do in and around the house. Adults and kids alike really enjoyed our stay.
We loved this property, gorgeous views, stunning house with intricate details at every turn. Will absolutely rebook! Only missed the telescope that was posted in the pictures, would have been the icing on the cake!
This property was even more remarkable than the website pictures could depict. The decor, location, supply of linens and products were exceptional. The 14 of us enjoyed exploring the Colorado Springs area, but I think everyone would've been just as content to stay at the lodge to enjoy the grounds, hot tub and views from the deck for all 5 days.
We would like to thank the owners for allowing us to be guests at their fabulous lodge. We made memories for a life time while being there.
The pictures don’t do this property justice. Absolutely incredible home from the view, to the amenities, to the detail of decor. We were blown away by the beauty. Comfortable, cozy, and fun stay for our reunion with friends from all over the country. Our favorite part was stargazing in the hot tub!! We actually got to see the Milky Way too! So thankful for our experience here. Already planning another trip back.
If you like to be just a short drive or steps away from shopping, restaurants, and tourist attractions, this is not the place for you. For us, it was perfect. Nothing but peace and quiet in an extraordinary home in a beautiful location. And while not in the middle of everything, it was still conveniently located for many enjoyable excursions. We've been renting homes for over 20 years and this one is by far at the top of our list of favorites.
Absolutely gorgeous! A bit remote but so lovely. Lodge is striking. Beds are high, 38" off the floor and comfortable.
Spacious rooms. Beautifully decorated. Kitchen well equipped. It even has an air fryer.
there is a Horseshoe Pit south of the house by big pine tree. Picnic tables. No canoe or kayak, however.
We saw a Fawn with Doe, Mule Deer, Steller's Jays, Blue Birds, Red-headed Woodpecker, Flickers, Crows, Swallows, Chipmunks and Cottontails. We encounter a few hick-ups but weathered through. Absolutely will visit again. Thank you for sharing this lovely home.
We rented Blue Sky Lodge for 6 nights. The house was very spacious with gorgeous views and grounds. The outdoor space warmer didn’t work which was a minor inconvenience. The house was stocked with toiletries; however, a bit lacking on towels for the number of guest it can accommodate. We were a party of 8 and still had to wash multiples times. We did encounter a major issue on day 5 that was unacceptable as it posed potential safety and health risks. We had numerous lengthy power outages throughout the day and into the night, andwoke with no power on the morning of check out. The home has a backup generator, but it did not kick on. No electricity at this particular location is not just a simple matter of inconvenience for a number of reasons.1. The house’s running water and plumbing is reliant on electricity. 2. Extreme winter temperatures, 20’s-30’s at night, with no access to heat.3. This home is very secluded. There is no cell service within a 3-5 mile radius. Without WiFi, we had no access to weather alerts during an active high wind storm warning in complete darkness. I’m fully aware the host has no control over the weather. However, they were unreachable in an emergent situation, did not maintain their generator, and left us unprepared. In the midst of a high wind alert, we had to drive until we had cell service to contact them with no response. We then had to drive 45mins to town for extra water and battery operated flashlights as they had only one rechargeable
We had a 14-person family reunion at this palatial home in the mountains west of Colorado Springs and we all had a great time!
We appreciated the numerous bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen is well-furnished. There were many labels on light switches and cabinets making it easy to find things and return them to their proper place. We loved the open space on the main floor where everyone could gather easily. We had a lot of fun with the shuffleboard as well as all the games provided. The beautiful deck was a great place for hanging out. We enjoyed watching movies on the big screen TV that has an excellent sound system. The internet was fast and dependable.
The only issues we had were:
1)the upper bunks in the top floor bedroom are unsuitable for anyone who is a teenager or older due to lack of adequate space between the mattress and the ceiling.
2)the chairs at the kitchen counter are too low for anyone to sit there comfortably for a meal or even conversing with people in the kitchen; and
3)a number of the bathrooms do not have adequate lighting.
The house is located quite a ways from the nearest services but the location is spectacular! We would definitely stay here again.

4/5 - Family Weekend
The property is very nice, large and inviting.
It was however lacking in several aspects of cleanliness (dead bugs everywhere, pots/pans and dishes still dirty, surfaces not wiped etc). It also isn’t stocked well with items you may need that the description says it has (sugar, paper towels, dish towels. Coffee pot also does not work well). No telescope, which is listed on the description.
The property manager is also very difficult to communicate with. I had to send several messages before I’d get a response, and we’d called and left messages a few times with no calls back. Difficult if something comes up during your stay.
The property is also not fully private (slightly misleading description). There are other homes on the property.
Last complaint was the amount of rules. The property has two full pages of rules (some of which are totally valid) but has other rules like don’t use the hand rails because you might get a splinter, don’t submerge your head in the hot tub, must use a coaster, no shoes allowed.
We’ve stayed at several properties, but this one by far had the most house rules you are expected to adhere to or you’ll be fined $500.
Overall though the house is spacious, decorated well and comfortable. Hot water, warm home. Amazing views!
4/5 - Some parts of the property are fabulous, some parts could definitely be improved on.
